Hey guys, I'm running a Rooted G3 with Paranoid Android 5.0.2 ROM and all the sudden this morning my phone would not send SMS or MMS messages! I can receive them but not send them. It was working fine last night...And for the last couple days I've been running it.
I've tried reboot, reboot and clear cache, battery pull, erasing other messages, verizon wireless to see if there was a block and still nothing has worked.
Please help!

Have you tried your sim card in another device?

So I rooted my GS3 I535 4.1.2 yesterday and everything worked fine. It wasn't until I flashed a hyperdrive ROM that the issue occured. The phone still made and recieved texts no problem and can I could still use the internet, facebook and other data apps as normal but could not place a call and every time someone calls me they get sent straight to voicemail. I quickly reverted the phone back to stock and did a factory reset. After all of the ota updates finished this morning to bring it back up to date from 4.0.4 to 4.1.2 I now have the phone back just how I recieved it out of the box and it is still giving me the same problem. Has anyone else had the same problem? How do I fix it?

First thing you should check is to see if you've lost your IMEI/ERI. To check that go to Settings>About Phone>Status. Your IMEI should be the number that is under your battery and your ERI should read 5. If those say 0 and none respectively you'll need to restore them. But let's see if that's the problem first.
I resolved the issue a few days ago. It was qn issues with verizon. They had to reset the signal being sent to the phone. Thanks for your help

Hello,
I recently updated my rom to Droidkang v18, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2525627. Still running cyanogenmod 11, but for some reason whem I woke up this morning I had no service on my phone. I can't even contact tmobile to see if it is something on their end. Emergency calls only is all I see. Should I reset to factory settings and reinstall? Should I unroot and reroot? Ive checked the threads and haven't seen a post like this so I apologize if this has already been answered. I unfortunately can't remember which rom I had before this one, but it was running cyanogenmod 11.
Check your sim card. Pull and re-insert.

I am getting the com.android.phone error message very often. It started just under a week ago. To recap:
I am rooted with an unlocked bootloader, installed CyanogenMod 11.0-InstallerXNPQ32P. I keep getting the error when trying to send texts especially. I have cleared my phone cache, rebooted, installed CyanogenMod in recovery mode, updated CyanogenMod, etc. I have also had issues with my service cutting in and out that might have something to do with it, thought I've updated the towers. I use Textra as a texting app, previously using Google Hangouts. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
Hey all. I really hoped I would have sorted this just by searching but... still stuck.
I have an XT1033, which I updated from cm11 > cm12 falcon (31/01 nightly) using TWRP 2.8.1. Gapps mini modular package from PA link. From my forum searching etc I thought the XT1033 dual sim was now all good to go on the falcon nightlies but since the update I havent been able to send or recieve any sms although 3g data, incoming and outgoing calls and MMS are all fine. Below are some things I have tried.
Sim card has been tested to send and receive fine in another phone.
MMS is working fine and all APN settings have been double checked.
I've tried using the *#*#4635#*#* menu to see if the SMSC number was the problem. Confirmed it was correct.
I tried flashing again using CWM as well with the same result. Also tried again with TWRP, this time formatting (almost) everything, data, system, data/media, dalvik, regular cache etc. Tried flashing a falcon nightly from 27/01 as well to see if it worked.
It looks like this problem has occurred for a couple of XT1033 owners upgrading recently to CM12 but I'm not sure if anybody has worked out where the issue is?? If anyone has any troubleshooting ideas, suggestions etc... Thanks in advance.
:good: and thanks to the CM devs, contributors etc. (And google I suppose). Im really loving Lollipop, the material ui and all the usual CM tweaks, the rom is friggin sweet otherwise. From a long time lurker/searcher of xde who usually finds my q already answered.

same issue for me... Sms not working on any custom roms... Pls help
Not the answer you are probably wanting to hear but I have a similar problem just a different model phone. Use a 3rd party app that lets you manually set the apn. EvolveSMS or Smitten both let you do just that and are pretty nice apps as well.

THANKS FOR THE REPLY DEAR FRIEND.. BUT I INSTALLED SO MANY 3RD PARTY APPS LIKE TEXTRA SMS, GOSMS ETC. BUT IT DIDN'T FIX MY PROBLEM... :crying:
Hello Everyone,
First of all I'm Sorry for adding one more thread to XDA but I'm indeed for Help.
So my Problem is I was on EMUI doing well but i decided to flash Resurrection Remix. i flashed it as per the guide and successfully Booted up. Then i setup my phone normally but after 2 days i was charging my phone and then when i wanted to unlock it Whenever i put the pin or fingerprint the system ui Restarts and i was back to lockscreen and Repeating again and again. Then i booted in twrp and done a Factory Reset and again setup my phone and added pin lock then again i stucked so i decided to not add any security. And i was using it fyn no Bugs. But after 2 days when i updated magisk from xda labs and booted up after that when i click on someone to call calling screen comes up and says Call Ended. But the person's contact i clicked on He received call. And when someone calls me I didn't receive and call but they hear the Ring ( Tring Tring......Tring..Tring). And then i thought this is a problem in Resurrection Remix so i flashed AOSPA as per the guide but both problems were also there so i came back to RROS. And Yesterday i switched off my phone to charge my phone fast but it doesn't booted up everything was formatted then i thought its time for a Clean install so i done format data from TWRP and installed RROS but the Problem was still There.
Please Help me I'm indeed for help.
The only problem is big is Calling Function.
And don't think my phone doesn't have VOLTE u can see in Screenshot. Everything is working fine except calling
