I just received two from them, they appear to be legit. Tested both, no issues. Look is identical to original, not like many of those cheap knock-offs from ebay. Amazon also has available - although higher cost.

Well little update. I went to bestbuy Samsung experience to see if I could purchase one and I could not. Guy worked I have talked to several times and said they didn't carry and not sure about when or if they would have them. Anyways long story short he gave me a spare one they had from a note 4 box!! I was ecstatic! Sorry that doesn't help anybody here but I got an oem one for free! [emoji4]
It's now available on Samsung's website for $34.99. Now if only the spare battery kit was in stock, I'd order both of them in a heartbeat.
Now that's awesome. :good:

Looking to replace my oem S4 charger, I realize the samsung one is high quality and charges at 1900mA, but I don't want to spend $40+ on a charger..anyone have any good and cheaper alternatives, what will charge at least at 1200mA, links please? I been looking around amazon and online but I'm scared to get some cheap chinese ones.

Any other charger will charge slower than the official Samsung one because of the way it implements a quickcharge spec. That said, I use this one and it works well - but definitely slower than the Samsung one:

Any cable should be fine as long as it meets USB specs. I got a bunch on Monoprice that work great.

I bought this one:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CQS0S7E
It's probably NOT true OEM, but it does charge my S4 at 1900mA. However, the cable that came with it did not work. It won't even fit on the s4, or any other microUSB ports. It looked used/broken. I am using a regular USB cable from monoprice and it works fine.
btw, I ordered from BLUTEKUSA. I don't see them on the list of sellers right now, so it might be dangerous to buy these as there are a lot of negative reviews on the other sellers.

Bought a very cheap original Samsung Note2 charger here, does the job wonderfully.
Here's a small review of some charger I tested:

Seems like the blackberry playbook charger is all good, charges the phone perfectly and efficiently.
I am using the iGO Dual USB Wall Charger for Tablets. It has two 2.1Amp ports, comes with a 6 or 7 foot USB cable and the A97 tip for charging. Works wonderfully and found it on clearance at RadioShack for $8.98. I can charge my iPad and my S4 at the same time with no issues.
Right now im looking at these. Have y'all had any experience with it?
What nfc batteries have you guys bought and have liked? Which batteries should be avoided?

This is all I use, http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones-accessories/EB-KG900BWUSTA, comes with charger and spare battery, this gets me through whole day and then some with spare always charged! Battery comes with cool protective case too!!!
Thanks guys. Im going to get the ones i posted. They do have nfc, just not the ones that the link takes you to for some reason.
I bought the OEM battery charger, which came with a spare battery. The listed price is $99, but it's currently selling for $44 on Amazon, which I think is a decent deal for what you get. A nice external battery charger, battery, wire/cable (the only downside is that it's only .8 amp so I wouldn't charge the phone with it and the cable is not a separate one), and a plastic case to carry the spare battery around in.

Oh? I'll have to look into that. Paying $42 for a fake one when the real ones are just a little more (I saw some for about same price to $48ish) seems silly. I thought it had the official hologram seals and stuff, but could be wrong.

I think I'm good. I just checked and both items are made in Korea (battery was assembled in Vietnam) and the battery is identical (other than a different S/N to the one that came with the phone. The charger also has the legit sticker with a unique S/N. The battery also has the water damage sticker as well as the little black QR-code like square, which all apparently adds up to being a legit/real deal OEM. Did you check the contents of your box carefully? The little charger that came with it was buried in the back. Like I mentioned, it's only .8amps so it takes longer to charge the battery than using the cable and charger that came with the phone, so I don't really use it.
Also just checked the box and it had the Samsung hologram sticker.

I'll echo those who say to go with the OEM battery charger with the spare battery. It's definitely worth the money. I've used many different kinds of third party batteries over the years (including for the S5), and while some are decent, none come close to the quality of the OEM batteries. The charger is great to have, and it charges batteries much faster than third party chargers.

Please post photo's, the original one only comes with three items, battery, battery case and battery charger unit.
You will have to use you USB cable that comes with the phone and plug it to the charger.

whoa...simmadonna (might not get the SNL reference if you're not from the US).
I never claimed anyone's was "fake". I believe someone said that mine might be as it included the charger and his didn't, which turned out to be false as he later found out that it did include it. Who knows? Perhaps mine still is a fake as I didn't buy it directly from Samsung but if it is...they did a PHENOMENAL job of recreating all these OEM like things and appearance. Also looks, feels and performs as well as the original so I'm not bummed out if it is.
Battery Monitor Widget Pro now suggests I'm getting 1700mAh or less, should I replace the battery? If so, pay someone or do it myself? I've heard it's pretty simple to do it myself.
Its very doable. If youre up to it, i read in another thread today that when replacing your battery you should be careful because it might be glued down hard, try to avoid straining the original battery.
According to a couple reviews from Google, replacing the battery is quite easy. A rule of thumb would be to get a battery pulled from a new device since I don't think Google sells manufactured Nexus 4 batteries because it's "non-replaceable". Just be careful and follow a guide on Youtube.

Google doesn't sell batteries, nor do they make phones. The Nexus 4 is made by LG, and the battery is available from many sources, brand new, OEM. Not "pulled from a new device". That's just absurd. Same battery the Optimus G uses. Don't pay more than $20 or so.
Are those values from Battery Monitor Widget Pro reliable? Because mine is showing ~1500 mAh

LG*. My mistake. However, I have searched for batteries for the Nexus 4 that are claimed to be "OEM" and according to reviews they never hold a full charge that a battery from out-of-the-box would hold. Apparently they are just listed as "OEM" and "New", but either have already been used or of poor build quality. Getting a battery "pulled from a new device" off eBay has proven for me for other devices to be much more reliable at holding a longer charge. I can see why it might be risky or slightly unreasonable, but I don't think that it is absurd.

I wish they were were. Because on my phone, that app reads my battery as having 2099000mAh. Apparently the OEM battery I got off eBay is actually powered by Uranium 238. Too bad the real world usage doesn't confirm that theory.

Finding a Nexus4 good quality battery is a real challenge in my experience. The one currently in my nexus4 is supposed to be an OEM, but obviously it is not (*very* poor battery life). I contacted LG and they tell me that I cannot get this part from LG, they don't sell it
If anyone has tips, I would be very grateful

As much as I hate to admit it, I don't think we will. Our phones battery is not removable and it was never intended by LG for it to be replaced. Which means that the only batteries we are gonna get is dodgy ones probably. The last thing I need is buying an 'original', battery and waking up the next morning to find a burnt hole where my phone once was :good:

Well, I just replaced my battery with this one: http://www.amazon.de/Akku-BL-T5-Goo...8&qid=1412345320&sr=8-1&keywords=nexus+4+akku
I am sorry, that the page is German - but you can see, that the selling shop is the official LG Electronics Shop on Amazon
thought these phones use a polymer battery which has a very high charge and discharge cycle.
You can try checking your local LG service center if they have it. That is where I got mine for about $25, but I'm in Thailand though so YMMV.
Sooooo, RAVPower just released a device to Amazon US and Amazon UK. Annoyingly, I still can't post links here, but search for the phrase "The first ever external battery charger with USB-C/Type-C" and you'll find it (perhaps someone could add links below?)
It's a bit of a monster both in terms of weight and capacity, so I don't see it being a daily driver, but I've asked whether they have anything smaller on the way. I hope to hear back from them soon and I'll update below.
It's pricey too, at $60 / £40. So, there's that.
But, hey - an external battery with 5V/3A USB Type-C in and out. We're finally getting there, folks! :highfive:
Just post the ASIN number from the Amazon page, a search for that will only go to the proper page.

I wonder if the price will increase beyond $60 because I'm sure there will be more options in the coming weeks. I'll need one for travel, but not sure if it was worth the cost.

They told me these are not promotional prices because they're still in the get-the-reviews-in phase. I image they'll drop another 30-40% quite soon. Personally, I'm hoping for a smaller device, but RAVpower are a nice brand so hopefully they'll deliver.

Yea, I figure I'll need one now that my new role requires 25% travel. Just not in the next two months though so I can wait.
I might pick one of these up next week as my OG Anker is not going to charge the 6P in a timely manner.
I just wish Anker would at least show the tech specs of their upcoming battery packs. I want to know the size, weight, etc. and expected price.
Just show me that so I can decide if I should wait
Rats. This from RAVpower:
"If the 20100 mAh power bank can open the Market of the USB Type-C, we will definitely consider to extend other models with various capacity. Hope you can understand."
It seems a very odd product to lead off with, but hey ho.
Eh I went ahead and ordered one! It'll be in on monday so I'll report back then
I picked up an external battery charger that has a type c USB in it... Its a 10400 mAh pack and the device itself says it outputs 5v/3a but unfortunately I can't test the claim until I receive my 6p. The battery pack is from a company called talentcell...

This is certainly bigger than my current power bank...a tiny 3000mAh pack. But what I liked about mine was it has a built-in microUSB connector, so I didnt have to carry around a separate cable just to use it.
Just bought one of the ravpower power banks from Amazon. If you go to Ravpower's website, you can get emailed a discount code to use on your Amazon purchase. Brought my checkout price to around $35. Hope this helps
$35?!?!?
Damn I got mine for $48 and thought I was lucky...
bought one at 80$.... Hate the canadian dollars right now -_-
I still might pick this up even though it's an expensive £40 here.

Has anyone specifically tried the replacement N5 battery from etradesupply? It's the only one I can see that even looks anything like OEM. All the rest are clearly knockoffs.
There's another thread about replacement battery vendors, but most of those on eBay are sold out, and the remaining one is pretty sketchy. The Amazon batteries all have substantially negative feedback, too.
I just can't see throwing away a perfectly good phone simply because it needs a new battery.
Etradesupply nexus 5 batteries are fake. I got 2 of them and they are fake so I got full refund plus shipping from PayPal and still kept batteries but have not install them.

This is OEM LG battery supplier in US, bit expensive by original.
This is the one I just installed: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...true&ref_=ox_sc_act_title_1&smid=AUJEVHB99RGQ
It seems to be tracking the battery temperature too. So far so good!

Are you sure that is the correct battery? It is expensive, but I'll pay it if it's OEM and not some ripoff.

How long have you been running that one? I'm a bit leery to buy anything with 30% negative reviews.
