So, I've bought a Turbo-x Breeze II 7' inch tablet, which comes with Android 4.0.3. Initially it came without Play Store, so I had to install it manually. It used to work perfectly, until about 2 months ago, when any app would just get stuck on "Downloading..." and never download. Same happens for updating apps.
I wouldn't be opening an XDA thread without doing some research. So, this is what I have tried so far:
-Updating Google Play and Google Play Services to their latest versions
-Reinstalling Google Play and Google Play Services
-Downgrading Google Play to an older version
-Factory Reset & format /data, /cache
-Signing in as a different Google user
-Clearing data of Download Manager
What else is there left to do? Any suggestions?

Here's what Google suggests: https://support.google.com/googleplay/troubleshooter/4592924?hl=en
I would suggest flashing GApps.zip again via Recovery

Thanks for the reply. I am not using a custom recovery though, so I can't flash anything.

Maybe you can boot up a recovery image from fastboot mode like this:
Code:
fastboot boot recovery.img
and flash the GApps flashable zip from the recovery that is booted up on your phone.

No, I can't make it boot on custom recovery, because there is no custom recovery for that device out there.
Is there any way to flash Gapps from within Android? I think that might fix it.
(I do have root access)
Here you can see how my stock recovery looks like. You think I could flash it from here?

So, I tried flashing Gapps from stock recovery, and although it said that they were flashed successfully, nothing appeared when I booted my tablet...
Any ideas guys?

Hi All,
I've been reading this forum for a good few days now as I am trying to get my Kyros functioning the way I need it to. However, I've run into a few problems and am not 100% sure as to what to do. Before I go on, I'm not very techy, so I would be very greatful if replies could be as straight forward as possible, without much jargon as that really loses me
First off, we've just managed to install the windows and ADB drives. I'm following all the instructions from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=858952. That took some hacks our side, but is now working.
I'm pretty stuck on the clockwork reboot though. Again, followed the instructions from the link above. When it initially rebooted, it went straight into the Android System Recovery mode (the robot with the triangle opening screen.) I've tried it over and over, following the directions exactly as explained in the link, but all I'm getting is the generic Androis system recov.
The Recovery zip file is on my SD card. Do I need to unzip it to get the recovery.img to show? Is that something that I'm doing wrong? I also updated the OS (I guess) from the coby site before I started working on these other changes.
So basically, this is the issue right now. Trying to get the clockwork to run and all I'm getting is the android system...and that's when it doesn't just reboot back to the home screen directly.
Any advice would be great. Thanks
And out of the blue, after an hour of angry TV watching, it's now worked. I can't tell you what I did differently as I followed all the same steps as before. Must just have been lucky I guess.
I am having the same issue, and i tried to unzip the update.zip but i boot back to the recovery mode, can someone assist me with this, i have a galaxy s (Vibrant).
thanks
Try going to your sd folder and delete the clockwork recovery folder then uninstall rom manager and redownload it from the market after it installs open up rom manager and click on flash clockworkmod recovery and let it download the update.zip file and your done

Oh yeah after all those steps and you still get back into the stock recovery system click on reinstall package and it should boot into cwm I hope that helps

I flashed the 4.1.1 OTA and after that I installed the Chainfire3D driver. After the reboot the phone didnt boot anymore. I pulled the battery and tried to boot into recovery but I couldn't.
The phone show this when I try to boot into recovery.

Then I tried to flash the recovery again via fastboot. Thing is
Code:
fastboot devices
doesn't list the phone as being connected. I tried 4 different usb ports on my machine.
Also, my phone is listed as unknown device in the device manager although the USB drivers are installed.
Is it dead?
No your phone isn't dead. If it still has root installed, you can download ROM manager from the play store and flash CWM from there. However it won't stick and you will have to flash it again after every reboot. But I think there is a fix somewhere. Just search the forums.

If not even get goo manager beta from market and install twrp recovery and then u should be good to go

You just have to rename the recovery script in /system/etc, reboot into fastboot and flash CWM and it'll stick.
Smh. The op said the phone WONT BOOT! He can't go to the market....
Op your phone is fine. That picture you posted is the stock recovery. Which is useless for you at the moment.
Boot the phone into the bootloader. Use fastboot on a computer to do one of these things. Flash or boot a custom recovery/do a full wipe and flash a full ROM with it. If you want to return to stock ics flash the factory images with fastboot.
Accepted solution
kkk this is my problem. sorry my english is very bad. next link is read and your problem solution.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1572307
Next is my step. Very good.
On Windows:
1) copy the ecxtracted files (two times with 7zip) on android-sdk/platform-tools/ (this is important, if you dont unzip it, dont complain about "radio couldnt be loaded")
2) run a cmd and moves in "platform-tools" folder
3) write those command:
4A) If you are coming from a custom rom, this wipe your data/cache:
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader-crespo-********.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash radio radio-crespo-********.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot -w update image-********.zip
I install my nexus s i9023 and android JB 4.1.1 then Chainfire3d installed. But not reboot again. I re-flash ICS and update JB. Chainfire is not running JB.
1) You first re-flash your ICS rom
2) Install CWM 6.0.1
3) Updade ICS to JB 4.1.1
3) Re-install CWM 6.0.1
4) Simple root install.
5) Not install again Chainfire3D. kkk it is not compatible JB.
i have followed all the steps using NRT to unlock boot-loader and root the phone.
Installed TWRT manager and flashed the recovery.
Now i am trying to flash CM12 for the first time and stuck with error message "can't install this package on top of incompatible data" during flashing .
downloaded the following flash zip from CM website: cm-12.1-20150901-SNAPSHOT-YOG4PAO237-hammerhead.zip (281.77 MB)
Can any one help me what needs to be done to proceed further.
i didnt wipe the data before. Now its working and closing the thread
I wiped everything on my phone via TWRP. Still getting this error!
This topic is old but in case someone else gets here I got a solution - Change /data partition filesystem to ext4 or other supported by ROM

In twrp, I had to fumble around to find advance wipe to clear data but worked like charm after that.
Thank you!
xiaomi note 4g dior
Let me tell my story,
My friend gave me an old xiaomi note 4g which was stuck at the MI icon on boot,
Luckily the phone did not lock boot-loader
So I use xiaomi flash rom to flash global room , it worked after i tried sometimes.
Then I booted to the phone, and other problem came, the phone was linked with an Mi Account , and my friend forgot everything about it
not email, no phone number
I did a search and they said the only way to bypass the MiAccount is using a Resurrection ROM or balallala
so I ended up with using
1. fastboot to install twrp
2. open twrp --> open adb sideload mode.
3. Open window command line and install Resurrection ROM though adb sideload
While installing rom though adb slideload , i got the same issue with topic
SO i cleared data and tried again,
IT WORKED , NO MORE ****ING MiAccount
THANK a lot

Hi
Playing with my wife's Nexus 5, bootloader unlocked, rooted, and latest TWRP installed but when trying to flash from android 6.0.1 to Lineage, I'm getting an error 7 image shown I hope.....
Is this just because I haven't wiped the data first ? (I'm fairly sure but...)
I dont dare try 'cause if it's not that she'll kill me, so would like to be sure before I wipe all her data..
Thanks
Update, it was that I just wiped all except the SD and flashed, all is just great
When I launched the update, my Nexus rebooted, installed the update...and showed me an Android on its back with a red exclamation mark (this one, I believe).
I restarted the phone and things seemed ok...except I got the "Google play store stopped working" message (or whatever it is in English) every 10 seconds or so. So in the apps menu, I chose to uninstall the play store updates...which uninstalled the complete app!
So I reinstalled the Play store with its last apk...and I still have the same problem. The play store crashes immediately when I try to launch it.
What's the simplest way to get it to work? Ideally, I'd like to avoid a full flash.
The phone is stock (no root, locked bootloader, ...).
Boot into recovery and wipe cache. You could also try wiping the app cache from the ROM settings.
Hi,
Done that and no chance: "Google play store s'est arrĂȘtĂ©"
Not sure but you could try erasing in fastboot mode but that may require an unlocked bootloader.
I suggest backing up your data, unlocking the bootloader, and restoring your data. Note that unlocking the bootloader will reset the phone.
Erasing what in fastboot?
Erase cache in fastboot mode; however, this may require an unlocked bootloader.
If you can't fix it, I suggest backing up your data, unlocking the bootloader, and reflashing a stock ROM.

Yep. "FAILED (remote: not supported in locked device)"
But I did it from the phone with no luck.
Tried reinstalling Google Play services and Google play store (from their apks). No luck either. In my notification tray, I have a "Unknown issue with the Google play services"
There is no way to manually flash just the OTA update, while keeping all my data?
The only solution I can think of is unlocking the bootloader which will also wipe the phone. If unlocking and rebooting doesn't fix things, a completely re-flash of a stock ROM may be the only solution.
FUCK!
Pardon my french but...I am (French). And pretty disappointed now.
If I got things right, I had to:
- unlock the bootloader

- restart the phone
- go (quickly, pressing IGNORE) through the setup phase after everything was wiped
- re-enable USB debug
- flash the MMB29Q with fastboot
But I can't finish the setup (because the app stops working since my system is corrupted somehow), so I can't enable USB debug.
EDIT: I was wrong: I don't need to activate the USB debug to use fastboot.
So I'm hopefully about to get a fresh system. I'm going to install TWRP.
I'm hesitating between:
- Stock system plus the xposed framework
- Stock ROM + custom Kernel (which one?)
- Custom ROM. It would have to be Marshmallow, fast and not power hungry.
Any advice?
USB debugging is not require for fastboot, it is required to issue ADB commands.
Hi, I think my problem is easy to solve, but I want to try others solutions. Well the thing is that I erased all gapps from my phone via rootExplorer (gms.apk, gmail.apk, sky...something.apk, etc) because I don't like those services; Until there, all works great (almost 4 months). I had problems with the internal storage (it was 99% but I didn't have many apps or big files) then, I erased the partition 'data' via TWRP, restarted the phone and all ok (the phone restored), but after set language, choose a name and last name and select a pin I can't go to the next step (in the section 'Google services' a dialog says: "unfortunately Google Play services has stopped") I guess it is because I don't have gapps installed...
I tried to flash gapps via recovery but I think it is not for stock roms...I know that the best solution is download the stock rom and flash it, but I don't have the capacity to download 2.7 GB...
So, someone who has idea about this problem??
sorry for my english, I'm still learning...
