Oneplus One Softbrick (Blackscreen) - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
i tried to flash a custom boot logo (.bin file) using adb. On 4.4 that worked perfectly, now i did the same thing on CM12. --> cant boot to recovery, bootloader just a blackscreen. It doesnt even show up in the device manager. The only thing my phone does is vibratong when doing a force reboot but thats ALL. Man EVERYTHING worked so freaking fine with temasek 5.0. Any ideas. :crying:
Thanks!

Hey,
I think there is a solution in the Bootlogo thread... Have you tried that?

[Q] LG Optimus 3D Stuck On LG Screen...

Hello there!I have an LG P920 Optimus 3D and im having a problem...I was downloading some games from a market and my device starts to download a lot of appz that i didnt choose so i try to remove the battery and then my device is like dead...When i try to open the device starts and when it goes to the LG boot screen stuck there...Any suggestions what can i do to restore or to flash another rom?:/
Thanks in advance John!
Recovery If you have installed, you can do whatever you want, the best is certainly a restore, or install a rom, but if you can not.
You just have, download LG update, install the drivers and Update Software and clip emergency and recovery mode.
And reinstall the original software.
also had that problem. the emergency recovery did it for me, you wont lose any data.
I have the same problem.I yesterday installed cm7 which also stuck on cm screen.THen I restored v21a but is gets stuck on lg screen...
Plz someone help,Lg software update doesn't work
(can enter cwm)
Try wipe all and reinstall firmware.

It didnt back up files or do anything so after 15 mins pulled battery and now all I get is the LG screen. I was running Cyanogen mod 7 and had a current backup as well. I cant get the phone into clockwork mod recovery so I dont know what to do. Any help is appreciated, thanks! I dont really care if I lose my stuff or not I can do it over I just need my phone
Enter in emergency mod, flash stock rom([kdz]froyo-v10 or gb-v20), root, install recovery, flash/restore backup. We have one thread explaining those stuffs somewere...

Doesn't boot into TWRP after flash

Hey Guy,
I flashed the XtreStoLite Bootloader and Modem for 5.1.1.
After that I flashed the new TWRP with Odin, it passed so there shouldn't be any errors.
I tried to boot into the recovery after I turned off the phone with volume + / power / home button. At first there was only a picture of an android but now it doesn't do anything when I try to press the buttons.
The Bootloader shows that the knox is already tripped so it's w/e.
Tried to check for root in Android terminal but apparently it doesn't recognise the command.
Any ideas how to proceed, so I can finally boot into twrp?

redownload twrp, check md5 and flash twrp again would be what I would do.
Flashed several times after redownload, can't get into the twrp. Hash is correct, how fast do I have to be with the + button for getting into it, when my phone reboots?

Did you flash this file?
Once it is flashed with ODIN and the screen turns off for reboot, already hold the three buttons.

That's the point:
you have to be very quick .
That's the reason most people can't get this to run; you have to be fast enough to stop the phone from rebooting all by itself.
I'm sure you don't need to reflash, give it another try.
Flashing the XtreStoLite ROM should be done via TWRP, also, just copy the file to your phone`s root folder using ODIN
and use TWRPs "install" feature; voila.
Have fun!

Ye that's how I used to flash ROMs on my Hox. Just couldn't get the twrp to work.
Edit. Got into recovery, there's no twrp on the Phone.
Only "android system recovery".

Put it in d/l mode, connect to your PC and flash TWRP again with Odin.
I had some issues when using a slightly older version, make sure Odin, TWRP and your Samsung USB drivers are on they're latest version.

[ROOT] Unable to update SuperSU binary

Hi all, this is my first post to this forum, so forgive me if I make any mistakes
I installed the latest Chainfire SuperSU (v 2.46), and flashed it with TWRP. The flashing was successful, but when I opened up SuperSU there was a popup that said "The SU binary needs to be updated. Continue?".
This is where the problem comes in. There are 2 options to update the binary, normal and TWRP/CWM. At first I tried TWRP, and to my understanding, the phone is supposed to automatically boot into recovery and install the binary update, but nothing happens. The popup just closes and that's it. SuperSU didn't even close. After rebooting, I tried the "normal" option, and after a while, it says "Installation failed! Please reboot and tried again." No mater how many times I reboot, the problem persists.
I have already tried reflashing the SuperSU zip and rebooted many times, but nothing seems to work. I'm at my wits end. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Anyone?
I've also tried reflashing TWRP, in case the problem was with the recovery. No luck there either. I'm also unable to use the "Full unroot" or any other related uninstallation/reinstallation of SuperSU. After the "Uninstalling..." message, nothing happens, and when i reboot my phone, SuperSU is still there.

Thank you for your reply, but damn, I really don't want to drop $25 for a license... Are there no other alternatives to fix my problem?

Yes, I was looking at that, I can get the stock firmware, which is the RUU (?) from here right? http://forum.xda-developers.com/one-e8/help/htc-one-e8-mid-cid-ruu-ota-twrp-t2903210
But does this work on S-On?
@nkk71
Currently following your instructions for decrypting the RUU, but may I know where I can obtain the hboot img file?

we (@Captain_Throwback and myself) are currently working on a Universal HTC Decrypt Tool, until we get that done, you only have three choices
1- decrypt it yourself, i think i've left more than enough information in @joeykrim's thread
2- wait till we finish the tool
3- if you're really desperate, give me links (the phone forum, and the ruu in question), and i'll take a look (sorry but I don't feel like going through forums & threads, about a device I havent even heard of)
Are there any updates on the Universal HTC Decrypt Tool?

Flashing 5.3

Hey guys what's the best way to flash the new update? I tried flashfire but it won't unencrypt the OTA.

Flashfire does not seem to work right without SuperSu, at least I had the same experience as you. I flashed back the stock recovery and let the normal updater do it's jobs.
It doesn't seem to care that a custom Kernel and magisk is installed, worked perfectly.

How do I flash the stock recovery mate?

I find it easy to flash the full update through TWRP.
Sent from my SHIELD Tablet using XDA Free mobile app
I flashed successfully using TWRP as well, and everything is working fine.
Just downloaded the version posted here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=74693612&postcount=6
Then booted to TWRP, flashed the file, then flashed Magisk (or SuperSU if you prefer) to root. Root before rebooting after the update, otherwise TWRP may be replaced with stock recovery.
I did backup using Titanium, before updating. Your data should remain intact. But it's good to backup beforehand, just in case.
You do not need to download images from the site. Simply allow your tablet to download the update. Once downloaded, it is located in /system/data/data/com. nvidia. ota/app_download - move it to /system/sdcard/Download, run the tablet in recovery and flash the downloaded zip file.
