How to extract encrypted rar files without knowing the password. - General Questions and Answers

Well, I downloaded assassins creed game cache of size 105.03MB. Now when I try to extract it using ".zip" extension it shows BAD FILE and if I rename it to "rar" extension it becomes archivable and there are 2 folders inside ... Whwn i extract that it extracts the first folder easily but when it comes to second it shows " rar encrupted exception" or asks for password which hasn't been provided by the Game Provider
......
Now I wonder if there's any way to extract it

Ask for the password..

if you buy the game on the Play store you won't have this problem.
We don't support pirated games or password cracking.

How to kill WM6 system programs

For personal reasons, I want to kill solitaire in my WM6 phone. Not just the shortcut, I want it removed from the Windows directory! Not to save money but to keep me from playing it !
It is a protected system file on board the phone - how do I permantly kill it?
I will just play one game of solitaire, then check if there is an answer - doh!!!
make a rom from scratch which dont include the exe files
I want to avoid making a ROM like that, but I guess that is the only way? I did not know this file was part of the ROM - Read Only Memory - so I have to live with it then ... any other way to kill it without damaging the unit?
try this.
install resco explorer.
look in the /windows folder and find out the name of the solitare executable. (most likely solitare.exe)
make a empty text file on your comp. , rename it to the the file you want to del. (from newfile.txt to solitare.exe---->the icon should change to that of an executable file)
copy this file onto your sd card and with resco explorer copy this file into the windows directory...it should ask you permission to overwrite.
reboot
Using Total Commander, go to folder \windows\start menu\programs\games\ and remove (delete) the lnk file related to Solitaire. It will not delete the executable but will make it invisible. Out of sight is out of mind!
The real answer
You need to get hold of self_control_v1.exe but I can't remember where I got it from. It's the same program that stops me eating too much.
LOL

Great minds think alike.
This won't delete the file, but it will mask it with another file. (The file is still in the ROM.)

it should actually delete the file (you are over writing it with another file of the same name)
Cool, it worked!
Or, at least I am not smart enough to find and run Solitare.exe any more ...
Mission complete!
Trial version of Resco did it, but it will run out in 7 days. Wonder if it is worth to keep it, now that I HAVE killed Solitare.exe?

.7z files are a different format of ZIP files; you need 7-zip to open them. It's free.

Help with FPse?

I don't get any ECM file. I know my emulator and BIOS work 'cause I've already played RE3 without any problem, though I can't remember how I got the ISO file from 7Zip. Now I downloaded MGS, and when I unzip the .7z I get everything in parts. These include an image file, .ccd, .cue and .sub for each of the disc of the game. What do from there?
PS: I extract the files using both Winrar and 7zip, no result
You should rip your own CDs, it's illegal to download PS1 games from the internet.
Call the FBI then.

Creating obb file

Hi I am new here.
I have extracted obb data of GTA vice city and modified sounds and radio stations. But after creating obb using JOBB tool, Winrar archiver cannot open it. And also the game not recognising the data file after that. Please help to make it work.
Dont make the obb using jobb tool, just archive it once again and then rename it to. Obb

How to dump files from a game.

Hello, i'm trying to extract some assets from a game called Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage.
I have tried to get the apk file and put it into an asset extractor but it doesn't contain most of the stuff.
The game installs some files on launch, so i suspected there would be an .obb file, but the game doesn't store any data under the android folder.
Google Play Store also seems to install additional files for the games on install, so that may also contain what i need, but i don't know how to get it.
I have tried to shell into my phone using adb, in an attempt to uncover some files, but since my phone (A32) is not rooted, i couldn't find anything related to the game.
I am fairly new to the "extracting files from a game" kind of thing. I used AssetStudioGUI in order to get my current files. The game uses Unity as it's engine and as far as my application shows, it's version 2019.4.15f1.
Any suggestions is appreciated.

Install the game from Playstore, let it install the additional files then find and extract those files. The app should be in data/data and your game app data and .obb should be in Android folder. Also, some parts of games are not installed on the device and some parts of game data are not stored on the device, they are in the server for the game, you can't access or modify those parts.
What are you trying to extract from the game?

I want to extract a few asset and sound files. Like i said i couldn't find the .obb files anywhere in the Android file. The game downloads a big content pack by itself on launch. They are stored in the phone, since it would be kind of dumb to download a few gb's of files and then using the server files.

You can try using adb to create a adb backup of your user apps and user data/app data, then extract the contents of the backup file that adb creates. It doesn't require root as long as you aren't trying to extract system apps or system data. When you extract the data from the adb backup file, look in the data/data/ partition to find your user apps, your game apk and its installed data should be in there, then look in Android folder to find the app data for that app
Look for a guide on how to do a adb backup, the command to create the backup has specific optional switches to include or ignore the data of your choice. In your case, you want to use the adb backup command with the specific swiches to backup user apps and their app data but ignore everything else.
