Problem with triggers Xbox 360 Controllers - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys, i've got a problem with xbox 360 controller triggers on android games. I've got an OTG and i tried to plug in a wireless xbox 360 ORIGINAL controller and a wired xbox 360 NOT ORIGINAL controller. Both of them works, but have problems with triggers (RT and LT). Triggers aren't recognized at all by any game. I've got a oneplus one rooted with custom ROM Exodus 5.1 with latest open gapps mini. I don't think is a rom problem because i had this same problem with two other roms before. What can i do?

You have to keep in mind that triggers are technically no buttons (like A,B...).
They are axes and are basically a third analog stick split into two. In the end they are both analog.
On PC, games access the controller via the xinput api (in directx).
This api is just not available under android that's why games don't recognize the triggers as buttons.
There might be a wrapper which could fix this, I don't know.

thank you for your answer, but i saw some videos in which people use those triggers.... someone else knows how to deal with them?

[Q] Retrolink USB NES Controller

Hey Guys,
I got one of these for Christmas: RetroLink USB NES controller
It doesn't require drivers, therefore my TF700 dock picks it up. As you can see it shows up: Screenshot
For some reason though I can't map the keys in NESoid.
I'm running CM10.1.
Any ideas? Maybe I'm missing something.
No ideas on the gamepads? It should just be considered the same as a wired Xbox 360 controller, which is apparently supported.

[Q] How to set up an xbox 360 wired controller via OTC?

I've searched all the forums, as well as the web, and followed every bit of advice and / or instructions I could find on the issue, but no matter what I attempt to do I can't get any games to work with the xbox 360 controller. Anyone have any idea how to get this to work with the skyrocket via an OTC cable?
More Details:
When I first plugged it in, the device seemed to recognize the controller (the lights on the controller would start flashing, the phone would give a message saying that a usb device is connected - but no games (I used emulators as well as games that are supposed to specifically support playing with an xbox controller, like GTA 3) were able to recognize or use the controller. Since then I've downloaded and installed a few different files on my phone to try to get the controller to work (.kl and .kcm files) as well as the app USB/BT Joystick Center 6 (which recognizes the controller and seems to work when I'm setting it up, but games are still unable to recognize the controller). I'm completely out of ideas of what to do or what the problem could be, so if anyone's had success with this or has an idea how this could be done, that would be fantastic. Thanks!

Xbox 360 controller ?

Is there any way to make the 360 controller work on the S6? It's not a wireless controller.
I'll even root. Is there any way to make the 360 wired controller work? (tried it with my otg but it dosen't work. Strange thing that it worked on any other phone in my house..)
Anyone?
It should work out of the box. Are you on stock f/w?

Yep. It's not working..
strange. my ps2 controler with ps2 to usb and than over the otg cable works fine.
it could be that the s6 doesn't deliver enough power for the xbox controller.

Nope,it delivers the power but the controller wont find the phone. I don't know why. Everyone on the internet has the same problem..
Solved on s6 active!
After about a week of trying, I have wireless 360 controllers working on my s6 active. I'm using a Microsoft 360 controller receiver and an otg cable. I had to find a legit USB BT Joy Center apk (not the gold version, it kept disconnecting my controller) and then I found an app called Lucky patcher that let me remove the license verification on the app, since it has been abandoned by the developer. No root required! It allows you to keymap, so I can use multiple 360 controllers for emulators (Mario kart tested), and I even used it to play games streaming from my computer with Moonlight. I have the fixed apk file upon request, or you can diy with the instructions above.
Out of the box galaxy s6 doesn't work with with x360 controller. It doesn't event work with regular usb controller that other phones work. You have to remap buttons but it's pointless because phone doesn't recognize analog triggers and joysticks.

USB Joycenter has a feature that works with the MegaN64 and Mupen64 Emulators that allows for analog input. I'm uploading a video tutorial right now, it'll be up in an hour or so. https://youtu.be/I9fvLZMd9bE

PS4 controller on Android

Hi,
I am looking for a controller to use with my Android phone. I thought about getting a PS4 controller as I will be using it for emulators and therefore won't have problems with mapping keys and I know a PS4 controller will be good quality controller.
But from looking online I see people have lag input problems with the PS4 controller on Android, and they have found a work around by installing a Bluetooth program and selecting a option. To be honest I don't want to be messing around with programs and stuff and rather just have a controller that just connects and works. So is this input lag problem still happening with newer phones/Androids? If so what good Bluetooth controller would you recommend to use with a Android phone? I have tried a OTP cable and a normal USB gamepad but that wouldn't work sadly on my Xiaomi phone.
Thanks,
