[Q] flashing error - General Questions and Answers

HI, I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo for the past 2 months.. Went for an upgrade to Kitkat OS. All steps were done including the zip files download, odin (latest version). Flashing was successful using odin, entered recovery mode, cleared data/cache, mounted SD card and selected the specific custom ROM zip file. But phone got stucked in "download mode" after rebooting, without pressing any keys other than the power button. I'm not able to enter the recovery mode either after this. Please help me to resolve this. Is this due to soft brick or any firmware issues?

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S 19000-Stuck in Downloading Mode

Hi Guys,
Ive managed to root my phone, install all the necessary ROM files on my internal SD card.
Unfortunately, i have now bricked my fone and i it either stays on the black screen with the initial "Samsung Galaxy S 19000" in white writing....OR...if i press the 3-button combo it takes me to "Downloading mode"
I followed a link which said to..
Step 4.Put your phone into download mode again and flash the CyanogenMod 7 initial kernel (cm7-galaxys-initial-kernel.tar file from initial CM7 package) to it as PDA without auto-reboot using Odin.
Step 5.Reboot your phone into recovery using three button combination again.
Once i tried to reboot into recovery mode...it wouldnt allow me...it only took me to downloading mode. I think its because i didnt install ClockworkMod Recovery.
I need help with the following possible solutions:
Solution A: Can i flash any ROM ONLY using Odin? At least i can get into the phone and install ClockworkMod Recovery manally.
Solution B: Is there any other way to get into Recovery Mode..so i can just wipe/reset to factory mode?
Solution C: Any other ideas??
Thanks...any help would be appreciated!

[Q] phone keeps booting into recovery.

Hey,
I've recently had a friend of mine give me his phone to look at.
It's a Samsung I5801
I tried installing numerous ROM's onto this such as stock froyo and kyrillos 9.
Whenever i install through Odin i get to the stage where the data needs to be wiped through clockwork. Pretty straight forward, however when the phone is rebooted after this Odin does not detect the phone and will boot into recovery again.
Any ideas? I'm not much of a samsung kinda guy woking with htc all my life lol.
Solved.
Flashing a stock ROM, with bootloader in tact did the job. Had to say was sweating a bit as many were saying it could hard brick phone... Used European JPA.
Flash through ODIN i pray to god no one else has this problem
Wipe using Recovery
Just go in recovery mode and Wipe Cache and Dalvik-Cache.
Problem solved........
I have hard bricked my galaxy 3
I installed ClockworkMod recovery and selected to install ROM from SD card
my phone restarted and booted in samsung,s recovery mode
I selected wipe data and nothing happened for next in 2-3 mins,
So I removed battery and rebooted phone which again booted in samsung,s recovery mode for number of trials.
Then I renamed Rom Filr name to update.zip and moved it to root of SD
and rebooted in recovery and selected option Install update.zip which after some time started executing.
Phone rebooted and now it doesn't show anything else than samsung boot logo.
please help me out.
UPDATE:

Where did you get TWRP for Galaxy S Advance. I can't find it in the supported device list: teamw.in/twrp_view_all_devices
If you can't get past the logo and can't access recovery, you should try flashing stock firmware for you device and carrier from sammobile.
(sammobile.com/firmwares/ Enter your device model and download the latest firmware for your carrier and region)
You can flash via Odin.
If you still can't boot after flashing original firmware, then try going into recovery again (press and hold volume up + home + power) and do a factory reset.
After that, if you still want to install custom recovery, I recommend rooting your phone (you can easily find tutorials on that) and after, use an app like Rom Manager or Rom installer to flash a recovery. Both of these are available on the play store.
Good luck.

[Completed] [Q] my phone hard bricked and stucking at setup connection while using odin

Actually i wanted to update my phone by installing custom rom.For that i downloaded custom rom from xda developers website and the comments even good about working. After that i have rooted my phone using framaroot then downloaded apps like rom manager and twrp manager.Even using these apps didn't help me to get recovery mode in special way, it is coming in natural stock recovery mode. After that using rom manager app,i choose 'install zip file from sd card' option while the recovery is set to the twrp recovery mode and then i chose to begin the installation.Suddenly the phone got light off on screen and i thought that it is going to recovery mode but even after 2 hours there is nothing new coming on screen.I realized my phone got hard bricked,it is not getting into any recovery mode or download mode with combination buttons.I tried with odin to install stock firmware but the problem is it is strucking at 'setup connection' stage and gets fail. Please tell me what to do now?(my phone has only software warranty not hardware warranty now)
What device are we talking about?

(WT88047-Redmi 2 Prime). Unable to open TWRP recovery mode without OS

I installed TWRP 3.3.0 sucessfully on my Redmi 2 prime which was lagging a lot to install a custom rom. I wiped out all the previous data using twrp recovery mode. I had my rom zip file on my sd card. So to mount that ( had to remove battery) I reboted my phone without an OS. now I am unable to go into recovery mode. When I try power + Volume up button, my phone keeps getting rebooted in a loop. Using volume down + power button I am able to go into fastboot only. How can I get into recovery mode. Please help!!!!
I have a backup of stock firmware (excluding data) on a sd card.
PS: I read a similar thread here for a samsung device. The guy solved his problem using odin. what should I do.
