[Fixed] H60-L02 Memory Problem - Honor 6, 6 Plus Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all
I got the Chinese version of Honor 6 (Huawei H60-L02) and it came with emui 3.0 its working great but the internal storage is 3.86GB only .
is there any fix for it because i saw other phones have about 10GB free storage ??
Edit : Just wiped data in recovery and its 16GB now

Hi,
You need to root your phone and kill a lot of pre-installed APK by link2SD or Taitanium Backup software ... etc.
I think this forum has the procedure to teach people how to root honor 6.
Good luck !

I see your problem is solved.
Have you bought your HH6 from 2nd Hand? It looks like someone flashed other Firmware versions from other models and tryed to restore the phone to the official model version.

I have the same problem , who can help me please.

Just install CWM and wipe data. After that, install stock recovery again. Don't forget to backup your recovery partition before installing CWM!

I don'nt have 16gb ....

Hi,
i've bought 2 days ago the tab. It's a branded TIM (italian carrier).
So i've decided to fit a stock rom like in the tread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1686514.
Everithing is fine, but i now don't see the 16gb.
If i tap settings/memory i get:
Memory on board
1,97 gb total
sd card
it's empty because noone is inserted
Then i run titanium backup to get some more info and i get:
internal rom 1.26gb (269 mb free)
internal: 2.11GB (1.79 gb free)
sd card: 2.11GB (1.79 gb free)
sd card and internal are the same thing for titanium backup ?? They are the same.
Could you please help me to find the lost ram ??
THANK YOU
PS If i insert a micro sd, in titanium backup i've one more row:
ext. sd card: 3.95 gb (2.73 gb free)

which galaxy tab 2 version did you have, currently there are 3 version for the 7 inch alone, P3110 (wifi only), P3113 (wifi only plus iR), and P3100 (with GSM enabled). The P3113 have 8 GB storage while the rest is varied between 16 - 32 GB.
I've the gt-5100 wifi+3g 16gb
Weird, on my P3100 (7 inch GSM 16 Gb) there's 11.87 Gb total in settings>memory. Could it be because yours is carrier branded version which usually has been modified to some extent, maybe try rooting and installing new stock / custom rom and see the result again?
I need your help.
I've started with CWM, done a full wipe (dalvik, cache, user)
Installed another rom (the Fry rom)
Done again a full wipe.
I get the same free space as on first post
I have the same problem, and when i flashed stock rom with the pitefile, i got 4.56Gb total memory on board.......Still missing about 8gb...
I have solved the problem guys. You have to flash the stock rom with a pifile called signed_espresso_20120220_16G, this opens for 16gb total memory. I have the file, but i cant upload it, so send me your mail adress and i will mail the file to you ho needs it.
Is it for the 10" or the 7" ??
I've done a search on google and i'm not sure what the file is for ... and it seems to be for the 7" version of the gtab.
Any further info ?
thank you
PS
when i used odin to install the rom i did not checked re-partion, following the instruction of the link on the first page. I installed the stock rom and then the ram was 2gb. Then i've installed the fry rom (that is a stock plus some whistle) with a full wipe. But i've the same problem.

Try downloading the official non branded firmware from sammobile.com or samfirmware.com, flash it using odin and use full wipe / erase.

[Q] Recovery with exFat support ?

Hi,
Does someone know about a CWM version or other recovery for Honor 6 that supports ExFat formatted MicroSD card ?
Thanks,
Seb
Yes, it supports
Hi
Thanks, which CWM are you using ?
The one I got didn't recognise exFat SD Card. CWM doesn't see the card, I have to use a FAT32.
I've got a CWM 6.0.5.1 for Huawei H60.
exFAT in Honor 6
Look at these pictures I uploaded here.
I have proved that it's work for Honor 6 supporting of SDCARD with exFAT format.
The SDCARD I use now: SanDisk 64G
File fomat: exFAT
CWM Version: 6.0.5.1, which is the same as yours.

Thanks, it's quite strange. I also have a Sandisk 64Go card but with the H60-L04.
I get :
E: Can't mount /storage/sdcard1
but I don't have the EMUI logo in my CWM baground but a droid getting out of a box.
maybe it's not exactly the same ?
Here it is :
Can you give me a link to your version ?
The one I got is : http://goo.gl/D02xeX
(comes from Honor 6 multitool)

Same here, I had to fight hard to convert my µSD to Fat32 to be recognized under CWM.
Kris Chen has the Emui logo in Background not us.

Hi, Kris,
Can you please point out the source of your CWM so that we can look at the info and get it?

Hi,soma900:
Here it is:
https://mega.co.nz/#!8wMVDQhI!SVpvnrz4WexesjCHR9jJYHBmaJXkOa6G2LHpvgbSOV8
Reminding:
1). Download this RAR file and extract to somewhere in your HDD. Remember to install Honor 6 USB driver in your WIN7 or WIN8 at first before going next couple of steps.
2). Connect your Honor 6 USB cable to any one of your USB ports and turn on USB debug mode in your Honor 6.
3). Get into the folder you extract RAR file and click the Run.bat file. Then you will enter CMD mode
4). Two steps that teach you how to go next step. Just press any key to continue if you have done 2).
5). Then 3 options you will see on your CMD window: (a).Flash EN/zh-CN CWM;(b)Flash official REC;(3)Exit
So if you want to flash English version of CWM => Choose (a); if you want to flash back official Recovery => Choose (b)
That's all and enjoy it.
P.S.
Remember to flash back official Recovery if you want to flash stock UPDATE.APP ROM.

Thank you, Kris,
Downloaded, flashed, worked like a charm. Made a nandroid backup it took unusually long period but worked on the exFAT-formatted external card.
One made this CWM is KangVIP, right? He is a well-recognized android developer from China. Pitty he himself never come to XDA. Thanks again!
Thanks a lot !
I'll try it quickly. so quickly that it is done.
Working for me.
Thanks again.
Yes, I got this file from KangVIP. He is really good at Honor 6 ROM development as well. Why doesn't he join XDA honor 6 forum? I think it must be blocked by China's Great Wall which is the firewall created by China government. I think so...

Huawei Mate 7 doesn't recognize internal storage

Hi! I have the chinese edition mate 7 (MT7-TL10) and it was running the marshmallow android update 6.0 (the official chinese ROM), but then i tried to flash the stock firmware and the phone got bricked, so i had to search for an android 6.0 rom, and i only found it on the international version. When i flashed it, the chinese apps were gone, but then i opened the file manager and the internal storage of the phone didn't show the 32 GB it has, but it showed 3.52 GB instead. Does anybody have the UPDATE.APP file I need so I can fix this problem?

Huawei T5 2GB RAM 16GB - factory rom to get more storage ?

Hi, I´m owning an Huawei Mediapad T5 with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage capactiy. It´s running on 8.0.0.231 C432.
Unfortunately the Pad is full of apps installed (6.5GB) and with abt. 7GB of firmware I only have 2.5GB left for apps. I´m not able to delete more apps because it tells me these are not deletable.
I wonder if I can install from Huawei the FullOTA firmware which - seems to me - to have abt. 2GB file size only. Does that mean I will have abt. 14 GB space left after installation of thes FullOTA firmware? Or will all the apps be installed atumatically afterwards like Google, Microstof office tools etc:? I dont need much apps on it but I want to be free to install my own apps (some games etc.). Installation on SD Card downst work as all people know.
Or is there another way to keep the system relevant files low in terms of GB storage use?
Thank you!
Brgds
Twistaa
Hi there,
there isn't a solution to this problem. Maybe on rooted device, but as far I know, there is no way to get bootloader unlocking code for MediaPad T5.
There is actually paying 3rd-party service that gives you kirin659 bootloader's unlock code. BUT it requires opening device's backcover.
About Mediapad T5, 2GB ram, 16GB ; It's a pain even when rooted.
About OP, you're just better to use an OTA-MF and not FullOTA-MF.
If FullOTA-MF does not install cause space missing, it won't erase the downloaded FULLOTA-MF (located in superuser folder /data/update/)...
Which would force you to do a factory reset to gain back storage.

Many thanks for first replies.
I´ve wiped the cache and reset to factory settings by using the recovery mode (so called hard reset) as per Huawei customer support. After reset of the tablet now I have (all figures abt.):
Firmware:6,5GB
Apps: 1GB
Other: 1,5GB
...
totalling to abt. 9,5GB internal storage used after factory reset. This leaves abt. 6.5GB internal storage left. Not very big but 4 GB more than before.... strange...
How about this unlocking of the bootloader? Even if I have unlocked it what would I be able to do with? As I heard theres no custom fw available?
Thanks
