Ok so i have a UK Moto G with Kitkat US Rooted and with CWM
I wanted to return to stock Tesco UK 4.3, so i followed this guide - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2542219
I deleted the two lines
CALL :fastboot_flash partition gpt.bin
IF %errorlevel% NEQ 0 EXIT /b 1
from the flashall.bat because i seen posts about that it was required to flash correctly.
i flashed everything then rebooted, and the phone said, android is upgrading apps.
then it went into the homescreen and the screen started flashing weird so i turned it off
Then i went into android recovery and selected factory reset
now however whenever i try to boot into recovery from the bootloader or just boot normally, i get to the blue M logo , where it is meant to ripple but it only does for a few seconds then stops, then the screen flickers every few seconds.
Please can someone help try get back to a working phone ? :crying:
ok so it turns out i wasn't actually choosing the Factory Reset option in the recovery mode.
What i did this time was highlight the option above the Factory reset, then i was giving a confirmation about factory resetting.
I did that, then i also wiped the cache partition too.
then the phone rebooted and now back on 4.3 tesco UK
Yeah the stock roms don't wipe data & cache by default so you can end up with bootloops if you are switching between roms. run flashall.bat /? to see the switches for wiping during flashing.
Hi Guys.
I am new to Android and XDA so please HELP.
I am from India. I own a galaxy tab 2 P3100 which was purchased from Singapore. However one day suddenly it got stuck in boot-loop while I was switching it on. I too it the same day to Samsung Care, but they were not able to do anything.
When they returned my tab there was black screen and error - firmware update encounter an issue please connect to kies.
Soon after that I started Reading XDA threads and downloaded 3-4 stock ROM of Samsung tab of different different regions - India, Taiwan, Germany, etc. All ROMs were 4.1.2 Android. I tried flashing them on my tab using Odin 3.09. I started with Taiwan it failed at hidden.img. Same with german and Indian.
Then after installing Indian ROM I also installed CWM recovery and and booted my device normally. It booted without any problem. However as soon as it started the whole screen was white with only back button and an error - Encryption Failed and contained a button called- factory reset.
When I click the button the device powers off and reboots in recovery and do a hard reset with lots of error. However after doing so there is no effect on the error.
Please help.

First I wiped cache partition
It was done without any error.
Then I selected wipe data/factory reset. I got this-
--Wiping data......
Formatting /data.....
Error mounting /data!
Skipping format......
Formatting /cache....
Formatting /sd-ext....
Formatting /sdcard/.android_secure......
Error mounting /sdcard/.android_secure!
Skipping format....
Data wipe complete.
Even with this error I again installed Indian Firmware using odin and there was no change.
Plz help!

do you also change some settings in odin like checking or unchecking the re partition option ??
also by default is re partition checked or unchecked ??
I have already tried different different options.
My Custom ROM count is over 40.
Nothing has happened yet.
So please help.
Which recovery do you have??
Latest ClockWorkMod
I have updated my Moto G a day before, Lollipop was Officailly released. First I have updated Lollipop from Link 1, as this updates has some bugs, so I restored data. And after some time, someone posted the official OTA, so I tried to updated it from Link2. Then after some operation, it showed, Installation aborted. Then I wipe cache partition, after starting Moto G, it is stuck at Motorola Logo, tried everything like restoring data, wiping cache etc.
Now, regretting why I have updated manually and also tried to update it again from the Link2. :crying:
Please suggest solution for this Problem.
Nexus on bootloop tried every method ,most of them . Flashing new factory image is also of no good. Cleared cache , factory reset and still on bootloop. Will be grateful for any help.On flashing lollipop factory image it gets stuck on boot loop and on flashing KitKat factory image or using any custom ROM like cyanogenmod it gets through boot but is unable to detect sim and apps like play store and camera keep crashing and refuses to open.

Follow method 2 of this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=47156064. If it doesn't work try re-locking your bootloader and rebooting. Does it stay locked?
Sent from my Nexus 9 using XDA Free mobile app
it seems that you need to fix persist partitionhttp://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/general/guide-to-fix-persist-partition-t2821576
Hello people, the problem begin when my phone battery died, i didn't have a charger on me so it stayed off for almost two days, but when i charged it up, i wasn't able to boot it up, it got stuck on bootloader is unlocked screen. (i had bootloader unlocked for quite a time when i rooted my device)
so i went into bootloader and then to recovery (which is twrp 3.0.2) i tried to wipe cache etc and reboot again but nothing happened.
then i tried to do factory reset from recovery but found out it actually did nothing . it showed success sign but if i go into backup option of twrp i can still see same space taken by data / system / cache etc.
i tried everything to wipe data as when flashing any rom it gives error of "incompatiable data, please do a factory reset or change package" but no luck
However i didn't format data in internal storage from my pc (although i tried adb) as it get's recognized as usb device
I also tried to do factory from bootloader but it gets me stuck on bootloader screen again.
I used adb to install my stock firmware found @ here https://forum.xda-developers.com/mo...t1039-moto-g-4g-stock-firmware-kxb21-t2805619
I followed all the steps and it actually showed success/OK after everystep except first two , but neither stock recovery is back nor my phone boots up and even after wiping data from adb, all the data is still there.
Please help!
my device : motorola moto g 4g x1039 peregrine tesco cid 07
