I run a Micromax Canvas Tab P650. I committed an error.
I edited the build.prop file and changed the whole of that to that of Nexus 5. Now, when I rebooted, my GUI became very strange and apps stopped to work. Somehow, I re-edited my build.prop file and pasted the original content. Now, when I reboot, Nothing appears but Canvas Tab(the boot screen).
I do not have any nandroid backup.
I do not have CWM OR TWRP.
Please help
Error while flashing stock rom
It showed me this message. Kindly do help
Thanks
Hi,
Changing or flashing anything not made for your exact device make and model number usually causes very bad issues, sometimes bricked devices even. Not a good thing to do.
Here's a thread with links to your firmware, make sure to get the correct one...

If it won't work, your device may have other more serious issues, and you can ask for help here,

I got a Lenovo S850 from China and it came rooted from factory. I deleted apps I shouldnt and it booted up with constant security warning. I download what I thought was the correct rom and it did not install but phone would not come on. I found a rest of world rom to install that I thought was correct but after install imei's were missing and it had nvram warning in wifi. I have fixed that issue permanently but still with any sim card it says no service and a manual search fails.
Not sure if the first rom made a mess of the partitions etc but I have no idea why etc.
Just wondering if there was an expert that could connect to my pc via team viewer and take a look at it as I can connect it via adb but no idea what else to do. I think partitions are messed as in custom recovery it will not mount anything and had to adb sideload root.zip.
I will return it under warranty if I cant sort it though they may refuse to fix if they see it has a differnt rom on etc,
Anyone help?
Thanks
Simon.
Hi,
I can't find anything for your device on XDA, so you would need to ask here and hopefully someone can help. Otherwise I suggest you contact the manufacturer for original firmware and Flashing instructions...

Thanks I will ask there.
Recently accidently deleted my boot.img because I wanted to change the boot animation. Ended up being the biggest mistake I made. I decided to try and recover the file i deleted by flashing another boot.img, but i soon realised that the boot.img i flashed wasn't compatible with the device which caused my phone to bootloop. I know that if i want a solution to this issue, I'd have to install a new rom which is compatible with my phone but i'm having trouble looking for the update.zip for my phone. Is it possible that someone could upload the update.zip for N920e so i can fix this issue?
Hi.
Unfortunately, flashing a boot.img of another device probably sealed the fate of your phone. However, you can ask around in the Android Q and A section over here:

Hello,
first of all, i have to say i am googling araound and found nothing, exept how i use a scatterfile etc.
My problem:
After flashing a custom cwm with spflashtools to my jiayu g2f, i got the nvram warning under wifi.
This warning comes, because wifi MAC is random and IMEI is lost.
This is reproducable.
So my question is:
All tutorials said, flashing a custom cwm with spflash is not a problem, just select modem db file and scatter, select only the recovery and change the file to the custom one. I got the custom one from needrom. It works, when flashing via mtk droid, but when flashing with spflash, i get the nvram error.
I recognize, that the size of the file is another than the original size in the official rom. Isnt there a need of editing the scatterfile to fit it to the new size or is the recovery area on the phone big enough?
Thanks for reading,
Nine

Hey, thanks for answering. I only add the device name to be more specific. But in my opinion it is a mtk scatter file question in general.
Is the recovery partition excatly the size of the recovery.img. So, when i want to flash a greater recovery, i have to edit the scatter file?
Again, ask in the section I have linked. ?

Hi, i bricked my Xcover 2 gt-s7710l by flashing some random modem for S3 mini, now i debricked it by flashing gt-s7710 full service rom and doing nand erase all option in odin, but the gt-s7710 and gt-s7710l aren't quite similar, so i have a problem with internal storage now (it shows 0.00 mb and i 'm stuck in factory mode), so what i want is someone with a healthy S7710L to make a full back up with efs professional (you don't have to back-up your /efs or /system or /data or anything included inside stock roms like modems, just the partitions that make the phone work and that are not included in normal roms), and upload it to a safe place where i could download it (preferrably to google drive). I will give 10 usd to the person able to give me the files to make my phone work again or to give me a solution to my problem, so yeah, my question would be, where is the right place to post that kind of request on this forum, since there is no official Xcover 2 subforum?
Hi,
I can find nothing relevant on XDA for your device and issue, so asking here would be best...

I would suggest trying sammobile website for your exact firmware and flashing with Odin. If it's not there, hopefully someone can help when you post in the section above.
Good luck!

Hi guys! I accidentally bricked my phone when changing the font style. If I remember it correctly, I may have changed the path file where-in the changes will be applied for the font style, and after I rebooted the phone it is just stuck on the startup screen.
I already tried factory resetting the phone, but I dont have CWM or even TWRP recovery if there is for this kind of phone.
I can only access recovery mode but haven't tried the factory mode yet. Will try to install CWM later.
Is there any chance that it may work again if I flash a ROM even though I am still using the original ROM?
Any other methods that I can try?
Thanks!
Hi,
You could try a rom, but you'd need a custom recovery for that, usually. Or flash the factory firmware again. I can't find anything relevant on XDA for factory files tho. So you can ask here, or contact the manufacturer...
