I have the emulators and games install onto amazon fire tv. Xbox 360 controller connected and can play the games but I don't know how to map the controller to play the games. Can you someone help? thank you

So I'm sure this question has been asked and answered but I'd like to use a PS3 controller (or possibly another Bluetooth controller) on my Shield but I'm not sure how. I wanna be able to sit on the couch and play emulators without looking at one screen in my face and be able to play games multiplayer. Help would me much appreciated. I'm semi-new to Android. Before owning the shield I had a phone for a bit last year but couldn't get a controller to work on that either.
I also would like to try that.
with ipega or moga controller.
Don't know about the PS3 controller, but I use the OnLive BY controller and use the HDMI port on SHIELD to my TV...

Yes, works great.
You can use also a Xbox controller with a USB receiver.
If you want to use the PS3 controller you have to root your shield and use the famous sixaxis app from google play. To use the Xbox controller you don't need to root, because you're actually connecting the receiver to the USB in the shield.
Now that I tried both I prefer PS3 controller, because involves less cables and with the sixaxis app you can map buttons and change a lot of things.

Hey guys, I have a quick question. The tablet is supposed to connect to up to four controllers. I bought two to play 2-players games from the GRID. I tried Street Fighter Tekken but the tablet sees both controllers as one. They both control player 1 only and there is no player 2 at all.
Does anyone know if there is a fix for that or perhaps something that I can do?
Also, are there any good games whether Android or GRID that I can play with two controllers?
Any answer would be much appreciated, thanks...

anyone any suggestions for multiplayer games for 2 controllers? Even some emulators will do... Got a 2nd controller for Xmas and I am having hard time finding any games to play at all

Have you tried BombSquad (Android)?
From what I've read in the nvidia forums, the multi-controller support only works with Android native games (i.e. no Gamestream or Grid support).

Trine 2 that comes with the tablet support multiple controls. Beach buggy racing works great for local multiplayer. Supports up to 4 players. You need an in-game purchase to enable that though but it is totally worth it.
There should be a few more native Android games that support local multiplayer such as Gun Slugs by Orange Pixel (have not tried it yet)...
Most emulators support multiple controls as well. Such as Mupen64 Plus AE (the only one I have tried so far).
Guerilla Bob THD should also work according to game description on Google Play.

I dont own the Nvidia Shield yet Coming soon Jan 6th but with my Sony Z2 tablet I bluetooth connected one PS4 controller and the second controller i used a otg cable with and worked on PSX emulator

I am trying to connect a xbox controller to play some games I have a MXIII-G/+ and it seems there are very very few games that work most of them will download and install the once in the game its very hard to navigate, does anyone know where I can find some games to play this way or is there a program out there that will help me use the controller in any game? Ok so I have a PS4 and a Xbox 360 Controller. Also a OTG cable. I can use both controllers successfully but I need help mapping my right joystick. I'm trying to play FPS games like Pixel Gun 3D, Shadow Gun and Block Strike but the right joystick is giving me trouble. I can't get it to work properly. I've tried Trikore Game mapper app and Sixaxis App. Any advice or Controller mapping apps that are better?
