CM 12 Official Bluetooth
Is anyone else having a problem with CM 12 Official Nightlies (15-Jan-08 version) connecting bluetooth? My Plantronics Legend bluetooth headset connects (or so the icon suggests), but audio comes out on the headset. Had this problem with earlier versions of CM12 Unofficial. Thanks...

My apologies. Meant to say audio comes out of the handset (phone) and not the bluetooth headset...

No problem here with BT headset. I will test the connection with my Car BT phone system. I had car BT connection issue with CM11. Some member in this forum tested their car audio connection using CM12, no problem at all. Maybe, you need to perform a clean install (both CM12 and gapps); just a thought.

Thanks so much for the feedback. I'll try a clean install...

I am using AOPK 4.12 and when trying to initate voice commands via my Bluetooth device I am having some trouble. Voice Dialer pops up when I push the talk button on my Bluetooth headset, but it doesn't pick up my voice at all. I have tried Cyberon Voice Command app, and another bluetooth headset. Am I missing something, doing something wrong? I've been trying to fix this for days and figured it was finally time to ask for assistance.
Thanks for any ideas or info you can give me =).

unfortunately with jellybean, voice commands no longer use the Bluetooth microphone. Instead, only the phone's mic will pick up your voice, even when connected to a Bluetooth device (headset, car, etc.)
I really wish this wasn't the case as I just got a Bluetooth mic for my car and its now useless.. There's no fix at the moment
I just recently bought a new camry and one of the things I noticed was that malluuba would never get to the sound wave after I hit the mic while connected to my car. By going into the Bluetooth settings and un checking media audio, it will begin working for me. If you are just using the Bluetooth mic to make calls and such, just do that as a temporary work around.

Are there any 4.2.2 ROMs out there? I read somewhere this issue might be fixed then.
I have a bluetooth headset and am running mastamoon's unofficial CM10.1 ROM. It is still sometimes wiggy, although it works better than official CM10.1. I am able to speak commands to google search after hitting the microphone icon on the phone. Is there a way to do this without having to press a button on the phone? An app maybe? I haven't had the bluetooth headset for very long.
So I have been flashing my ass off to find a Rom that has Bluetooth AVRCP (music information readout) baked in. When I stream audio via Bluetooth (Pandora or GMusic) to my car's head unit (My Ford Touch with Sync) there has been little to no apps that support AVRCP. CM 10 did support it; however, I cannot get a good flash of CM10 on my d2vzw. No matter what gaaps I flash CM10 will not run properly. I do a clean install every time to no avail. I tried CM 10.1 but they lost the Bluetooth AVRCP support from 10 - 10.1 I have been flashing all sorts of various Roms at different versions to try and find AVRCP support. If anyone has a rom that they are able to get Bluetooth music info displayed please let me know. Or if you know what I am doing wrong in my CM 10 install. I searched the forums and no one really had any answers; however, the last inquiry was over 6 months ago. I am hoping something new has come to light. Thanks.
I use ROM build 224 of Timduru on my TF101.
When I start wifi-tethering, the wifi is set to off and no wifi signal is sent from the tab. After a minute or so the tab reboots.
Recently I saw one familiar issue reported at dev, but no solution
When I have my Sennheiser MM70s headset connected to the tab, the internal mic keeps working and my headset mic is not. Audio sound is good at my headset. A cable is included with the headset that converts the gnd and mic connection on the jack. This cable is only needed for use with my Nokia cellphone, but not for my TF101.
I have not seen any reports on not working external mics on JB 4.2.2, but only JB 4.1 ROMs.
Are both problems still unsolved bugs or is this due to wrong installation from my side?
Build 116
If you haven't already, try build 116 and see if it solves your problems. My head set mic works in 116, I can't speak to your WiFi tethering problem.

Yes, I have tried build 116, but had no positve result. I have first no mic working (ie with Skype) and when I then plug out/in the jack I have the internal mic only working instead of the headset mic.
So in the mean time I flashed some ROM and I am now at KatKiss 216 instead of Team EOS 4 ROM 115 when I started this thread.
But I'm still stuck with this problem.
I tried the HD 3.6 Revelution ROM which is not far from the stock ROM and had no issues with the headphone mic.
My conclusion is that this is not a hardware problem, but a problem with the ROM.
According to this http://public.timduru.org/Android/tf101/KatKiss/#report I have report issues with the ROM here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2362764
But I have I do that, forum rules forbid me to post the issue in that thread.
So can some please post my issue in that thread?
Hi all,
I just got the OPO few days ago and I'm having issues with bluetooth. I use bluetooth in my car to stream music. Everything was working fine on my Nexus 5.
On the OPO i can connect without problems but when playing some music there is some strange stuttering and skipping of music...
Anyone also having this issue ?
I'm thinking this is a software bug as I found out that CM had a lot of issues with bluetooth stuttering...
Bump ?
I haven't had any issues. I've probably steamed at least 12 of audio over Bluetooth so far this week. Being CyanogenMod, I'm not sure if it supports aptx or just a2dp. Either way, no issues here.

What rom? Did you change performance settings? Installed Viper4Android? Anything not stock?
fwiw I found that V4A caused issues with certain settings (convolver enabled, clarity) if low max screen-off frequency was forced. Otherwise my BT doesn't skip at all or lag on two sets of speakers, Sony MDR-1RBT headset and a car stereo.
Does your previous phone have the same prob?

I'm now on Mahdi ROM and I have the same issue. I'm streaming via bluetooth into a FM transmitter (http://www.newpotatotech.com/TUNELINK_ANDROID/tunelink_android.html). It was working fine with my Nexus 5.
I don't think I changed anything... I will try to troubleshoot it again, but I think it must be some software bug..

Same issue here. With a tunelink FM transmitter.
I don't have any problems with a prius Bluetooth and generic chinese navigation system.

With the M8 stable rom, the Audio quality is better, the micro stutters are still there though
It's a known bug with CM11 no fix in sight as far as I could find:

Atleast we are not alone. Hope it gets fixed soon.
I also have issues with Bluetooth, I use Poweramp as my media player and have it set to autoplay when it connects to BT but when it connects, it plays a brief second and stops. I have to manually play the music.
I also noticed it only sends the first song metadata rather than change every time I play something different... Annoying.
had similar problems with both my S4 and Z1 on CM (using both since one is my private and one my business mobile) Both are now on PAC (7/10/2014) and even before that i did not have the bluetooth issues with them on PAC. try it out - there is a PAC for the One (which i will use as well when mine arrives this week (hopefully))
or try with omnirom - they use a different BT implementation

Could you give us a link to the PAC ?
Check bacon-1005 on jira and vote it up. Cyan-4147 was reported specifically for the m7 and it's gki_Linux errors. There are some patches I'm testing to isolate the cause of the stuttering. Don't worry you all are not the only ones with the issue.

Yes got to have good bluetooth in call reception, every other rom i tried terrible.
PAC rom bluetooth quality?
Can anyone confirm that PAC rom has fixed the problem of bad quality BT audio?
I am runnig the stock CM rom - now rooted, but the problem has been there all the time since I got the phone. The sound quality is not acceptabe with my Lexus RX 450h handsfree for the outbound call audio, that is I can hear quite well, but the other person can not.
My old phone Galaxy Nexus worked just fine, so there has to be something wrong with OPO's bluetooth.
Guys user: BIOYAM
Found a fix that worked for him and for me. You can try this:
Install SetCPU (I used a free app No-frills Cpu controll) with Governor: Interactive, CPU: Max 2265MHZ & Min 652
This totally stopped my bluetooth audio issues. Of course you need to be rooted to use these tools.
Hope this helps. :good:
Problem solved!
Hey problem solved
I had bluetooth pairing and buffering problems and now everything works perfectly. what I did was flash OPO_OxygenOS_1_0-modem-flashable.zip (you can find it somewhere in google docs..don't remember the link)
anyway after doing that everything works perfectly.
I am running cyanogen 12.1 nightly build from 20150601
then I flashed the modem.
Dear all,
i was searching the forums for similar threads already, but none are specific enough to my special problem :
Since CM 10.2 started to make unified builds for all MOTOROLA devices, i am suffering from serious problems on my XT897. I can connect and pair any BT device fine, but during using it all of a sudden bluetooth will switch from external BT speaker to the internal speaker of the phone, and this can't be switched back anymore.
In the recent CM 11 versions it will also sometimes not pair with the hands-free if i enter the car and have BT activated in the phone, i have to deactivate first in order to have it paired correctly, but this is acceptable to me.
I was using the last nightly built specifically for the XT897 for a long time still for exactly this reason, i need my phone for the job and it is a big problem if a customer calls me in the car with my hands-free, and all of a sudden the conversation is terminated (well, i can still hear the other guy on the speaker of my XT897, but that doesn't help while driving).
Is it possible that the BT modules used in all newer CM builds are sub-optimal for the XT897 ? If so, could anybody consider reverting back to the old BT module for the JBBL builds and/or the XT897 ?
I'm fighting with BT issues also with 4.4 roms (also previous version).
I have random cases where the other party either can't hear me, or I'm really quiet. They sound fine to me though.
Sometimes BT audio cuts out during a call, or the phone won't transfer the call to BT despite being paired. Tried multiple different headsets.
Would be nice to have it work like it should, I also need BT for work.

SOLVED: now running a stripped down 'stock' JB rom, with xposed for a few necessities.
No more BT call etc issues. Let me know if you want details.
