Just wondering how do i lower my bootsound its just really too loud...
Find the audio file on your phone (/data/local for me) open in a free audio editor tool (on a computer would be better) and lover the volume
Probably there is an other way, but I only used this one.
Here's my altered file for srs_processing1.cfg to remove the excessive SRS processing for the HD+ (maybe HD but I don't have the device).
For Stock ROM, rooted, su.
USE AT YOUR OWN AND THE TABLET'S RISK!
The file is located in /data/system
Permissions are or should be made: rw-r--r--
Do not try to change the file in /system/etc or your tablet will reboot to recovery. Make a backup!
Most of the changes are in "BLOCK: (srs_mus_ext) WOWHD - Music-External"
The changes are for the headphone out. The internal speaker still plays loudly and was unchanged. The SRS 3D, Focus, Limiting has been disabled while the bass has been toned down a bit and affects lower bass frequencies.
One can make as many changes to the file as one likes in an editor, just verify the permissions before exiting and a reboot is required for the changes to take effect.
Enjoy!

SRS is this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sound_Retrieval_System
It is now owned by DTS.
I do not like the "3D" enhanced stereo image it can produce for headphones. It messes around with EQ and phase. Actually, much of SRS is detrimental to the original stereo image.

I hate processing too. Thanks this'll be one of the first things on my HD+, if CM10.1 isn't anyway.
CM10.1 doesn't use any of the SRS processing so no need for the file. The file is intended for those who remain with rooted stock. I'll see if I can change the thread title.
Hi guys.
I flashed the custom rote X-Note 15 and suprisingly I still can't disable the camera shutter sound.
I tried many ways :
- app Galaxy Note 2 hidden features
- app silence stream something
- app camera mute
I also tried to remove the ogg files from /system/media/audio/ui/ , camera_click.ogg and camera_click_short.ogg, renamed them to .bak.
Camera still makes sound ...
I replace the orignal ogg files by copies of camera_empty.ogg ... in vain. Still the ****in sound.
I don't get where the sound comes from. I though maybe it was in RAM , so I restarted the phone, still the sound was there.
Now I found the apk SamsungCamera2Guy.apk, which contains the sound. But coudl it be possible that the application takes the sound file from the apk each time ?
If so, I would like to edit the apk and remove the file directly. I tried with a few tools but it failed so far.
Any hint how to remove once and for all the sound ?
Disclaimer: Any shared files in this thread were not created by me. I do not own any of these files and i will not help you if a profiles loudness made you deaf, burned down your earphones, killed your loudspeakers or started a nuclear war.
This Thread was created for only one reason:
To share profiles and irs files for Arise Sound Systems http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3379709

Here is my Zombie Series that I believe i've shared on all of guitardedhero's threads? I use on both my OnePlus X and my S3. These are mainly tweaked for speaker use as I do not use headphones. I've used these through the whole uprising of A.R.I.S.E. as well as guitardedhero's Viper packages. The one I mostly use is ZombieSin. Some also like Zombiefied.

I have been using this since posted in the Arise thread, and I love this profile, I am actually using it with sonophilos modified tweak.prop and xplay3 preset and it sounds amazing!
1. Oneplus 3
2. V-Moda Crossfade lpĀ²
3. Deep Bass+Clarity
4. Latest
V1: (The zip includes the profile folder and the irs file)
This profile is specifically tuned for my headphones for Deep and strong bass while maintaining the clarity in music. Recommended for house, electronic music, trance, trap, dubstep.
Disable the EQ if there is too much treble for you or your headphones although this will take away most of the clarity.
Im courious to know if this works well for other headphones too. Good luck!
Edit: Disable convoler and enable Spectrum Extension at 0.5 if you listen to rock/metal.
V2:
Best experience with Oneplus 3 official stock/beta roms. Go to settings/audio and enable audio switch, set earphone type to general and dont use any of the preset equalizers.
It will work on all devices though but I dont guarantee the optimal sound quality.
Wow
Unbelievable and thank you?
Teeth shatteringly good.
BOOM !! Mother of God that gave me an erection. It made my rooted HTC Desire 510 sound better then my stock M9.
I updated my profiles and would like to share with you...

no, extract, then go in profiles folder and select the profile folders inside and move to Viper4Android, and paste inside profiles folder. Then open the extracted kernels folder and move all those to Viper4Android kernels folder.

No. Just extract the Profile zip and merge the /ViPER4Android folder into the directory where /ViPER4Android/Profile/Stock exists.

Try to select the profile twice. Some users have reported that the profile is not loaded the first time. That includes me. It is a known bug V4A.

Would there be a way to either:
Have my device recognize internal audio (e.g. a YouTube video playing) as if it was audio picked up by its microphone, maybe with some kind of dev settings?
I know GPS can be spoofed in the developer settings, so would it be possible to spoof the microphone input and divert it as internal audio so that the device could for example transcribe a video's audio into text with an app that picks up the audio as if it was coming from the microphone (e.g. Google Translate / Google Recorder)?
Most of the workarounds I've seen meant using the phone speakers to output the sound to then be picked back up by the microphone, which would be both inconvenient (e.g. in public transports or any place that has too much ambiant noise for this to work) and pretty ridiculous to transform digital to analog, output it to record it back in analog and transform it back into digital.
It simply doesn't make a lot of sense to me looking at it this way.
Hence why I would be interested to know if there's a way to make this work either through something available in accessibility settings/developer mode/ or any kind of mod that requires root.

A lot of android devices have to use a PC/Laptop to capture internal audio, these devices can not capture the internal audio themselves, they weren't built with the capability, it has to be done externally. It depends on your specific device model number and your android version. Some devices can capture internal audio from within the device itself using a feature that is built-in. If it is possible to capture internal audio from within the device itself, a Google search for:
"Capture internal audio (your model number&android version)"
Should render some kind of useable results.

I know that my device can capture internal audio with the integrated Screen Recorder app at least.
Spoiler: Specs
Device: OnePlus 5T
ROM: OOS 10.0.1
Android 10
Magisk 24.3
But what I'm searching for is a way to use that internal audio capability of my device to act as if it was a microphone stream since most of the apps that I found to either transcribe or recognize audio (e.g. Google Translate / Google Recorder or Shazam) don't have a setting to choose which input stream they "listen" to.
interesting..
