[Completed] [Q] HELP!!!! wrong boot files on lg g2 d802!! - XDA Assist

hello, thank you to all the helpers.
i got a new lg g2 d802 32 gb phone, and of course tried to root and put twrp on it. the root went well but i was unsuccessful at putting the twrp on it.
when i tried going into the twrp it got stuck in fastboot mode. after some research i learned what to do and started flashing the root files.
i didn't realize that there are designated files for every phone (stupid, right?). now my phone wont go into download mode, recovery mode,
or fastboot, and every time i turn it on it goes into the welcome setup of the d800, stays there for a couple of minutes and reboots.
my windows does not recognize it, and running ubuntu on vmware doesn't either.
is there a fix out there or is the phone gone?
please help!!!

Hi,
Often flashing files not made for our exact device make and model number can brick devices, or hopefully just cause issues we can fix. I suggest you ask the experts who own your device for help in this dedicated help thread for your device ,

[Completed] Is there any hope left for my boyfriends LG G2 LS980?

OKAY SO-
My boyfriend soft bricked his LG G2 LS980 (when attempting to get twrp).
When this happened we thought we found a way to fix it but when we were entering commands in my computers cmb with the phone connected via usb to get it out of fastboot something went wrong and now his phone wont turn on at all.
We automatically assumed that we completely ruined it until I discovered that his phone isn't completely off -the screen lights up a bit- and when I plug the device up it shows up as Local Disk Y: and tells me to format multiple discs.
Is there anyway to fix this at all or should I just give up ?
:crying:

I tried doing a hard reset but it didn't work and I tried download mode but the I got an error message when driver installation started. Is there anything else I can do/anything I've done wrong?
help
Hi,
I suggest you do have a custom recovery, no? Otherwise how did you root? And yes, taking an OTA with a custom recovery will usually end badly.
You could try the procedure in this thread,
> LG G2 > G2 Android Development > [FIX] Installed TWRP and now you're stuck after OTA?
If that doesn't help, you can ask for help here,

[Completed] Stuck in middle of installing cynogenmod in LG G2

I tried to install cynogenmod in my LG G2. I forgot to copy .apk files and installation files on my phone before starting the process. I have not copied anything to my phone. I backed up and wiped everything using ROM Manager. But now I do not have any installation files to install. I have tried hard resetting but still I am stuck with ROM Manager. When I connect my phone to laptop it does not read the phone. Now, how can I fix this problem? I need to install a software so that I can use my phone. Someone please help me in this regard.
You can Connect to a PC via OTG Cable while in Recovery Mode. Please review [HELP] Stuck In TWRP Can't ADB Sideload

[Completed] [q] is there any way i can repair my hard bricked phone?

I think I hard bricked my LG G2 Mini D618. I was going to flash a custom ROM and in the process I think I messed up in setting up the bootloader ( i may have flashed the wrong aboot.img). And now my phone isn't turning on in any way.
I can't enable Download Mode
I can't access Recovery Mode
PC won't recognize the phone (i have installed LG Driver). Just "Removable Disk" and not "Android" in Device Manager.
won't turn on in any way.
Please help me, i don't want to spend money on sending it on LG Shop.

[Completed] Recovering data from dead phone

Hey all,
I accidentally ran a root script on my LG G2 D803 that was for the D802, and then my phone would only boot into fastboot mode. Then in an attempt to restore the phone, I flashed the stock boot, aboot, modem, and laf, as well as twrp recovery, but now the phone just shows a black (but still on) screen, even when I plug it in to charge. Neither ADB nor fastboot can detect the phone, and when I plug it in to a computer, it shows a bunch of weird system files, .b00, .b01 etc...
Long story short, since the phone's hardware is still in good condition, I was wondering if there was anyway to restore just the /sdcard partition, or a way to restore the whole phone (though I really doubt that at this point).
Thanks for taking the time to read this!
