I was running MikeD63017's CM12 on my Sprint S5 Sport, and I wanted to return to stock to get the latest stagefright fix. I used ODIN 3.10 to flash G860PVPU2BOC5_G860PSPT2BOC5_G860PVPU2BOC5_HOME.tar.md5. ODIN reported Success.
I'm now in a boot loop where it gets to the Samsung screen, "Preparing your device for 1st time use..." and then reboots. I've tried re-flashing to no avail. Samsung Keys 3 & the new Smart Switch PC software don't recognize my phone or manual input of model/serial.
I feel like an idiot - I'm now searching for G860PVPU2BOH1 firmware.
Fixed. User UPdownLoAD walked me through Wiping in stock recovery and I then re-flashed in ODIN.
Hey guys, so I'm up for a new phone (had this phone for 2 years) and I remember having a friend root + flash me the cyanogenmod on my Samsung Galaxy S3
I decided to root/flash my current phone (Galaxy S5) and i ended up ****ing in on several fronts.
The following is what I did and where I ended up
Rooted phone through Odin - was successful but I got a feeling it was outdated as I got the Seandroid kernal thing in red
Got ROM Manager and flashed recovery to TWRP - successful
Flashed ROM to Cyanogenmod nightly 7/14/16 - used the wrong version so i couldn't use my phone to call
Flashed Rom to the correct version - successful
Installed Gapps zip so i can use the app store and etc - experienced issues as it was always saying the store failed and etc
Now where I am currently
I ended up wiping all the data and etc so I can flash back to the Stock ROM/firmware since I couldn't get the Gapps to work.
I tried to flash the firmware but everytime I flash it and it boots to the stock recovery and says "installing android update" it gets to 1/3rd where it says "Erasing" and boots up to the Sprint Logo where the Blue notif is on and it is stuck.
I'm assuming its soft bricked and on a bootloop and I am trying to see if I can salvage this phone.
I tried flashing different version of the firmware (my brother has the same phone his version is G900PVPS3CPE2) and i tried that and G900PVPU3CPA. Both times its says its successful on odin but upon booting it only gets 30% before it says erasing and returns to get stuck on the boot.
Can I salvage this phone and if so can someone guide me through the proccess (links to proper firmware download/etc)
I do not care if any data/apps is lost (i have important stuff backed up on my gmail), I just want my phone to work.
That being said, my phone is salvageable instead of guiding me to repairing my phone to stock, if they can guide me to set my phone to a custom ROM (cyanogenmod or anything they suggest assuming they can get the googleapps to work on it) can someone please guide me through that.
Thanks again for reading.

Phone: Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900P (SPR) Android 6.0.1

Hello, I have a note 5 that is currently stuck in a boot loop. I am not 100% sure how it go into this state, it is a customers phone. I am able to access Odin Mode, and Recovery but am not able to run factory reset or boot into bootloader. In Odin mode I have downloaded stock software from US Cellulars website, I'm not sure if it matters which version I select? There is a couple for 6.0, I assume just different release dates? The flash completes successfully, or atleast it appears to. The phone reboots but will only show Samsung logo then boot into recovery. I've tried different stock software, and different cables with pretty much the same result. Sometimes it will boot into android system update, but fails about 25% and reboots. Do I have any other options? Any help is greatly appreciated!
Hi !
I want you to be sure that you have flashed the correct firmware for your device variant

Good luck !
Hi, I really need some help with my s7. As of recently my s7 just randomly stopped booting and got stuck with the blue LED notification light still on. I tried everything to get it to boot but it never did. I can get to the recovery menu so I tried flashing a stock room via ODIN off of Sammobile. It still wouldn't boot and the system status changed to (system status: custom).
Now I've fixed this issue before and what I did last time was I flashed a stock rom and then used Kies and / or Smart switch and the Firmware upgrade and Initialisation which changed it from custom back to official and it finally would boot. However, that is not working this time. I've tried 3 different stock roms including UAE 6.01 / UAE 7.0 / UK 6.01 and I've tried using kies and smart switch a million times to no avail. I don't remember if I turned on developer options last time or not but either way I can't get the phone to boot now.
I live in Japan and I imported this phone so If i can't find a solution on these boards I'm out $750. I'll try anything, I'm desperate to get this damn thing working again. Please help , you guys are my only hope.
Here is some info about the phone and what it says:

Hi, I tried installing TWRP but I still can't get into the recovery mode. Only the download mode. Do you access TWRP recovery via the same key method as the regular recovery mode? Volume up, home, and power, in my case? I try volume up, home, and power but nothing happens. The only keys that work are volume down, home and power to access download mode.
you could very well have a bad phone as this has happened to you before.
If you could get to download mode, you could use ODIN to install stock Samsung firmware

Hi, I've tried installing stock firmware from Sammobile's website. I tried various firmware's that I though would fit my phone but no luck so far. Is there a way to tell for sure what firmware to use and if so can you tell me which?
You could base the firmware on what region you bought the phone from, for instance, I bought my S7 here in Southeast Asia, thus I have the G930FD variant.

Hi, i have got exactly same problem, did you find any solution for this..?
i have tried all available methods on internet, but no luck..

Use Odin version that matches, Samsung cable and usb 2.0 if possible.
If it's issue to get to download mode then press three buttons used to get to recovery but switch to vol up when screen turns off and hold
Likely will need to wipe data with CSC
Deselect auto reboot before flashing firmware then boot back into download and use odin to either reflash firmware again then boot or flash recovery to boot into and factory reset (I think android stock recovery does on boot after retirning to stock in odin). I find sometimes it takes a couple tries in odin to stick at least with modems and BL. Maybe remove micro SD beforehand too, corrupt data can do weird things on boot.

Hello All,
My friend has a Verizon S6 that is not booting up. Stays frozen or in a boot loop on Samsung logo.
No idea what Android version it had.
I downloaded the latest firmware md5 file for it from SamFirm and tried to flash it with Odin. It was a single file so I used the AP button as usual.
It starts flashing but when it comes to System.img Odin fails. I tried many times with many Odin Versions and re-downloaded the firmware file and tried many usb cables and 2 different PCs but no go.
As I'm writing this, I tried it again and it completed the flash successfully but the phone booted up in a blue Android screen and it said installing system update, then erasing and it froze right there. I go into recovery and reset to factory settings and wipe cache. And the purple LED is on all the time.
So now it's stuck in a boot loop on the Verizon logo red screen.
I believe something is messed up in the partitions or memory, I'm not sure. Anyway I can revive this phone for him?
He's not interested in rooting but if it's a must, no problem; anything to get the phone started.
The phone is sim unlocked cos he was using it on sim cards outside the US, so he would like to keep doing that as he no longer lives in the US.
Thank you kindly in advance.
