Guys, I bought a PS2/PC chinese gamepad. I have an HTC One S c2 with sense 6 based ROM (ViperS).
My problem is this, my gamepad is not recognized when I plugged in, I have to restart the phone to recognize the gamepad. When I try to play FIFA 15 UT, it can recognize my gamepad but when I try to play I just can move the players, I can't shoot, pass, sprint, etc.
To make that work I saw a tutorial that I had to use USB/BT Joystick Center but when I hit Search button and find the controller my System UI is stopped.
Any thoughts to make that work?

I tried the same with a wired xbox 360 controller. While it works perfectly on my nexus 7 2013 (flo), my One S (ville [s4]) can't see it. I'm currently on Maximus HD. I suppose some gamepad API is not supported by this rom. I used the same OTG cable in both cases.
Next week I'll flash Cyanogenmod 12 to give it a try (than get back to 11 m12 until they fix the major issues), maybe something will change.

I just purchased USB/BT Joystick Center 6 but it doesn't seem to be compatible with my transmormer inifnity.
It keeps saying no devices found, even though some users on this forum have confirmed it does work with the infinity. I have tried with stock ICS, stock JB and now with my current rom: CM10.
Is there anything special I need to do for the app to recognize my keyboard and usb mouse?
Thanks in advance.
Edit: I just plugged in my Logitech controller and that one does get recognized, but there's still no sign of my keyboard and mouse..
I have it and it runs fine with a wii mote. only thing is sometimes in games, some button stay stuck and wont unstick till I press the clock
I found this app to be usless since the 4.1 update with my nexus 7. I also went to the support forms for this app and found that the developer does not awnser questions anymore. so buyer beware.
I received my OTG cable in the mail today and wanted to start gaming the right way with my Logitech F310 gamepad but my phone didn't recognize it at all. I tested the controller with Dead Trigger but I got no response. The green "Mode" button comes on when pressed but that's it. I thought that my gamepad would work just fine with my OTG cable because my computer recognizes it as an Xbox 360 controller. Has anybody gotten one of these to work with their S4? Thanks in advance!

Firstly, not all games support gamepads, secondly if you have the 360 controller, i hear theyre better supported c:
and lastly, you can try getting an app that manages the controller and interfaces it with the app, maps it to the touch controls of its not supported for example, theres a few out there, havent tried any myself because i only have a ps3 controller and couldnt get it working with sixaxis :c

For anyone wondering, I was able to find a solution! I bought the USB/BT JoyCenter app and it recognized my F310 in XInput mode (the switch on the bottom). Using the app, I was able to map the buttons.
On a side note, my aftermarket Power A Playstation 3 controller works automatically with some games without any extra software.

Hey,
My experience has been very flakey with the f310 but I can confirm that it does work. In some games such as asphalt 8 you don't need the joycenter app. Just mess around with it.

i second this question
I've searched all the forums, as well as the web, and followed every bit of advice and / or instructions I could find on the issue, but no matter what I attempt to do I can't get any games to work with the xbox 360 controller. Anyone have any idea how to get this to work with the skyrocket via an OTC cable?
More Details:
When I first plugged it in, the device seemed to recognize the controller (the lights on the controller would start flashing, the phone would give a message saying that a usb device is connected - but no games (I used emulators as well as games that are supposed to specifically support playing with an xbox controller, like GTA 3) were able to recognize or use the controller. Since then I've downloaded and installed a few different files on my phone to try to get the controller to work (.kl and .kcm files) as well as the app USB/BT Joystick Center 6 (which recognizes the controller and seems to work when I'm setting it up, but games are still unable to recognize the controller). I'm completely out of ideas of what to do or what the problem could be, so if anyone's had success with this or has an idea how this could be done, that would be fantastic. Thanks!
Hi,
Sorry for broken English, I can connect the Xbox controller trough USB and play game and navigate in the home screen with not problem , but when I try to connect the ps3 controller the phone didn't detect it at all, on my Android tablet I just plug and play even for Bluetooth. I Try USB debugging but doesn't work.
Do you have any solution ?
Thanks for help and have a good day
Someone who knows better may correct me, but this is something that needs to be supported by the kernel. So maybe a custom kernel will allow this in the future. Or possibly Motorola could release an update.
There is an app on the play store called Sixaxis Controller that might help.
yea i know but i need to pay .... thank you anyway
Hello guys, i've got a problem with xbox 360 controller triggers on android games. I've got an OTG and i tried to plug in a wireless xbox 360 ORIGINAL controller and a wired xbox 360 NOT ORIGINAL controller. Both of them works, but have problems with triggers (RT and LT). Triggers aren't recognized at all by any game. I've got a oneplus one rooted with custom ROM Exodus 5.1 with latest open gapps mini. I don't think is a rom problem because i had this same problem with two other roms before. What can i do?
You have to keep in mind that triggers are technically no buttons (like A,B...).
They are axes and are basically a third analog stick split into two. In the end they are both analog.
On PC, games access the controller via the xinput api (in directx).
This api is just not available under android that's why games don't recognize the triggers as buttons.
There might be a wrapper which could fix this, I don't know.
thank you for your answer, but i saw some videos in which people use those triggers.... someone else knows how to deal with them?
