Does anybody know a place I could either download a 3D printable case for the edge or a 3D model of the edge so I can make my own case?

Just checked but no results , I guess I will have to model my own by hand hope I dont screw up (atleast I have five reels of plastic )
Metal Case
Even I too want to 3d print a metal case for my Oppo One Plus X phone. In fact, I am eager to 3d print it myself. I know that for the case to be printed, I want to use the concepts of 3d metal printing, but short of knowledge regarding the type of printer to be purchased. If anybody could suggest me regarding it?

Title says all, is there a metal backplate cover for the SGS? Couldn't find one on the usual market sites in the Netherlands.
Nope , there's no metallic backcover for the I9000 , atleast from the manufacturer , since samsung keeps things plastic to reduce weight
But i however use an extra metallic cover on top of the plastic back , to make it look nice and glossy

Apart from the late reply , am also sorry to tell you that these covers that i bought aren't available online , just bought from some mobile dealer in my local area a long time back , not sure if it is still available
I will put their pictures so you will knoe what to look for , and yes even plain solid colours were available.
Im also looking for a back cover but in aluminium . I have spoken to a guy who can help me make one but he needs a 3D drawing of the back cover. I have email samsung regarding sketch but i dont think the will reply. I started this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1496721

Good call. I almost just bought it. lol. Thought 6 bucks was too cheap.

i have it as well (was bundled), Don't like it on the phone makes it feel cheap.
Right. I just needed something on mine until I found one I liked. This was the only one available in a retail store that didn't have to be ordered.

Got the case now.
For me it is fantastic.. The attention to detail on the cutouts is great. They really looked at the phone lines and respected them
I can understand some might feel it makes the phone feel less premium, but for me it is the opposite. The slightly granular texture works great (feels secure) and I like the tint the black semi transparent gives my pink phone
This one I think will be my main case now
(Just need to sorry out the best screen protector option now

The FrostCover does work in the DK32 cradle without mods.
When using the 32B tray insert.
It is a tight fit (not just a 'drop it in',. you need a little bit of a wiggle).. but no mods needed

I saw that too. Search ebay for Dot View Case and you'll find the same case sold by sellers who don't offer such bull**** shipping prices.

It works with lollipop
I suggest not to buy the case. First it works with the proximity sensor not the magnetic one. So anytime you reach for top of the screen there is a chance that proximity sensor triggers lock screen.
Second, software design is so bad. It doesn't generate good looking effect like HTC cases. Actually it is hard to guess what's displaying in the screen you just should guess. I bought one and Jay use it for a day.

It worths to try for 5$. If you don't like, you uninstall software and use case as usual.

I just picked one up. I am afraid to install the software because its some server based in China. The software should be similar to all, no? ยน
The one that I have is very similar to the ones linked here. The only difference is that the HOME key is oval vs rectangular. There is also a circle to the left of the home key when the case is closed. I do not know if that is a magnet or if that is simply there for design.
I didn't know that case was a thing, haha. I have the official LED case and it runs fine lollipop. Try this. Make sure "led indicator" or whatever they call it is on in display and then reboot. I was having certain things not show up and now asides from the fact that weather has never worked on my locks creep I'm golden.
Guys I bought this case, working decent enough, but I expected more. Cost me 10 bucks, lollipop 910t user here

I've been waiting on my SE to arrive, and it finally did today. I've been sitting on a case and glass protector for a couple weeks now. Just wanted to link this case and share a few pictures of it installed on my phone.
VERY minimalist case. If you're the type to drop their phone a lot, look elsewhere. I'm not, so it's exactly what I was looking for. I had a very similar case for my LG G Pro back in the day.
It's a got a soft sandpaper-y feel to it, so it adds a good bit of grip to the phone without adding nearly any bulk.

No, it's the case. The ring/kickstand is a self adhesive addition. You don't need to use it.
