Hi guys, forgot my pattern password on xperia z3 D6603, tried to login with google account but it says - wrong id or password. My phone is not rooted, USB debugging off. I tried to run into Recovery mode( with volume down/up and power buttons - phone just turns on normally. Sony PC Companion doesn't work either. Any solutions for this?!
putting the phone into recovery mode via this method should work, it's odd it isn't for you:
>1. Turn off your Xperia Z3: press power key and select "power off" or press and hold power key for a few moments.
>2. Power on your device and when the LED notification lights turn on press several times Volume Up or Volume down buttons.
>3. At the end, your Xperia Z3 will be rebooted into recovery mode.
give it another try?
Edit: Derp actually tried it on mine and it doesn't work for me either. Currently pressing random buttons while starting it, maybe trial and error will yield results.

Think I got it:
>Power device off
>Press and hold only the down volume key
>press and hold the power button until the phone vibrates; release power button but continue to hold volume down key.
seems to work consistently on my Z3 (Tmobile variant though I doubt it would make a difference)

The code is not working on this model (Z3 D6603), I dont think that I can use flashtool since it does not reconise my phone. It says 'Device connected with USB debugging off'.

hi everybody
after getting marshmallow I had encountered big problem with proximity sensor
so I decided to get back to lollipop
unfortunately I forgot to enable USB debugging mode and got into boot loop and Sony logo just out there
I tried every possible way on the internet
rooting , flashing without system.sin , flashing recovery , fast boot options
and finally I found one and problem is solved
1 - getting an older flash tool (like 0.9.18.5 worked for me )
2 - changing tft file and get another firmware
hope this help anyone and happy this problem had gone .
thanks xda members :fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::good:

Hi. My device is hardbricked. I see no lights while charging. Flashtool doesn't see my device.how can i fix this?
Edit:Easily fixed it.I plugged my device into the computer.I entered platform-tools and flashed boot.img.I saw "waiting for device" And i pressed volume up and power buttons. Suddenly boot flashed and i recovered my phone
You are very unlikely to have hard bricked it unless you have unlocked the boot and flashed something wrong.
If you did this please help us help you by telling us what you did just before this happened.
Also, just leave the phone on charge (Wall charger) for 24 hours and then see what happens.
In the mean time read this
solution for no LEDs no response no fastboot devices.
Take two rubberbands one to hold down the power button and one to hold down the volume up button on Xperia Z3 dual. I spent a lot of time figuring this out. Alter a few minutes the phone just booted up from the dead. It worked for me 3 times. Now if someone can tell me how to fix the fastboot remote command not allowed error I'll be happy.

Hello
I had the same problem with REMOTE COMMAND NOT ALLOWED till i managed to solve it.
1st thing you need to clean that ANDROID folder you made on C: drive.Install all from the begining including flashtool.Boot windows to install unsigned drivers. In the flash tool folder youll find the driver downloader, just enable usb debugging and choose Mass Storage not MTP .; You have 4 options usb debug on/off and usb connectivity MTP or Mas Storage ;with every version selected connect and disconnect from pc with flashtool running.
When you use Fastboot start the flashtool and close it if it cant kill ADB (that assuming you succeeded in installing drivers).
Good Luck

Try a different driver package from another download source and use another usb on your pc.
Maybe it works. If your device can enter flash mode it definitely can be recovered.

The green led indicates flash mode so the problem is probably on your PC not detecting it properly. Does it show up in the system manager of windows if you plug it in at all? (Like a new device/android with a yellow triangle)
You could also try to fastboot a recovery and flashing a ROM from there. Not sure if it works but that's what I would try.
i m not even able to fastboot a recovery ...tried twrp and cwm both of them...
Me too
in my phone after charging 24h, only the red LED blinks, this is not normal any suggestions?
--------------edit
ok another week and still nothing
maybe I'll describe the problem:
I wanted to upload clean soft 5.1.1 and flash it
after the phone turned off it's start in recovery i used zip with SU and the phone turned off with no respond i try too reset (vol- + vol+ + power) but no reaction
there were no three vib
so I found that you have to reset the button under the sd flip
after this treatment you already know the charging of 3 days and only the red LED blinks
So any suggestions??

I‘m having the same problem, I can’t open my Xperia Z3. I tried with holding on/off button, holding volume up and on/off button, holding volume down and on/off button. When I connect it to PC, nothings happen. No vibrates, no led on, no screen on. What should I do?

Like you I have a Xperia Z3 mines the 6633 variant.. Signs were showing it to be hard bricked, for example:
No led charge indication!
No power led!
No fastboot leds!
No USB detection sound when plugging into windows.
Literally a Z3 that was essentially a glass brick I bought off ebay for £6.50 GBP for spares/repair.
Since I had a bricked device, I had nothing to loose.
I applied heat to the rear glass with a hair drier & removed the panel, I removed the battery ribbon cable & plugged in via USB only to find the phone would show LEDs so put it on charge.
The Z3 now goes into flash mode, so then re-flashed a stock ROM from flashtool. I did a apps log & user data wipe, cust reset & fota reset.
To date I have no idea why the phone would not take a charge before or even detect via USB, though Id say give this method a go, you may be surprised!!
Good luck
i am trying to flash TWRP - 2.8.7.0 recovery to my xperia m2 . i am successful and i can install custom ROM from TWRP recovery mode but flashmode( volume down key + power key) is not working any more, fastboot mode (volume up key + power key) is working correctly. please help me i want to install factory ROM that is provided by sony but i am stuck because of unable to turn on flashmode.
thank you
Just an idea but try this, open the sim card tray and use a pin to press the red button and after that wait for 1 minute at least and first hold the volume button down and then while holding it, hold the power button too for 5~ seconds iirc. Or wait upto a minute and see if it triggers.
Delete my post pls
Isn't that you need to hold volume - and connect to usb to get in flashmode?

already tried that, it will directly go to TWRP recovery menu by pressing volume down key and power button. By holding volume down key and connecting usb it will turn on flashmode but that did not happen any more.

yah but that option was not working after recovery flash and unable to turn on flashmode by pressing volume - key and connecting usb.
Does anyone know the solution to this? I'm stuck with a soft bricked xperia M2 D2303, bootloop and can't open recovery mode. Tried to connect to PC and run flashmode, but not working, I'm just getting a green blink, not the solid color for the LED.
It does run fastboot, but no flashboot. Any ideas?
PS: I have no idea what my IMEI is.

For the Flashmode, the green led has to blink one time. So that's normal.
And did you installed Flashmode drivers?
Greetings of the day,
Hello everyone, I'm having a oneplus one 64GB phone that is not getting start, everytime i connect it with the charger it goes into a bootloop. Yes the phone was rooted and I was using a custom ROM with the default kernel. The issue started when I tried to reset the phone to battery settings. I think I somehow messed the kernel and now it is stuck in bootloop. The problem is that I can't connect it to my computer or put it in debug mode as it just restarts again. Any idea how to actually boot it so I can install the kernel and ROM again?

No, My phone is not getting on but whenever i am connecting it with my charger the phones goes in the Bootloop, and when i am connecting it to My PC while pressing Volume Up + Power Button Pc shows that the Unrecognized devices has been connected.
And i think phone is Hard Bricked. I have tried ADB software and one plus 1 drivers manually but it didn't worked too. I have tried minimal ADB too but it also didn't work.
Kindly let me know about it.

I have tried both, but nothing happens with it, Volume UP + Power shows the unrecognizable device is connected and Volume Down + Power does nothing it continues with bootloop .
Have you got Developer Options enabled?
Goto About Phone & Tap Build Number until Developer Options is activated. Goto Developer Options> Advanced Restart & enable the switch.
Press power button->Restart->Recovery.
It will now boot into Recovery.
Also have you tried keeping hold of power button whilst it bootloops. Keep holding the power button until it powers off. Then press Volume Down & Power Button to power back up (you might see a slight flicker onscreen that means it should go into Recovery mode). Keep hold of these buttons until you gain Access to Recovery Mode.
This will allow you to Recover or flash a different ROM.
If you're having issues connecting to a computer (Windows) try downloading Windows Media Center for your version of Windows. This will install media drivers to recognize your phone.. If all went well you will get the pop up with A0001 (Codename of OnePlus One). From there you should be able to enter fastboot mode through ADB.
If this doesn't help you, I'm sure that someone else will untangle the puzzle to get your device in good working order buddy. Good Luck.

Hello, this is my first publication...
A few days ago I made the update of my terminal, from version 6.0.1 and I can not flash version 7 from flashtool, everything worked fine, after flashing the computer was up to version 7.1.1, after a few days observe Which at the time of downloading and connecting the computer started with constant restarts or bootloops, until you can turn it on, also the computer occasionally has problems with the speaker, plus flash failure does not turn on ...
All this happened after flashing it
I can not enter the flash mode, pressing the volume button -, the phone turns on the green light and turns off and on again and is not detected by the computer, I would greatly appreciate the help!
Please

- from the hard power off: VOL + and Off
I do it several times, and still nothing

It is restored by the sony configuration and neither does the equipment works normal except for the LED flash of the camera, and sometimes the problem of the mentioned speakers
In addition to proving in 3 different computers, with two different cables in addition, installing the drivers and everything, I do not know what else to do, when I connect the phone with fastboot is recognized, or through trasnferencia, there is no problem with that, only the flashmode .
I have the same problem with my XZ but found a workaround. When prompted to turn of your phone and plug it in flash mode reboot the phone instead. When the screen goes black hold the volume down, when the phone turns back on it will go into flash mode. Works for me every time.

Strange enough I reproduce this "flashing green-led" flashmode issue today, but it was the USB cable problem (type c -> type c).
The cable in question can access mtp mode and fastboot mode normally thou.
It is likely not the same issue like yours, but still very strange.

I have the same problem.
I've found that my phone does not enter flash mode at the first Led flash, so plug the cable while hoding volume up (fastboot mode), if the led just flashing blue then I hold volume down to get into flash mode. else if it connected in fastboot mode then i just unplug it and do again.
Thanks for the tip! Works well with my Xperia XZ + Lenovo T460 + Aukey USB cable combo.
Had a headache with phone not entering the flash mode. Flashtool said it's connected in recovery mode, usb debugging off. Perhaps sth to do with trying to update the TWRP to the latest version (3.2.2) via the PlayStore app and turning the recovery non-functional. I wanted to update to the latest FW before reflashing TWRP in fastboot mode.

Try volume up (+) & the power button.....
I already tried that too, doesn't work either...
In the good old days, you used to have to have a usb plugged in to access recovery (and at one point actually also be in a recovery programme on a pc, or use a hacked together usb jig to do it on the fly). I would be surprised if they have gone back to that, but might be worth a try?
Turn device off,
Ensure one end of your USB Cable is plugged into the PC / Laptop
Press Power + Volume up
While you press both Power and Volume up insert the USB Cable into the phone.
Keep pressed and you should enter into the recovery, You used to be able to do this without the USB Cable, but recent changes made you require to plug it into a device.
Unsure if you can do this using a normal wall plug, i have never tried it.

Hi All, - I had the same problem, it would just not go into recovery mode. however a slight twist i saw on a website says to do the following and it worked first time much to my suprise..
basically the phone has to be powered on to start the process..
1.HardReset.info: At first, connect the device with the computer by the USB Type C and push Volume Down + Power button to switch off your phone.
2.HardReset.info: Then press Volume Up and Power key for a short while.
3.HardReset.info: Let go of all buttons if you see the SAMSUNG logo
4.HardReset.info: Now use Volume keys to select Wipe cache partition and confirm with the Power button.
5.HardReset.info: In the next step go to Yes option.
6.HardReset.info: At last, choose Reboot system now by using the Power button.
good luck..

Hello.
That only works with the included USB Type - C cable. It doesn't work with a USB type A cable. Both ends should be Type C.
That's why it didn't work for me earlier. I tried numerous times using the old cable from my Galaxy Note 9.
