[Q] Keeping a backup of stock recovery after 5.0.1 update

So I just updated my GPE converted xt1032 from 4.4.4 to 5.0.1 after struggling for hours. I had to flash the full 4.4.4 system image in order for it to flash the 5.0.1 OTA, all of this was due to my recovery not being updated to 4.4.4 for some reason when I applied that OTA a while back, and because of this I was getting an error about the update package expecting KTU84P fingerprint but my device had the KOT49H fingerprint, even though I had indeed KTU84P installed, it was just the recovery that was stuck in KOT49H.
Why recovery didn't update from 4.4.2 to 4.4.4 is still a mystery to me.
Anyway, once I manually flashed the 4.4.4 image everything went fine.
However, now I obviously want to root the phone but I don't want to just go ahead and flash a custom recovery without first having a way to go back to the stock 5.0 recovery for future OTAs. I would just keep a copy of the 5.0 recovery.img file but there isn't one inside the OTA zip, but I know the recovery files must be there somewhere or else my recovery wouldn't be on 5.0 as it is right now.
Also there is no factory image at the moment for 5.0.1 where to extract the recovery image from.
So guys, do you know how to extract "recovery.img" for the latest 5.0.1 firmware from the OTA zip?
Thanks in advance

[Q] Can't find XT1032 Lollipop stock recovery

Hi,
I searched but didn't find a Lollipop stock recovery image file for my Moto G XT1032. I need it to update to 5.0.1
I tried with a 4.4.4 stock recovery (included with MotoTool AIO) but then the update failed.
Can anyone help me?
Thank you.

Hi, the stock recovery is the same for Jelly Bean and Kit Kat, you don't need a Lollipop Stock Recovery to update to 5.0.1, you need a Kit Kat one and 4.4.4
Which error did you got during the failed update?

Actually there's no error. When I click on apply, nothing happens. I have an option to cancel the update, that's it, no error. Then I restarted the cell went to recovery mode, tried to apply the update and displayed an error logo with "Error!" written in red. Then the cell boots up normally and I can use it. But now it shows 4.4.4 version number despite I'm still using 5.0

[Q] Build fingerprint mismatch during lollipop update in moto g xt1033

I am using Moto g (1st gen) Asian version (XT1033) with Android kitkat 4.4.4. When I tried to upgrade to lollipop (Asian sock test) using OTA, it returns an error that my current build is not
Code:
motorola/falcon_asia_ds/falcon_umtsds:4.4.4/KXB21.14-L1.40/34:user/release-keys
but
Code:
motorola/falcon_asia_ds/falcon_umtsds:4.4
History: My moto g originally comes with Android 4.3 and I upgraded to 4.4.4 via OTA(official) update. After release of Lollipop Brazilian OTA, I flashed my device with Brazillian 4.4.4 stock Rom and successfully upgraded to Lollipop 5.0 using OTA. After couple of days I found 5.0.1 (Brazillian OTA) and try to upgrade but for some issues(network) I tried to downgrade to 5.0 and accidentally flash Brazillian 4.4.4 again. As a result my device was soft bricked(Hang on Boot). I managed to fix the brick using Android GPE and successfully installed kitkat 4.4.4(Asian stock edition). After the soft brick I can't flash any other Rom because it failed on gpt.bin and motoboot.img. So i can't upgrade to Lollipop again using Brazillian stock rom. Currently I am using Asian kitkat 4.4.4 stock Rom without any problem.
I checked build.prop file but it shows the exact fingerprint version that Asian lollipop OTA (sock test) asked for. Where is actually the fingerprint file and how can I change it?
Code:
ro.build.description=falcon_asia_ds-user 4.4.4 KXB21.14-L1.40 34 release-keys
ro.build.fingerprint=motorola/falcon_asia_ds/falcon_umtsds:4.4.4/KXB21.14-L1.40/34:user/release-keys

Finally I figure out the problem. Custom recovery or other recovery except stock ROM can't update lollipop OTA. You have to flash the recovery of stock ROM. After flashing the stock recovery (4.4.4) everything is working just fine.

I need help

My device is a XT1033 unlocked bootloader with 5.0.2 Stock Rom Retail Brazil. I received a message from OTA. After this, I removed my root and flashed the stock recovery (OLD RECOVERY IS TWRP). But when I update, it doesn't update and reboot system with 5.0.2. I'm doing something wrong? Can someone please help me to make my Moto G back to stock firmware and update without any problems?
I didn't find any thread, so please help.
I'm new here!

After I downgraded my device from android 6.0.1
I'm now on MT7-TL10 V100R001C00B130 build number .
When I was on lollipop I have a back up stock recovery , as I flashed it back to get ota update and downgrade version of my phone .
I used twrp to flash the stock and also tried flashify too , which those worked when I'm on lollipop version .
And now i couldn't flash stock recovery on this Kitkat
I tried extracting the stock recovery image from its original firmware and flashed but it not working
I tried a couple recovery from Russian site
And it still not working
And now I still on 4.4.2 , can't upgrade to higher version due to crazy stock recovery
Im sure i installed the correct version of recovery
