Hi,
I see you've posted in your device section previously, so that would be where to ask about this as well.

not really an answer
I am running the same HTC version as you and used unrEVOked3. I would like to hear why you didn't want to root that way again. I just recently rooted my friends phone using unrEVOked3 too. email me at bobbyoftulsa @ yahoo.com so as not to crowd the thread. I haven't had a problem yet.. just want the opinion so I might start over.
Pls find below the question posted earlier, I couldn't get any response yet... Can anyone pls confirm at least if it is possible to upgrade from Android 2.2 to 2.3?
===========================
I recently purchased a HTC T-Mobile G2 (unlocked world-wide) phone and am using it in India. It has the Android OS 2.2. I'd like to upgrade this OS to Android 2.3. Is it possible?
I'm not sure if this question is already posted by someone, but I couldn't find one yet...
Can someone help? Also, please let me know if I can get the OS with HTC sense...
I'm fairly new to this and I wouldn't do anything to my phone unless I get a confirmed and validated response for my question with links to upgrade/root/whatever.... Thanks for your help and guidance.

Dear all..
I have just rooted my phone. . Its now 2.3.3 , I just wanna ask you can the rooted phone get official update? If not how can I get ICS, or updates in general .
Thanks a lot

Rooting your phone shouldn't stop it from getting official updates. If you've flashed a non-official rom it might affect things but that seems to depend on the specifics.
My recently flashed Samsung tablet is no longer recognised by the official PC suite, but my recently flashed SE phone is.
Without having a HTC phone myself I can't say for sure either way. If you have a PC suite, try seeing if it acknowledges the phone. If it does, you probably should be fine.
A friend put something called twrp on my phone so i could use tmobile network on a att htc one m8. This process disabled my wifi so i restored the phone to factory setting and wifi is still greyed out. I remember him saying he could get s-on but not s-off. I don't even know what that means. However, everything else on my phone works. I wanted to put lollipop drop or some other program on the phone but im afraid to do it
