Hi guys, i want to change default wallpapers before installing a custom rom, where are the system wallpapers located? I found only one wallpaper in the framework-res.apk/res/drawable-nodpi-v4 named default_wallpaper.jpg but i'm not sure (there are other drawable folders with default wallpapers, but i don't see those when i try to change wallpapers from the launcher).. Where are the other wallpapers?

I've not looked into it in the new GEL launcher, but historically it was always part of the Google Launcher apk

I don't have google launcher in the rom, it's installed via play store.. so in the framework apk there is only the default wallpaper right?

There will be another launcher on there. For example in AOSP, it has another Launcher, Launcher2 or Laucnher3 or whatever. Its actually impossible to use the phone with no launcher. Basically whatever launcher is built into the phone should contain the wallpapers

The wallpapers are in both those apps, so whichever one you have, they're in the apk.
Glad I could help.
Default system wallpaper is located in system/framework/framework-res.apk/res/drawable-nodpi-v4/. All other wallpapers are part of launchers.

Hi, while searching apps on google play store I found this miui home for gingerbread roms..So i am sharing the link of google play. It is free.
Google Play Link:-https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.miui.mihome2&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5taXVpLm1paG9tZTIiXQ..
I have made transparent status bar for miui home. One is stock system-ui.apk and other system-ui.apk is having 14 toggle mod. Rename it as SystemUI.apk and move to /system/app with permission rw-r--r--.
This transparent statusbar also work with go launcher and holo launcher. U can check for other launcher by your own.
There was a thread related to MiHome started by TheFrankenstain but it was related to ics only so i am posting for GB.
a newbie question,
I must be rooted .. right?
&
do I need to deodex or wtever it is called my phone 1st?
or just set permission & replace the SystemUI.apk ..
yeah, i know .. newbie~
u must be rooted and deodexed, too.
by the way the last screenshot must be from an ics device, due to launcher.

Hi
I recently got my nexus 5 and I installed CM 11 on it yesterday...
I am still trying to figure it out..
I know I suupose to have the option to select between launcher and launcher 3.
I got only launcher 3, and I was wondering is there a way to install the stock launcher?
Thank you!

Which GApps did you install? I think when you install the full GApps, it replaces the stock AOSP launcher with the Google Experience Launcher. If you want to keep the stock launcher, you have to install a version of GApps that excludes the GEL.

Could you refer me to good gapps that give me the option to choose between GEL and Cm launcher?
Or at least only GEL?
I am almost 100% that in the older versions of cm you could choose between the launchers...

If you do not want the GEL you can delete the apk from within the zip.

FULL MODULAR PACKAGE
This package is identical to the Google Stock Package above except that it does NOT include Google Keyboard, Google PhotoSphere Camera/Gallery, and will not remove your stock/AOSP Launcher, Keyboard, Browser, or SMS App.
In addition, it also includes Google Bookmark Sync. If you don't have a Nexus device and/or prefer to use the stock/AOSP apps, this package would be perfect for you.

Stock wallpapers are part of the launcher (compiled in the apk) and not just pictures sitting in a folder.

Yes it is possible!
Do you mean the App Drawer in Launcher or the background of the APK?
In the Launcher it is transparent!
You have to decompile the APK and recompile and then replace the background with an encoding in the XML! Since I'm not even so new to LG G3 and am also on odex files I need to be smarter with LG G3 first !!

The nice thing about the new Google Now Launcher is now that you can make memories by voice.
Say okay Google
Tell memory set and then you will be asked what you want to save as a reminder.
Test!
okay Google
set Reminder
refuel
10/25/2014
Do you want to save the memory / YES done without using finger !!

Moved libs, changed permissions and installed both apps but I can't choose to use the launcher at all. Isn't popping up as selectable on the default launcher popup. Any ideas? Google Now works fine.
Hi, I want to have transparet app drawer like in Android L iwth white icon.
I found this file extracted from L, but it can be installed over the original lollipop launcher and I want to have both.
Maybe someone can help me with that and try to edit this file to install with different name like launcherL to not replace Google Now Launcher ??
Editing the package name, my knowledge isn't too good on that, but I know it requires decompiling the APK and editing the Android Manifest file.
As to installing KitKat's Google Now version on Lollipop, I don't know how that works since Lollipop uses a different Google version. You can give it a try though. [emoji14]
Google Now Launcher (Google Search) is obfuscated, therefore you won't be able to change the package name.
If you wan't transparent app drawer on Google Now Launcher you have to install Google Search app from 4.4.4.
Hi, I am also testing what you want to do. I am being editing all "Velvet.apk" and try making the app drawer being transparent.
For the 'all apps' icon or launcher, there is no problem to edit it.
Maybe it is the way to install it as normal launcher like Nova etc. to not replace original one..
