[Q] China Phones that work on AWS Network - General Questions and Answers

Hey, this is my first post. Not a lot of discussion on the forums about this topic. I'm sure it won only help me but countless people too
I currently live in Canada and I'm with a service provider called Wind Mobile. It runs on a AWS network (Same Frequency of T-mobile for Americans) , with bands 1700/2100 MHz. I have looked every where for a China phone that is not only good but that is compatible with my network. So far i have found none . If any one has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.
What specs I'm looking for is:
IPS display
At least 1GB of RAM
8-16GB of internal Storage
4.4 Kitkat
Any screen size.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, NO FAKE SPECS (as China is notoriously know for doing this)
Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated.

[Q] AWS compatibility

Hi there,
I've done some googling on the topic and i can't seem to find a concrete answer, i was hoping one of you could help me out.
When my plan is finished in december, i'm planning on switching over to WIND mobile since their prices are WAY better than anything any other canadian provider has to offer. Unforunately, their network only really works with AWS compatible phones. Now, my friend had a rogers captivate and switched over to WIND no problem. My infuse is an ATT version (not sure if theres a difference) but theres no mention of AWS compatibility on phonegsm for the captivate or the infuse.
I'm thinking that in that case, the infuse is also compatible?
If anybody has a friend that uses WIND, would it be possible for you to pop in their sim card and see if it works?
Wind Mobile requires your equipment to transer on 1710–1800 MHz, and receive at 2100–2155 MHz.
Due to the fact that the Infuses radio can operate on both 1800 and 2100 Frequency, I would assume that it would work. However, if you go to a Wind Mobile store, they can test your phone for free.

If it's an AT&T phone, it's not AWS compatible - simple as that.
Try unlocking a T-Mobile phone, much higher chance of working.

[Resolved] HSPA 850/2100 frequency smartphone.

I've been searching 850 and 2100 3g supported smartphone.
Since I use at&t in the US but internationally travels, I think this is the best combination for me but those are not many.
I've only found Nexus One with at&t model which thought to be as fiasco and also HD2 T9193... Anyway those phones are old..
What else phones are available? Your help is much appreciated.

How to Add more Operating Frequencies ?

Hi guys,
I got a new moto g 3rd gen in India model XT1550, the phone is awsm and works great in India. There was no issue while using it on 4G or other operating networks in India.
But now I am in USA and I have a sim from a company called CampusSIMS. It offers some decent plans at a reasonable price. The problem is I am stuck on 2G network, whatever I do I cannot get 4G or 3G working on my phone. Later I read that mobile operating frequency for USA is different. Can anyone please tell me if any of the US carriers will support 4G on my phone. (Like does any US carrier has a operating frequency fully supported by my phone on 4g/3g)
I am planing to buy a family/group T-mobile plan with my room mates, so does anyone have any idea on how to add T-Mobile operating frequency on my phone. Is it even possible on moto g, cos i saw some post where people have success adding more operating frequency on their unlocked phone eg. samsung, zte etc. I like the phone and don't want to change it or buy a new one.
Any help regarding this is appreciated.
Thanks.

Oppo r7 Plusm LTE inquiry

Hi,
I'm new to posting on xda, been using it for advice for ages but this is the first time I haven't been able to find my answer. So I'm going to apologize if I've posted this in the wrong place or done anything else incorrectly right now.
I ordered an R7 plus from Taiwan and received it a few days ago. A great phone, i am entirely in love with it. I can put up with the bits of scattered chinese in the settings as i will be flashing cyanogen as soon as it's available. My problem however lies in the connectivity. I didnt know a whole lot about wireless data before ordering the phone, but what little I did know I applied to my research and found that all three variants of the phone should work on my providers network. I have the Taiwanese variant, which does supposedly support the 2100mhz, and 2600mhz frequencies, which i believe are bands 4 and 7, anyway, these two frequencies are the frequencies my provider uses. Rogers uses FDD with 2100 being up and 2600 being down. Yet in the phone settings when selecting which LTE band 4 and 7 arent options, there's USA Band (Im unsure what this really is, I assumed it was 4 because much of the us uses band 4), 6, 33, etc. And I havent been able to get LTE to work. The APN is configured correctly. All anyone's been able to tell me is that it should work. I can provide any more information you guys need, but any help would be greatly appreciated.
Edit: For more info- My provider is Rogers, i have also tried it on Bell (still only 3g), and Wind, which works the majority of Chinese phones and it didnt even pick up their network. Any advice would be great!

Flashing a KoreanS6 (LG U+) SM-G920L to S6 SM-G920I

Hi I have a KoreanS6 (LG U+) SM-G920 and they don't use the 900 Mhz band with the 3G. I want to gift this phone to someone who lives in Cuba, over there, due to certain circumstances everything it's more complicated and recently they can use internet on their cellphones using 3G but the coverage is only on the 900 MHz therefore my KoreanS6 (LG U+) SM-G920 won't work at least with 3G. I have been gathering some information online and the specs for any S6 on LatinAmerica are pretty much the same, so I want to flash my KoreanS6 (LG U+) SM-G920 to S6 SM-G920I since this version has the 900 mhz 3G band, I have read people who succesfully have done similar things switching from Tmobile to Verizon and so on.
Also, I have gotten some answers telling me that I can't do this since these two phones are different models, this statement gets some contradiction with others who state that all hardware are the same and should not be an issue to do this flashing and "opening' this band. I would like some insides on this and any advice will be so much aprecciated.
