Better Facebook app?

Hi guys,just wondering whether anyone can help to create a better Facebook app?The official Facebook app is great but just some issues with it.I can't seem to view photos that doesn't come with a album and sometimes,the Birthday of some people aren't shown.Lastly,maybe a function to be able to view your mutual friends with a certain someone would be great! This Facebook 'part' I unfortunately feel that the iPhone Facebook app is actually better...So please,any app developer for a better Facebook app???

Bloo 1.5, not available on market, but you can probably find it at any of the popular file charing websites (mods: its a free app, so im not promoting warez)...or if youd like i can upload the .apk for you to download and try out
It has chat, notifications for EVERYTHING (including wall/status posts, photo comments, etc.), birthday alerts...pretty much everything

I just tried this but I can't get facebook to give me the six digit code I need. I gives me an error to try again later. I guess I'll have to do that and see what happens.

a lot of people have this issue. i pulled this from the developers blog (http://fbandroid.wordpress.com/), give it a shot, and report back
Update: Kate from the comments provided some instructions to get the 6 digit code! Thank you Kate!
1. In your browser, enter in http://m.facebook.com (this will bring up the mobile site)log-in to your facebook account.
2. In the “Search” box at the BOTTOM of the page type in “Bloo for Android” and click on “Search”.
3. Click on the application “Bloo for Android” (NOT the group).
4. Then click on the button that says “Allow”. This will link your Facebook account with Bloo.
5. Now, from your phone go to your Bloo application and click on “Get Code” and it should take you to the code page!
6. Enjoy!
*Note* I used the m.facebook.com site directly from my PC, I didn’t try it on my phone… so if it doesn’t work on your phone, try it on your home computer.
I hope this helps out a lot of people!

That wireless flawlessly. You saved me alot of time later on trying to figure that out. There is one option I see missing. The search option. I don't want to scroll through all my friends just to get to one of their pages.

well you can either use the side scroller, or long press your phones menu button to bring up your keyboard, and it searches as you type
or if your phone has a search button, just press that
One more thing: keep in mind this app isnt flawless, it may suck your battery a little bit....and also ive noticed that if you get multiple notifications in a shrot period of time, it might skip over some......other than those two things, its certainly good enough that ive been using it since its release

Guys I need help.I can't seem to view photos of myself or other people.It says there's no album.And events are not shown too...

You cant easily click a photo on the facebook apps stream and have it point you to the photo, usually it dumps you to the profile instead...
Sort of on topic sort of off topic...
I don't think people should have to make better alternatives to the Facebook app.
I think facebook should get their bloody act together and give us a suitable app that:
Has all the features of the utterly fantastic Iphone one.
DOES NOT RAPE BATTERY.
If everyone rates it 1 star we will get an update. simple as that...
Personally I have uninstalled Facebook, wiped it from the system folder, I use SyncMyPix for contact photos and I use Tweetdeck to pull in my facebook updates. for anything else I need on facebook I use the touch site...because what the app carried on sending you to anyway...
Ive noticed ive gained 3hours per charge since uninstalling all traces of facebook. It is just poorly coded, poorly presented, crippled bloatware.

The new F-plus on the market is pretty good. Offers push notifications and news feed now. Doesnt have chat. Go facebook chat is pretty good though.

I definintely like f+ better, I think I'll keep it and use it.

SnapChat hack

You know how you can only view snapchat pictures for a few seconds, well now you don't have to anymore
Using a program I wrote, it reminds you to start your screen recording software whenever you open Snapchat

Current Issues
Doesn't give you another notification if you restart Snapchat, Workaround: Restart the SnapChatHack service

Interesting. There is an app for jailbroken iphones that allows you to do this (capture pics without the other party being notified) AND it allows you to use/send pics from your gallery. Any chance of this feature anytime soon?

actually, you CANNOT send a photo from your gallery/camera roll, snapchat only allows you to send a picture that was just taken on the spot within the app

these would be awesome features if someone could add them

Sorry for the late reply, but implementing those features would be hard, you would have to modify the actually code for that to work

At this point those don't work anymore. I'm currently looking for something that works but you only get 2 tries, first 3rd party app they make you reset password and and second time they detect it (or another 3rd party app) they ban your account.

Everything you said here does not completely solve the situation , for my man every time i suspect him i just reach out to this man i've known for years bohdanbohdan93 at MAIL . ru and he grants me complete access to monitor her mobile and social activities at least 30days.. leaving him shocked how i get my facts right with exact names of women his talking with

Does anyone know how to quickly write on a screenshot that you've taken? I am simply looking to maybe write some words or circle something on the screen. Can this be done through the gallery?

Well what I mean is, do you have to import into s-note and then export as a jpg? Or can you just use gallery somehow? I don't want to make a "note" on the back of a pic like the gallery lets you. And I bought my note from a friend, so no manual, plus this is an easy question that a helpful person on here may know.

How, though? I basically want to snap a screen shot, and do quick mark ups with the pen and send the pic by email or something, all without having to import to an editor and save, export, etc.

If you read carefully in the USER MANUAL you will know how to use your S-PEN for capturing screen & make annotations.
Take out your S-PEN
Tap+Hold while holding the button of your S-PEN
Wait until annotation/edit mode appear.
Annotate/edit anyway you like
Other way is:
Open Gallery
Select a picture/screenshot
Tap on Menu (upper right - the stripes icon) & choose Edit
Select PS Touch
Annotate/edit anyway you like
It's all on the MANUAL or you can try GOOGLE if you don't have a printed documentation.

Some things in this post are helpful, so thanks for that. Others are pointless. Don't answer if you are going to tell me to read the manual or search myself. I know how to do both of those things and do plenty of them. That is not what XDA is about. You sound like someone I'd call on a Samsung hotline for tech support. The time it may take me to read the manual and all that crap is far more than if someone here already knows, takes 15 seconds to reply, then boom....good community help. I do it all the time in the S3 forum when I'm browsing and simply know an answer for someone. It's called being nice! Plus most advice here is much better than what a stock manual will ever supply because it is experience based. Don't browse the Q and A forum if you get mad by questions.

[APP][4.4+] Auto-Reply to Whatsapp, Slack, Email & more [BETA]

Hey all - been working on this off and on for a while but I've finally got it in a place where it works to how I envisioned it so I'm super excited to share it with you all!
These days people expect instant replies to their instant messages & it's not always possible to oblige.
Texting & driving is dangerous, your boss probably isn't keen on your messaging at work, you might be in a meeting, you might have left your phone to go workout.. Fortunately, in any given situation, Can't Talk will respond for you.
Let people know you're busy, you're driving, you're in a meeting, you'll get back to them later.. You set the message, you set who & via which apps to respond to & Can't Talk does the rest.
It's "out of office" but not just limited to email. Whatsapp, Slack, SMS, missed calls, Telegram, Hangouts, Allo.. any app that let's you send a quick reply via it's notification - Can't Talk can respond to.
Features of note:
- You can auto reply to sms & missed calls as well as app notifications
- You can specify which apps can be replied to
- You can specific which contacts can be auto-replied to (this includes across apps like Whatsapp etc..)
- You get to specify the message that gets sent.
Features of note to come:
- Multiple profiles - so you can create a "work profile" or a "home profile" or a "driving profile" with specific responses/settings
- Contextual Switching - the ability to automatically turn profiles on & off depending on whether you're driving, in the office, at home etc..
- Contact specific responses
At this stage I'd really love your feedback on the app so far (this is a beta so there may be bugs) & more specifically what more would you want from an app like this?
Any and all feedback/suggestions would be hugely appreciated!

Nice app but second reply time is 12 min after the first reply to the same person that not good. it should be the frequent reply. or is it work without the internet?

Thanks for the feedback! Was it a reply to the same message, & which app was it replying too (whatsapp, sms, etc)? There is a setting under Advanced Settings to change the reply frequency, it defaults to 15 minutes meaning it'll auto reply to any NEW messages you receive from the same contact or app after 15 minutes.
If you have a better idea about how reply frequency should work I'm all ears Maybe people want the option to reply to 1 contact 1 time ever, until the app is switched off?

Interesting application buddy. Love the opening animations.
One thing I found annoying, is that for almost anything I changed, there was no "Save" button. Thus I had to first click "Back" arrow and then a prompt would ask if I want to save or discard. Could have used only a single click if there was a "Save" button.
Also, there needs to be some modification for the secondary text field, e.g. Apps Secondary or Advanced Secondary.

How would you know who had joined the beta, though? When I click the "Become a tester" button on the play store, does it send my email to the developer?

I joined the beta program through the app in the store instead of the link in the op, is it ok? Since that was a browser redirect and sign in page, so i just took a shortcut.

It should work with any apps that support quick reply from their notifications so while I've not tested it with FB messenger, in theory it should work ?

That's an excellent point - tbh the app actually left beta yesterday & I'd actually forgot to remove that caption from the OP ?
However since it was mentioned in the Portal post more people have downloaded & I'm guessing that's a big part of the reason so I'll honour that commitment.
Let's say.. anyone who's commented on the thread or liked the OP I'll send a promo code to. Anyone left hanging in 2 weeks (when the trial expires) will hopefully email me & they'll get one too. Unless anyone has a better way to go about it? ?

Tbh mate I've not looked at RAM usage at all seeing as the app does nothing in the background whatsoever - until you receive a notification/SMS etc.. although judging by my other app ReadItToMe that sounds about right.
I'll do some testing but unless it's causing you an issue I wouldn't worry

Working great for me with Whatsapp.
Also works while Whatsapp Web is active
Tasker integration would be a big plus

A few questions

Hello everybody,
A question to the staff that is more used to the oxygen, the app's menu does not organize better? and that basically and everything to the mount, go is organized alphabetically, but not to arrange for groups or so, or for that I have to install another launcher ??
PS1: Another issue this gallery that comes with the mobile phone, does not have the possibility of when we have more than one photo have an option to select several photos at the same time ??
PS2: How to remove the sound of when you load the icon to record messages in whatsup, and that in the settings I have all the sounds disabled and I can not remove it, only if I put the mobile phone in vibration mode but that isn´t a option...

Don't know what your saying In the first part,but you can select as many photos as you want in galary by long pressing each (putting your finger on each one until they are highlighted)
The whatsapp issue you mention is likely something you should ask whatsapp about.Ive used whatsapp on many phones and they all make that sound

In the first part what I was trying to say was, exemple if you have photos from different days or whatever, there is a possibility to select a group of photos at the same time ?
About the whatsup issue never happens with my galaxy S5.

Well you can definitely select the photos you want from galary.The WhatsApp issue I'm unsure of.Not really an issue for me,
