Apple Wave [Important] 💀 - General Topics

Hello.
Just saw the Video from TechRax (31 % - 38 %)
...but don't ever try this! With aný phoñe‼
Apple Wave IS actually Haox!
If the phone would be a few seconds longer in the Microwave, it would be boom! Dead. ? ?
The higher Percentage is just, because the Microwave-Waves did hit the Hardware so the percentage can't be calculated properly. Or somehow...
The idea of „Apple Wave for iOS 8“ is from some idiots‼‼‼
Microwaves are dangerous for any kind of phone hardware which is not nanocoated!‼
TechRax makes nice tests, but if he would do that for 6 Seconds in row with 3 % Battery Percentage, the phone would maybe display 41 % after it rallied, but then those 41%'s would be over in 10 Minutes or so!

â–²Not to Forget:
Such a small battery can't be charged up soo fast!
You need bigger batteries with lower capacities for a faster

Somebody lock this bull$#!+ down. Better yet, delete it or move it to whatever back-end section this forum has for this kind of garbage.

Hey, that's not nice of you.
I'm not stupid ...but there are really people who do this at home!
Even the Police warns out of it! (because too long in the microwave can make the phone explode or burn etc.)

Theme/Wallpaper

I would be willing to donate to anyone who can do this. I did search but could not find anything that I was looking for.
Honestly I think a wallpaper would do just fine. I dont really care what is in the background I like darker colors.
Any how I am looking for the firefighters prayer.
It might not be possible which if it isnt not that big of a deal but you never know unless you ask!!!

The Fireman's Prayer
"When I am called to duty, God, wherever flames may rage;
Give me the strength to save some life, whatever be it's age.
Help me embrace a little child before it is to late;
Or save an older person from the horrors of that fate.
Enable me to be alert, and hear the weakest shout,
and quickly and efficiently put the fire out.
I want to fill my calling and to give the best in me;
To guard my every neighbor and protect his property.
And if according to Your will I am to give my life,
Please bless with Your protecting hand,
My children and my wife."
something like this? let me know if you want any changes. try and be a bit more specific.

THAT IS AWESOME!!!!
Thanks now for the noob question do I just go here on my phone and save it then apply as wallpaper or how do I do that?
Everytime I try to make something my wall paper it is always to big for my screen if that makes sense?
Looks great though hope I can use it!!!
you can e-mail it to yourself, you can plug your phone into your computer and drop it on the sd card, or you can go to this site and download it that way.
when you go to set it as wallpaper you will see a green box over the image, resize that box with your finger so most (if not all) of the wallpaper will fit inside of it. then hit set wallpaper.
Awesome thanks figured it out is their anyway you could just put a black background white lettering?
Sorry to be picky lol its just hard to see my clock now haha
Anyway how are you doing this? like what program?

[Q] Light Leaking or not?

Is this considered as light leakage or no?
I can only see the light coming from the the buttons if
i slant it and look at it from the top.
If i rest it on a flat surface or my hand i don't see any light leak

Dude, I'm not here to start a fight but you need to find a hobby and fast. If you can "only see the light coming from the buttons if you slant the phone and look at it from the top", DUDE. NOTHING is going to be perfect on anything you ever buy. Light is going to shine through cracks, that's what it does. So unless you want to get a grant and start research on how to stop this, just let it go and move on with life.
Again I'm not here to start a fight but you guys find the most absurd things to worry about on here. Why can't anyone just enjoy something anymore instead of always trying to find something wrong with it?

Take up bird watching or something if you have that much time to inspect every little crack and space in your phone from every angle you can think of. WOW
You say you dont come here to start a fight yet you come here insulting.
You have no idea who i am or why im asking this and telling me to find a hobby fast lol!.
Sounds like you need to chill the f down.
The reason i asked was because i just got this phone and ive read some issues with light leaking but no actual pictures of whats considered a really bad light lekeage. I bet if light was leaking of you phone and screen separating you wouldnt want it right? ....Exactly
EDIT AGAIN and for the last time:
Actually man, I really don't care. Do what you want to do with your phone.
I'll just leave this here for everyone to see though. It pretty much sums up the way your mind works. You think your phone has light leaking and 16 hours ago you said it was bricked (of course it wasn't bricked and you obviously don't even know what a bricked phone is) Everyone have a laugh:
I'm going to give you time to respond to my PM and then I'm going to block you. I'm sure you can find some kid to exchange momma jokes with on here though.

[Q] What app is responsible for Media Server?

I have no intention of using the phone as a media server. Anyone know how I can prevent this from draining my battery?
You can try settings>apps and stopping dlna and media server services. but not sure if they won't just restart later.

Couldn't find this DLNA service you're referring to under Settings>Apps>Running Services. This issue doesn't seem to always exist either. But it did just pop up and this time taking a huge % of my battery use.
Media server cannot be removed. It is a part of the android central process. WTF is that thing called, i keep botching the order of it but something like android.process.acore
It isn't used to be a mediaserver. In fact part of it controls at least one of the sensors on the phone... maybe the orientation sensing. but at 3 percent, you are doing very good. When people mess it up in custom kernels and whatnot it can freak the hell out and pull like 40 lol.
Anyways, don't worry about it, nothing you can do and 3 percent is awesome.

3% was over a short period of time. I seen it take up much more as shown in the later pic. But if it can't be removed then I guess I'll just have to reboot the phone when it's draining the battery.
It is likely part of services.jar or framework.jar and trying to remove the service would likely be a huge undertaking as it controls anything media related, and some sound events are included in that.

Hey XDA! I think you guys will be able to appreciate the Apple humor here more than anyone else It was inspired by Dilbert: http://dilbert.com/strips/comic/2010-09-23/
Reality Distortion Field (RDF) is a technology that enables one to manipulate reality itself. It has been used for decades by highly influential people to excite, convince, and rally; to bring peace and to incite wars; and mostly to sell mediocre gadgets at premium prices.
For the first time, the secret to the RDF is revealed. The Reality Distortion Field app by Elemris is the first and only to bring this incredible power to your Android phone. Using space-age science, this app allows you to project a small Reality Distortion Field around you to help in your daily life.
Influence your peers… charm anyone... have people marvel at your smartphone even if it has a tiny 3.5 inch screen … now you can have it all.
The RDF is maintained by the battery's electric energy. However the battery drain is minimal because the battery is being fed back by Reality Distortion energy from inside the field. In effect battery life may last longer than usual.
New: SHAKE your device, and the app will convert your body's kinetic energy into RDF energy, for a temporary energy boost.
Results may vary; use for entertainment.
Works best if used at least 3 times a day.
Support
If you run into any problems using Reality Distortion Field, please tell us and we'll do our best to help. As you probably know, it's not possible to provide support through the Android Market - so contact me directly either at elemris.com/contact-us or here on XDA. Thanks for your feedback and support! and if you like our app, please rate and comment and let the world know

This app comes preinstalled on idevices correct?

Yes indeed. Though I hear the RDF implementation in iOS 5 is not functioning correctly.

IPhone owners say the darndest things

I was talking to an iPhone owner about the internet situation at his house when I asked him why he just doesn't tether if he has good phone reception
To which his reply was" if I tether my iphone then I'll have to connect it to the computer to turn it back on' when clearly what he was thinking was a tethered jailbreak. And not wireless internet
To which I laughed hard for about 5minutes solid.
This got me pondering about other people's experiences with iSheep so please share and discuss them here!
Most of you may have heard of this, i ask my friend why she wanted to buy a 4S, and she replied:
"It's got Siri"
And i was like

I have one. My friend posted a siri vs google now vid on his timeline and of course google now trumped. The ishep convo goes like this:
Isheep, upon seeing the video, simply said:
Nope
Smart person:
Explain to me why siri is better.
Me: IPHONES SUCK
Isheep:
Siri is better because it's still really fast, and the droid only beat it by fractions of seconds at some points. It also gave more out more data than its competitor, and was more visually appealing. I also personally don't care which sounds more human like either.
Me:
Wrong on all counts. Android was WAY faster on most tests and it is MUCH more appealing. It did not give out more data whatsoever. Also: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=grmixtB9dZM
Smart person:
In most cases people want data immediately, not more of it. And siri only displayed more data once.
Isheep:
Yeah but it did give it out immediately. I don't think most people would care if you get data in 2 seconds vs 2.5 seconds, or even 2 vs 3 seconds
Smart person:
People want information and not those little "additions" that say "the weather looks good outside today."
Idk why but this just makes me laugh...
