i have a T-mobile htc one m8 with android 4.4.4 and i was wondering how to root and convert it to a gpe. i've seen threads on this but none are based on an htc one m8 running 4.4.4. would the process still work or not?
Hey I have an HTC one m8 with stock lollipop but i want to convert it to GPE lollipop because i am facing some difficulties with stock firmware.. Is there any way I can do this without rooting my phone per se.. as in can I convert my phone into HTC one m8 GPE with all the OTA updates etc?

Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. I'm sure you're going to need to modify your phone somewhat in order to convert it to the Google Play Edition. Can you please confirm which variant of the M8 you have please?

Can you tell me please, what I can do to update the phone as It is stuck on Android 4.4? Can I Install any Firmware? Needs to be some one specifically?
