Try restarting by long pressing the power key. If that doesn't work, take a backup of your data on your PC and then wipe the internal data. This worked for me.
What do you mean by do not convert tn GPE ?
I have a moto g xt1033 converted to GPE already ! Can't i install this ROM on my device ? i'm currently using MAHDI 2.9 .

It worked to perfection hize backup on a flash drive and I made full wipe data and cache dalvik sd, and install from otg pendrive.
Good work, I just like having radioFM of cm12 but mientrs use spirit fm.

i was on stock 4.4.4 flashed RR LP 5.2.9 with TWRP stuck on bootloop then tried with philz recovery same issue
Can I flash this using TWRP 2.8.4.0 ? and can I restore the backup of original ROM ? (i read here on XDA that TWRP recovery is not compatibile or won't restore backup. Thanks !

As mentioned in the post. But now in any custom rom (I tried 3 custom rom) only single sim is working. Also I can't hear calls..

Just change back to KitKat or GPE man. Your problem will be solved.. :silly:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2700502 link to revert yourself back to Stock KitKat. This is the safest way as you can flash it through bootloader / fastboot. Plus stock is stable and better.
Note : Everything will be WIPED off. Without any userdata and recovery (so you gotta flash it again)
After flashing I'm sure you'll get the signal reception back

I actually wonders out, why my phone can't use SMS. And HDR in the camera isn't available, it was available in CM, i think. and on my phone the digital clock in the lockscreen is weird. Plus, can i actually remove the second sim icon in the status bar? it bugs me out. Oh yeah, how could there be an option for NFC..? I think moto g don't have any.

HDR mode in camera needed.
Any camera app I try, doesn't give the HDR option. It is clearly a ROM issue. I am reporting you. No offense.
Please also fix camcorder mic volume as konstat has fixed it.

I don't know if this is the same thing:
"GPe uses EXT4 for it's 'userdata' filesystem, non-GPe uses f2fs. The GPe kernel expects an EXT4 partition and gives an encryption error if there isn't one. So just flashing a custom ROM won't work on GPe."

The "XT1032" model is the Google Play Edition / "GPE" version.
You may have to flash the Retail US firmware (472.1 MiB version, I believe), which will convert the partition type and fix the "encryption" error.
I put gpe stock rom from this forum when i was having problem.i was not having gpe when i buy the phone.just to be cleared

edit : Since I flashed GPE Firmware, I got the encryption problem, so I couldn't try any ROM,Now I just flashed the 4.4 US Retail and I can finally flash other ROMS(follow this :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=laU6NQ0LxR0)
Lesson learned: Never flash GPE on Moto G.
I cant fix the Moto G 1st gen boost mobile device. I tried flashing cm12 and it got caught up in a boot loop and so I wiped and tried to find a stock image but didnt have any luck so I tried a stock rom for 4.4.4 and when I flashed it said this is a xt1031 rom and this is a xt1032 device. I don't understand. I am not sure what I need todo to get the phone working again.. Can Somebody help asap?

If you have an xt1031 then flash a xt1031 rom... Simple as that.

I ended up getting Paranoid Android to work. I'm probably going to try installed cm11 and then going to 12. See if it will work that way

3) In recovery Wipe cache/dalvic/art cache> Factory data reset> clean to install a new rom

5) Reboot and wait for some time... Instalation takes some time... :good:

Install the app and click philz if your bootloader is unlocked. BTW it's written in that thread that can only be installed on cm12/cm11 etc. But not on stock. If you want a recovery on stock rom try the step 2)

Lol, flashing kk is recommeded because I did that myself. The thread says that It's self-tested by me well, I flashed cm11 and than cm12

cm11 isnt nessasary...
cm11 overrides system and userdata partition...
cm12 does the same... so there isnt any differenz in flashing cm12 from stock or from cm11....
only thing usefull is to flash latest stock before flashing cm12 ... because other than custom roms ...stock rom will override nearly all partitions.... that means better modem...baseband ...etc... so you should come from last stock

or skip flashing cm 11 or cm 12 and go ahead on RR by david
also i tried to back up TA but its fail need rooting acces..

But in my experience, the recovery was a little buggy and after some time was gone Not sure why. Used it just once to flash cm12

I have a HUGE problem. Please help me ASAP!
I just flashed my Xperia L to CM 12.1. I was already on CM 12 before. So I went into recovery, wiped everything and installed the new ROM from zip. Everything worked fine except for the network signal. I was getting no network signal at all. So, when I rebooted the phone, I saw that the ThunderZap kernel was also removed. I tried to flash the kernel using flashtool, but this particular variant has 2 .img files (bootlp and bootkk). I flashed them both using the FlashtTool. Now, when I reboot my phone, all I see is the ThunderZap logo. Please help me ASAP, as this is my only primary driver phone.
I rooted the phone using the install.bat toolkit. unlocked the bootloader using flashtool and imei on sony. flashed stock rom. then installed recovery and flashed a custom rom.
The wifi stopped working. cant even turn it on. (the date keeps reseting to 1970 on every flash btw)
Tried miui rom, cm12, stryfex roms. same issue..
I tried:
Installing a different version of flashtool
Changing wlan.ko(can't find a prima folder)
Installing a different kernel
Flashtool says error flash aborted on flashing stock ftf

Well, this demonstrates that a LBL recovery can flash correctly a UBL rom. @AleksJ, have a look here.
there is a bug or something. Sim 1 is working fine.
but in Sim 2. calls are incoming and outgoing properly but voice is not coming. not even dialing tone.

If bootloader is unlocked, think that it's possible. The installation script does almost everything in these cases.
Am I the only one that has problem on calls?The person on the other end of the line hears his voice twice everytime I make a call?Any advice?

Same problem as @iqan , but I didn't flash GAPPS. Recovery don't boot. СМ boot directly.
CM installed via TWRP.
@iqan Look here. Works for me.
To avoid losing of the recovery after ROM installation flash TWRP image into separate than boot partition.
After TA update, flash via fastboot:
fastboot flash recovery TWRP.img
To enter into recovery mode press Volume down + Power button until device vibrate. First release Power button, when teamwin logo screen shows release Volume down.

I've and tested on D2303 only.
Well i have stock GPE 5.1 with twrp 2.8.7.0 installed. The problem is that i cant flash any custom roms such as CM 12.1 ,Cm 13, nexus experiance rom etc. While flashing via twrp it gets stuck at " patching system image unconditionally". I have tried changing file system of data from ext4 to f2fs but still no success and says, E:failed to mount /system . Should i flash gpt.bin file ??? if so ,then can anyone provide gpt.bin for Lollipop.
Or is there is any other solution to this problem???
don't u have fastboot flashable zip file?? gpt.bin is there. I don't know flashing of only gpt.bin will work or not. why not a fresh fastboot flash??
Have you tried to "format data" from twrp? I did once when i had same problem and worked for me... Please, pay attention, this will wipe all your phone, even data partition, so make a backup of all your photos, music, video, documenta etc

don't u have fastboot flashable zip file?? gpt.bin is there. I don't know flashing of only gpt.bin will work or not. why not a fresh fastboot flash??

As per my understanding only stock roms are flashable via fastboot. Currently i have installed stock GPE 5.1 via fastboot but every stock rom requires flashing via twrp. If there is a any available, kindly tell me.

btw, here's gpt.bin (non gpe,xt1033) dont know if it will work or not.

I mean that uptill now, i have only seen gpe version roms available via fastboot method. All other custom roms are in zip format which can only be done via twrp.
Kindly tell me the procedure to install gpt.bin. Thanks btw

theres non gpe flash files that uses fastboot.
Heres the link. Download, extract, firstly flash only gpt.bin. if not works then do whole flash.

Finally took the risk and i flashed gpt.bin via fastboot, initially was stuck on bootlogo but managed to get in recovery. however whole data had been erased (good thing i had made a backup and transferred it to pc). Then i copied custom rom and moved on with its installation and guess what .....custum rom is installing fine
