My P500 is now in emergency mode and the phone is not being detected by kdz or lg mobile support tool when previously it was
The handset is in emergency mode after I tried to get it back to stock lg 2.3.3 [using lg mobile support tool] after I realised I had a version of cwm recovery I had installed [v5.x] that was incompatible with the Kitkat rom I was trying to load [status 7 error]
I've tried multiple windows pcs and usb cables with no success. Therefore is there a way to recovery the handset out of emergency mode not using kdz or lg windows usb drivers e.g. from linux ?
I don't care what it is recovered too as long as it out of emergency mode e.g. cwm or twrp etc
ps: I am a newbie to flashing and roms etc

ok I found the issue, the usb cable was not connecting in the handset properly [but enough to charge]. The phone is back at stock gingerbread and rooted.
I am keen to get jellybean or kitkat on the handset so I can use a gps app that requires Android 4.1 or higher
If someone can recommend a version of cwm or twrp and a rom that would be appreciated

My wife N8000 go in bootloops from 7 days and after searching I get to know that this is due to /EFS and I mounted one using mk2efs and mount commands and I flashed Gnabo rom v8, booted successfully with factory mode and yesterday I removed it but all this the IMEI is unknownand simcard not accessible.
Yesterday, while trying to solve this issue I lost connection from PC running Windows 7 SP1 and the device in all types of connection, using two different cables, changing ports switching between download mode, recovery mode and even while the device is running with debugging on but I can't change connection mode from MTP to PTP because I can't find this option.
I tried to fix it today using work PC running Windows 8.1, but the device got recognizied once and I tried to flash stock rom using Odin 3.10.6 but it stopped in the middle of this process and the device is only working in download mode now and the PC isn't recognizing it. I tried using ubuntu from USB drive and use heimdall but it can't detect the device too.
I've the rom on the device memory and I've stock rom and recovery on PC.
EFS restore your backed up efs folder .
There are things you can do if you search for IMEI lost or similar words. You can try DL the Stock version for your phone & use Odin to flash it
I've flashed stock rom but the imei is wrong and I can't register to network and I don't have backup of efs
hello ,
After reading a lot about my device i see a lot of people saying we need fast-boot working for our device to start any type of development , What causes a device not to work with stock SDK fast-boot ?
When it comes to fast-boot, what exact drivers are used to recognize the device in fast-boot mode ? for example the current drivers installed under LG drivers are LG Android Driver , LG SP USB Driver , LG United Mobile Driver , LG USB WML Modem Driver ?
i use both windows and Ubuntu and followed every fast-boot guide on the internet and just cant quit get fast-boot working , i can get adb commands to restart the device but that's about it .
the device im working with is the LG G Stylo LS770 .
I have tried the following:
- rebooting to bootloader
- installing / uninstalling drivers (USB, alcatel. & android drivers)
- Used different cables.
- Used different computer
- Plugged in different ports
- Different versions of the Mobile Upgrade Q
- Have tried using the Eluga Switch Firmware
- Updating USB drivers
I can transfer files just fine via TWRP & when the phone is running.
Have you tried going back to stock with Alcatel's mobile upgrade software?
Hello, a friend of mine brought me probably bricked sm G920F (galaxy s6). he was on custom rom and twrp 3.0.2. He accidentaly wipped everything on the device and now it is stacked on twrp loading screen. i downloaded usb drivers and odin to flash back to stock but the pc is not recognizing my device when i boot into download mode. So i am a bit stacked since twrp is not loading and the phone is not recognized by my pc. We tried on different pcs with different cables and usb ports but still the phone is not get recognized.
Any suggestions?
hey, I'm in a similar boat.. been wrangling with it for a few days I am attempting the Emergency Software Recovery using Samsung Smart Switch, have you tried that?
It's shown when inquiry adb devices?
You must flash original firmware with ODIN
