I have tried the following:
- rebooting to bootloader
- installing / uninstalling drivers (USB, alcatel. & android drivers)
- Used different cables.
- Used different computer
- Plugged in different ports
- Different versions of the Mobile Upgrade Q
- Have tried using the Eluga Switch Firmware
- Updating USB drivers
I can transfer files just fine via TWRP & when the phone is running.
Have you tried going back to stock with Alcatel's mobile upgrade software?

I am in desperate need for a stock recovery.img for my LG-P509.
My stock android 2.2 was recognized by "LGMobile Support Tool" and updated to stock 2.2.2.
I rooted my phone with Gingerbreak, then i forgot to make a manual backup of my original recovery.img (thru a terminal emulator), then i installed a custom recovery (ClockworkMod 5.0.2.0 - Old BB), and then i did a full system backup.
Now my phone is no longer recognized thru usb by any computer so i can't run any computer based tools, I would want to flash an original firmware from LG thru the "LGMobile Support Tool" or "KDZ updater" (i already have an original "V10S_00.kdz" firmware from LG to restore everything), but the problem is i have no USB access.
I have installed, uninstalled, reinstalled the LG United Mobile Driver (USB Driver for Windows), LG Android Driver, LG USB WML Modem driver, LG SP Usb Driver Installed and LG Support Tool.
I've tried the different combinations of:
"USB Debugging" off, "Mass Storage Only" on with sd card
"USB Debugging" on, "Mass Storage Only" off without sd card
I did this on the win 7 machine that once recognized my phone, then i tried on another machine with win 7, then i tried on a fresh install of win 7 and none recognized the phone (about to try on a fresh xp instalation).
I tried "LGMDP-v1.5" and it also didn't recognize it.
The phone devices (either as a phone, lge modem or usb storage) do NOT show up on the device manager (either correctly installed or as a problem device).
The computers do not even make the usual peripheral sound when the phone gets pluggled in, but they do it with usb keys, mice, keyboards, etc.
The phone does recognize the usb connection because:
When plugged to the computer usb it starts charging and makes available the option "usb tethering" on the phone.
When plugged to an outlet with the same cable and a usb charger it starts charging but doesn't make available the option "usb tethering" (as expected).
I tried different cables and got the same result.
Tried reinstaling the USB hubs, tried rebooting with the phone plugged in, tried removing the WPD drivers (as per some threads online: wpdmtp.inf and .pnf)
I've installed different ROMS and been able to restore backups without issue; i feel like i've run out of options and hope that the original recovery.img gives an emergency option to be able to connect to a pc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, i've been at this non-stop for 2 days and going insanely frustrated.
Boot into recovery, then connect phone to pc, then it will be detected and will install drivers itself

I had tried booting into recovery mode and plugging it in and nothing happened, tried the same with emergency mode, then tried both with the pc off and then turning it on. (i did this with the clockworkmod 5.0.2.0 recovery and with amon-ra 3.0.6 recovery). I thought the usb port itself may be damaged but it still charges and the phone does recognize the presence of usb data capability (because of making the option "usb tethering available).
Hello people, I have a particulartly weird problem. I have Samsung S7562, Or S Duos. I had Stock Rom 4.0.4, and decided to flash CosmicRom 3 on it, so of course, I'm rooted and I have Clockwork Mod 5 (Custom version). Also, I have USB Debugging On. One day I decided to go back to stock using Odin, and I got stuck. Here's what I tried:
-Connect the Phone to the PC with 3 cables, using 2 different ports
-Pull out the battery in Download Mode, Boot Windows 7 64 Bit with Phone plugged in
-Turning off USB Debugging
-Installing Kies oddly doesn't work, and also I can't uninstall Samsung Drivers, which is also weird (It crashes).
-I restarted my PC and did all these on my second PC, but no success.
I think that the problem is the driver. When my phone is in Download Mode, it gets recognized as a Samsung Modem, with a modem picture, and it gives me Error Code 10, even though I have proper CDC Drivers installed with which I connect it to Odin. What's the problem here?
Hey,
I have a WileyFox Storm, which runs Cyanogen OS as sotck (kipper). At the moment, it has TWRP CR (which is a special version for the Storm), but is not rooted.
A couple of weeks ago, I tried to connect my Storm to my PC (which I have connected it to before) via USB. However, it did not connect. There was no Window's 'chime' or notification (anywhere), and my phone was not on 'device manager' or 'printers and devices'. I had enabled USB debugging (I also tried it disabled), I had got the ADB drivers for the Storm and etc.... but all my phone said was that it was charging. I tried using different USB ports (both 3.0 and 2.0) and different USB cables. I also tried wiping dalvik and cache.
I now want to restore to factory image, however I don't know how to do it if my phone can't connect to my PC.
Please help!
Thanks )

Possible workarounds :-
1)Flashing a TWRP backup (if you have one). OR
2)Connecting to a different computer and flashing stock rom. OR
3)Dual booting a different version of Windows on your PC and flashing stock rom using the other OS.
Hello guys.
I'm having problems to update my AT&T Galaxy S8+ running Android 8.0 to 9.0.
When I plug the phone in download moden, Odin just doesn't not detect my phone (yhe IDCom label is still blank. and nothin semms to be happen in the log text area
If I restard the phone and let it get into the normal USB mode, then Odin starts detecting the phone (IDCom field changes to Com03).
What I've tried already:
- Reinstalling driver (1.5 & 1.7 version)
- 2 different usb cable.
- All the USB ports available.
- Reinstalling Windows 10 (1703 & 1903)
- 2 different PC
- Installing Samsung kies.
I don't know what else can I do. Since I'm living outside the US, I can't update by OTA.
Any kind of help will be appreciated.
I was trying to install pixel experience on my mi note 7 pro using Windows 10 laptop.
# what caused problem
I unlocked bootloader and then I flashed custom recovery provided in pixel experience website instead of TWRP recovery.I wiped data and now I was not getting further steps to follow, so I started my phone it got fresh installed again. here usb connection failed. Also Now my phone was not showing pixel experience bootloader. it showed mi bootloader.
# Issue
my pc cannot recognise my phone. I dont think this is a driver issue because I was able to successfully unlock bootloader using mi unlock tool which required drivers.
Also now my phone is also not showing option of switching between USB TETHERING/ CHARGING/ MEDIA TRANSFER etc in notification panel. So my phone is also not recognising my PC.
Note: usb was working perfectly before I flashed custom recovery of pixel experience and wiped the data.
# Things I have tried:
1) different Usb cabels
2) different laptops
3) usb 2.0 & 3.0 ports
