Hello guys when i transfer any mkv, it just pop up and transfer interrupted.... I can't find properly on google directly..So i am sharing the solution here.
Mfpmp.exe is a Media Foundation Protected Pipeline EXE belonging to Microsoft Windows Vista from Microsoft Corporation. It is a program that runs automatically every time you play DRM content on Windows Media Player to prevent the DRM file from being hacked. While it is not a dangerous file, it's been known to use lots of system resources when it runs and slows down computer speed. Removing Mfpmp.exe can be accomplished easily to prevent it from running on your computer.
Instructions
1 Open the Windows Task Manager by pressing "Ctrl," "Alt" and "Delete" together. Click the "Processes" tab.
2 Locate the "mfpmp.exe" process and click it. Click "End Process." If it is not a currently running process, move to the next step.
Click the Windows "Start" button and click "Start Search." Type "cmd" (without quotes) and press "Enter" to open the command prompt.
4 Type "takeown /f C:\Windows\System32\mfpmp.exe" (without quotes) and press "Enter."
Again type "icacls C:\Windows\System32\mfpmp.exe /grant (user name):F" (without quotes) and press "Enter." Type your name in the "username" category.
5 Double-click "My Computer" on your desktop and double-click the "C:" drive. Double-click the "Windows" folder and double-click the "System32" folder.
Locate "mfpmp.exe" and right-click it. Click "Delete."

I have the above program FLVPlayer.exe with some *.flv files.
*.flv files now is defaulted to open with windows media player in the properties.
I need to change the default program to open *.flv to FLVPlayer.exe. However this program is not listed in the Default Program List. I have been trying for the past 5 hours how to get this done.
When trying to set default program to run *.flv, since FLVPlayer.exe is not inside the Default Program list, I go manually browse to the FLVPlayer location. But when I selected the file from this location, Windows does not seems to pick it up.
I need to know what is the trick to add any .exe program into Default Program list.
Can anyone help me out..
Thanks.
you need to tap and hold on the .exe file and select copy
then go to windows/startmenu/programs
and the click on the right soft key (should say EDIT)
then tap paste shortcut
then tap and hold the shortcut and tap rename then rename to desired name then you should now see it listed alphabtically i the start > programs path
Hi JayJay,
Thanks for your quick reply. I already have the file in my Start > Program Path.
What I am not able to do is to set *.flv file to automatically open up with Flvplayer. Fyi, I am using Windows Vista and how i am doing it is via
Control Panel>Default Program > Associate a file type or protocol with a program.
My problem is i am not able to get the FLVplayer.exe into the Default Program list from which I can select the .exe for file association.
When I go to Control Panel> Default Program > Set Default Program, Vista will do search, but somehow it cannot find the .exe .
I tried following your suggestion to drop the .exe into control panel > Default program, but when i do OPEN the folder, I cannot paste the .exe in.
Appreciate if you have any more suggestion.
it may be program wont allow thid, maybe if you cinract the reator theg can help
Adobe Media Player
Hi
I had Adobe's media player installed and that played FLV files pretty well. It's on their website.

Quick tip to enable file sharing on Windows 8 RT:
1. Open the desktop mode
2. Open Explorer
3. Right click on "Computer" and choose "Manage"
4. Expand "Services and Applications"
5. Select "Services"
6. Find the "Server" service and double click it to open.
7. Change the Startup type to "Automatic" or "Automatic (Delayed Start)
8. Click "OK"
9. Right click on the Server service and choose "Start"
You can then make shares as if on a normal Windows 8 PC. This also seems to give Libraries the option to share as well.
Ben
Skip the first 5 steps: just type "services.msc" into Start, and hit Enter.
You can also use the Shared Folders snap-in to Management Console (I can't remember the exact msc filename right now) to share folders beyond what the GUI permits.

I was wondering how to share folders from surface to pc. I know you can use homegroup but I just like setting the folders I want. As well I hated when I went on my desktop and under network the surface is there but you can not gain access. So this trick will let you.. It opens up the "share" tab under properties on the folders when right clicking. Here ya go.

By installing "Debian noroot" and "WINE" you can run StarCraft natively in x86 Android device. No cpu emulation is needed.
This guide is for x86 (Intel) based tablet only. This should not require a rooted device. You will need enough free space in the internal storage to hold Debian noroot+wine+StarCraft CD. I am guessing about 1.5GB. It will be much easier to set up if you use a Bluetooth keyboard as some typing is needed in the Debian terminal. Update:Feb-5-2015 Fix choppy audio for Starcraft (at http : // androidforums.com / threads / guide-run-starcraft-in-x86-android-tablet.893425 / )
1. Install "Debian noroot" [by Pelya] from Google Play
** I am not allow to post outside link, just search for debian noroot in Google Play
- recoommand also install the hacker's pc keryboard
2. In app list find "Debian" app and run it, it will download 600MB of Debian image. Once it is done you will see a Xfce desktop Environment.
3. double tap on "Enable Audio" icon to install pulseaudio package, this will download another 100MB
4. double tap on "Root Terminal" icon to launch privilige user terminal. the device back button show/hide the soft keyboard.
type "apt-get install wine"
type "apt-get install libgl1-mesa-swx11-i686" (software-based OpenGL)
5. Connect android device to Windows host. Have your Starcraft CD in CD drive. I assume CD drive is at D:
6. Android Debian have no HW openGL support, we need to tell WINE not to use opengl. Create a text file in Windows host named it something like no_opengl.reg, put following lines in it:
REGEDIT4
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\Direct3D]
"DirectDrawRenderer"="gdi"
"OffscreenRenderingMode"="backbuffer"
"RenderTargetLockMode"="disabled"
7. Download Starcarft 1.16.1 (SC-1161.exe) patch from Battle.Net support. Open a windows cmd prompt, type:
adb shell mkdir /sdcard/SCCD
-this will copy all StarCraft CD files to /sdcard/SCCD/
adb push D: /sdcard/SCCD/
adb push SC-1161.exe /sdcard/SCCD/
-copy reg file too
adb push no_opengl.reg /sdcard/SCCD/
8. Back to device Android Debian, double tap on the terminal icon (not root terminal) to open a terminal
- to disable opengl for wine type this
regedit /sdcard/SCCD/no_opengl.reg
- now install StarCraft from SCCD
wine /sdcard/SCCD/setup.exe
- the StarCraft setup will run , install game as usual, I put game under c:\StarCraft\ for easy access
wine /sdcard/SCCD/SC-1161.exe // patch SC to latest version
- StarCraft.exe will not look for CD if you copy install.exe and put it in C:\StarCraft\StarCraft.mpq
cd .wine/drive_c/StarCraft
ln -s /sdcard/SCCD/install.exe StarCraft.mpq // symblic link works, no need to copy
9. Now shutdown Android Debian, (tap on the red arrow under "Menu" side bar)
10. Start "Debian" again , select device configuration
under video Settings -> enable 4:3 aspect ratio
- if you want mouse pointer track your touch point
under Mouse Emulation -> advance features-> disable Relative Mouse Movement
tap ok to continue
tap the screen again when you see resolution change message
tap the word "custom" and give 640 width and 480 height.
select your prefer font scale, continue to desktop
11. double tap on terminal, type "wine C:/StarCraft/StarCraft,exe" to launch StarCraft
12. If all goes well you will see the main menu and touch should works. Try start a new game. You will hear choppy or no audio. That is an known issue of Debian noroot. I have no fix for the audio at this time.
13. You can create a Xfce desktop launch icon to run game later.
P.S this process should works for other 2D Windows games that don't require CD to play.
Hi,
I have tryied your method here http://androidforums.com/threads/guide-run-starcraft-in-x86-android-tablet.893425/ in order to avoid chop sound at wine, but when i make ./wine-audio it says "no such file or directory"... what may im doing wrong? Is it normal?
Thanks!
I noticed there are some questions on this forum that relate to copying text between phones and PC's.
I'm an independent developer and have written a free app that does just that. It runs as a service on both windows and android. It works over LAN. And it allows you to do 2 things:
1. You can copy text from android to your PC by simply copying some text in android (Long press -> copy) and then pasting it in Windows (CTRL+V or right click -> paste)
2. You can copy text from PC to android by simply copying some text in Windows (CTRL+C or right click -> copy) and then pasting it in Android (long press -> paste)
Wondering why you would need this?
Have you ever wanted to copy paste a URL from your android device to your PC to look at it on a bigger screen? Ever wanted to send a text message by typing it on your PC? Ever looked up a route description on your computer and realize you had to type in the exact same address in your GPS client? Did you ever e-mail yourself because you needed some text on another device?
No? Well then you probably don't need it at all. Sorry to have wasted your time
