The cases are availabe now. I just ordered the surface case & belt clip combo.

Do tell once you get it. I'm interested in well, but I will wait to hear from some of the early adopters. The pictures online look more like design drawings, not actual photos of a note edge in the case.

Just received my surface case/belt clip combo. I really like it so far. Not to thick, not too thin. I'll post some pics and a short review after I get home from work.

seidio case and belt clip
just received my seidio case and belt clip.... loving it ... not bulky and great fit for the note edge...just what i've been looking for.

I will be ordering one too. I have the Verizon clam-shell case and it is very inconvenient to put the phone back in since it is "loaded" sideways. I'm afraid I will drop it putting it back in!

Belt clip holster and case
Installation is easy. The case comes in 2 parts that slide together and interlock.
Kickstand deployed
Imo, Seidio did a great job. The case is of very good quality and is lighter and thinner than my Casemate pop case. The case itself is made of high impact plastic, with a soft tough rubber coating that feels wonderful to the touch, providing a smooth but good grip. The belt clip holster is made of similar plastic as the case and has a soft felt lining inside to protect your phones display. The belt clip also rotates 180 degrees to the left or right. Your phone can only be inserted face in, right side up. The kickstand is metal and feels sturdy and tucks away flush in the case when not in use. Only complaints are the high price and i wish the kickstand was a little wider.
I give it a 9 out of 10 with 2 thumbs up:good::good:

OK, I ordered one from Android Central tonight. The combo was only $44.95! (On sale I guess) Thanks for posting the pics.
I've had Seidio combo cases in the past and they have consistently been my favorite in function and quality.

Question....I have a right angle headset cord. With all the cases I have so far I had to modify them to get it to stay in firmly. Anyone know if this one is more right angle friendly?

Placement of the mic holes
I have the Verizon Note 4 that I'm swapping out for the Edge. I also have the Seido combo for the Note 4 and the microphone holes on the bottom of the phone don't line up as Verizon slightly changed the placement of the mic. Which variant do you have and if it is the Verizon version, do the holes of the Seido case line up with the mic holes of the case? Thanks in advance.

sold american!
This is just what I have been waiting for. A sturdy case with a kick stand that is not bulky (like the other 3 I purchased). I ordered just the case for 31 bucks off android central. It will be here in a few days. Thanks for yhe heads up.

My case came in the mail saturday .. This is THE case that I haave been looking for. Its thin, adds little to no weight and has a freaking kick stand! Thank you for the introduction to this product .. :good::good:

I just received mine today that I ordered from Newegg last week ($35 for the combo). Overall I have to say this is my favorite case so far ( had a $10 one from Amazon when the phone first came out and the Incipio dual shock pro since that was released).
It is much slimmer than both, which also allows me to use my right angle cord for my headphones(beats-Android version). The kickstand is awesome and its holster is much better than having using the note 2 otterbox, that fit well-but the clip kept breaking...this one is much more sturdy. The buttons are also cutout and are much easier to use. It's also easy to pop on& off, so if u are a spare battery person is a breeze.
The only downfall I see initially is that it is a little slippery for now, but I feel like that will go away as I use it more.

Have to give Seidio Case / Holster combo a + 1 ! :good:
I have used Seidio cases on my last 3 Note series phones, and they have all held up well and are great quality. I had a cheap bulky holster combo on until I received this case, and it REALLY made this phone usable again without the bulk, JMO. I just can't keep a phone in my pocket...

Sorry for not being quicker on this... The microphone holes line up perfectly on the top and bottom of the Edge phone using the Edge specific case and holster.

Galaxy Note Edge Case, Verus [Thor]
This case is absolutely one of the best cases I have put on any phone very slim, tight fit and offers very good protection. To top it off it is $19.99 now on amazon! I would have gladly paid $40 easily. I just ordered a gold one when I want to switch from my black one!

Otterbox or Ballistic Case

Hi,
I would really like to get your opinions on which case I must buy for the Infuse. I've always use the Otterbox for my previous phones and now, I just saw the Ballistic HC/SG cases. After reading opinions on the web, it seems that they both offer reliable protection.
My question is : What case would you reccommend? The Otterbox Defender or the Ballistic HC/SG Case? Can you provide the reason also?
Thanks!
I have the Ballistic case. It's a bit bulky and weighted, however, it's a great case. I've never used the otterbox so I can't compare the two. Basically, if you want your phone protected I'd recommend it, otherwise its a turn off because it covers up such a beautiful phone. You lose the slimness and the lightness of the phone with the case.
I have both and in "my opinion" the Otterbox is by far much better fit not as bulky side buttons are easier to use and built in screen protector is better.
Thanks for the reply. The Ballistic has some bumps on the 4 corners which seem to protect the phone if ever it falls. 1987dram, does it feel big in the pockets? Also, is the silicone on the Ballistic loose and comes out at time - it seems there are small holes on the rubber case for the silicone to grip, but isn't that loose?
I have a Zagg shield on my screen, will it interfere with the Ballistic protection screen?
I have both so here is my input. If you want a case that is pocket friendly Oterbox all the way. One thing I hated about the HD case is that it would stick to my pocket when I took it out and put it in. Another thing that pushed me away from the HD case is that stuff would always get inside the screen protector and I would have to clean it daily. I have never had that problem with the Otterbox. So basically if your constently droping your phone go with HD, but you almost always have to use the holster because it is NOT pocket friendly.
Edit: Forgot something.
On the HD case the little holes only get loose around the corners. The Otterbox has a ridge design that goes all around the case preventing that. You would also have to take the screen protector off your phone or the screen protector off the case or you will get water marks.

otter box or ballistic
I also have both and I ended up selling the ballistic case. The fit and finish on the the otterbox is better the ballistic case ( the outside wrap) If you take your phone out more than 2 stretches the case. And because of the button parts I had to trim the rubber inside for the volume rocker. Just my .02 cents.
Thanks for everyone's input! I'm going for the Otterbox since it seems to offer better protection and is more appealing to look at.
not the ballistic case
it fits loosely and the buttons don't line up very well
otterbox is quality
I have the Ballistics case and have tried the otter box. I have the Ballistic with clip just because the phone is too big to put in my pocket. I dont know you some of you got a bad case or i just got lucky, I take my case apart to clean every weekend, I have no problems with the rubber stretching or coming out of the holes, if I want to put in pocket I can take the rubber off. The under case is plastic with no rubber, so sticking in my pocket is no problem. I know the cheaper version of the case has rubber with plastic around it but not on the corners. I dropped my infuse 10ft off ladder onto concrete, no damage to case or phone, bet you cant say that with the otter box. I use a screen protecter on my phone also, no bubble issue either. No button issues. I say Ballistics case all the way, but that my opinion.
The otterbox is the way to go I have had the balistic and the diffender and the defender is the way to go IMOP

1 question again, which hard rubber case is made up of higher quality material : Ballistic HC or Otterbox?
Otterbox difenter has the better build quality.

I had an Otterbox for a year on my HTC Evo and loved it. This time around I went with the Ballistic HC case because it's two cases in one. You can leave the big rubber on for super protection or off so it's smaller and slick looking.
I love my Ballistic HC case and I wouldn't trade it for any other case on the market. The material it's made of it better than what Otterbox uses. The rubber is much nicer IMO.
I paid $50 for it on Amazon. (I opted for the next day air shipping because I'm impatient) http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005BTBGEO

BALLISTIC ALL THE WAY!
Returned three Ballistic cases due to poor button alignment.
Used/use BodyGlove soft gel with Platinum holster most often, but did purchase Otterbox Defender finally when it came out from Buy.com for $27.99.
Otterbox fit is perfect like four previous models I've own/own, but for some reason the screen cover seems to be more succeptible to scratches than earlier units.
Called Ballistic CS about button alignment and they acknowledged issue with some batches, but would only tell me to "try again" by returning to store.
Call Otterbox about problem and they'll send entire replacement with no questions.
Thank you ...........ز

Both are good, But i found Otterbox is good and much effective compared to ballistic cases. Check this out, I bought one Otterbox Cases from sfplanet.com where i got 30% savings in its original price by using the coupon code "OTT30OFF" and free shipping also!
I have the ballistic case and do not like it. It seems to nearly double the size of the phone and the front plastic window distorts the screen. Additionally the rubber outer sleeve does not fit well and comes loose in places. Also it makes the side buttons nearly impossible to use. Hope this helps.
I really like the Ballistic. Saved my phone a few times.
But as was stated, it's hard to use the side buttons. What I did was slip a real thin piece of cardboard between the rubber power button and the Infuse's power button. Now all the buttons work perfectly. You may have to adjust the position of the cardboard.
I'm planning my escape from the digital world!

[GUIDE] DIY kickstand case - perfectly stable in portrait or horizontal

So, I'm a kickstand case kinda guy. Not horizontal kickstand though, I like the PORTRAIT kickstand! So I can go to my local pool hall, set the phone on the table, and see anytime someone texts me. And even type a reply text without ever picking up the phone.
You just can't do that with any current Galaxy S4 kickstand case.
At least not as well as the kickstand case I had on my Galaxy S3.
http://www.qmadix.com/snap-on/metalix-snap-on-cover-samsung-galaxy-siii-copper.asp
I had the black/red one and it was nice looking. But the kickstand was PERFECT. Not only was the phone super stable in portrait, but also horizontal.
There are some kickstand cases available for the S4, but nothing that comes close to as perfect (IMO) as the S3 case was in portrait mode (standing up, not sideways).
So, I tried several S4 cases and they all sucked. Every single one broke pretty quickly and none were overly stable. My old S3 kickstand case lasted a year and the kickstand in it still worked perfectly. It was just solidy built.
Anyways,I decided to just build my own. A DIY kickstand case.
First, I went to Kickstand4U website and ordered their add-on kickstand.
http://www.mouseglider.com/kickstand4u_tm_intro.html
Then I went and found my old S3 case for about $10 on eBay. It was an UGLY color, but that didn't matter. All I wanted was the kickstand from it. These cases btw, all have either a matte black kickstand or a white kickstand.
Then I compared the Kickstand4U (left) vs. the S3 kickstand from Qmadix (center, with new S4 Spigen case on right).
As you can see, the Qmadix kickstand in the middle is larger in size, made for large phones like ours. And it's going to be more stable than the smaller Kickstand4U. I really hope Kickstand4U eventually makes a larger kickstand because otherwise, I really liked the quality & build of this kickstand. It also had notches that let you select an angle for the kickstand.
So I proceeded to take apart the S3 Qmadix kickstand case.
Then I cut out the kickstand from it.
My Dremel is old & wimpy, so I used a high power Ryobi instead.
But any newer, decent Dremel with cutting wheel will work just fine.
Then I sized up the cut out kickstand.
Then I cut out a suitable sized hole into my new Spigen Slim Armor case.
You'll note the kickstand itself is larger than the hole in the Spigen.
This is so I have a mounting surface to glue them together.
Then I used epoxy to glue the kickstand into the Spigen case.
And then I cut out a hole from the Spigen inner rubber case so the kickstand would fit and not bulge out.
I also put scotch tape on my battery cover just to make sure the back of the kickstand doesn't scratch the battery cover.
What you see in the pic is the inner rubber case, then the outer hard plastic case, then the large black part in the middle is the kickstand that's glued to the outer hard plastic case.
As you can see, the inner part of the kickstand mount and the cut-out of the inner soft plastic case is perfectly level.
So no buldging at all!
And voila. I'm freaking happy as hell. Finally got a well built, great working kickstand case.
Next time I'll slow down and make the cutout a little nicer. I learned a few tricks I can apply next time.
The cool thing is you can buy any color shell you want by itself from Spigen for $10.
You don't have to buy the whole case over again. They let you buy the shells by themselves.
Wow, that kickstand is so nice when it's built INTO the case rather than stuck on top of the case.
You can hardly see the kickstand coming out of the case.
Total cost:
Spigen Slim Armor S4 Case = $18
Qmadix Metallix Galaxy S3 case = $10
Epoxy = $3
------------------------------------------------
= $31 total
damn thats sick good job

I'm going to head to a hobby shop later today or tomorrow to pick up some 1/8" trim to make the cutout appear more stock looking.
It's hard as heck to cut out a perfect square.

LMAO, thanks. "Quide". sheesh
Btw, I was actually going to do this with the Otterbox Commuter case. But Otterbox put their name in HUGE letters right where the kickstand needs to be mounted. So it would have looked kind of bad. IMO.
Do-able, but a little off looking. You would have seen "OT____OX" with a kickstand in the middle.
FYI, the pic below shows the other two kickstand cases I tried on the S4.
The one on the right was more stable in portrait mode. But it was absolute junk and broke on the first day and nothing fit very nice.
The one on the left was nice as an everyday case. But the kickstand was not very stable in portrait.
I actually had two of these types of cases. The kickstand on both was designed poorly. Always falling out of the case.
The first one fell out so many times that it just wouldn't stay in any longer.
I also tried many kickstand cases on my S3 that I didn't like, such as Body Glove, Seidio, Spigen, etc.

The other nice thing about large portrait-mode kickstands is they make great carrying handles.
Kind of like what this item below was designed for.
I just slip the kickstand between my two middle fingers and everything is stable in my palm.
No needing to "grip" the phone.
This makes one-handed operation of a large phone much easier.
And also a good shoulder cradle.
Nice work!
Gesendet von meinem GT-I9505 mit Tapatalk
I struck out at Hobby Lobby in my quest to find material to make a super nice looking "trim ring".
I have a CNC friend. I may ask him if he can make up some precision cut CNC aluminum 1/8" x 1/8" trim rings to go around the kickstand cutout.
If he goes for it, would anyone else be interested in buying one or two rings for their own kickstand project? The trim ring would be for the kickstand itself, so it would work on any case you used the kickstand on.
If the cost is reasonable and he has the downtime, I might have him work up a trim ring for the Kickstand4U also, since it's a really nice looking kickstand and smaller in size, so it may be more attractive to some users for certain cases.
After all this time, I still liked the case so much that I went and made another one for my new phone.
I had better looking results with my new Note 3 case.

Help me find a note 4 case with holster!

I need help finding a case that has a belt holster, the phone is too big and too hard to put into my pants sometimes and is very frustrating. My note 2 I used the platinum case. However I would prefer a more 'gel grip' case if possible.
Edit: Must be white!
Yes let me know too!
Yeah I would be interested too. Maybe just a holster as I like the case I have already.
Buy the pelican case through AT&T. Best case out by FAR
I ordered 2 through amazon. The Encased and Cellbee brands. Waiting for them to arrive to seenif they are any good.

i have this in black. its not bad. plenty of protection, built in screen protector (at least till there are some decent glass ones, then its coming off or i'll get a uag to go with it. i cut off the dust covers to the usb and headphone, i just dont like them on any case. i'd rate it a 6 or 7/10. i prefer uag though.
it comes with a holster. not as good of one as say otterbox, but it works and keeps it secure. just not as fluid in and out of it.
Too bad that it must be white. My Seidio Surface is perfect for me.

I'm looking forward to getting my Surface today but even more forward to Seidio releasing the Convert add on kit so I can order that and their Quest car mount.
I think you'll like it. I had the Speigen cases just to get by, and paid more than I needed to for the Seidio on Preorder overnight, but man the thing is almost perfect. I added a flygrip to it which makes it complete for me, obviously not for everyone, but certainly functional. Wish I got just a plain black flygrip, but will have to manage for now.

Eventually when Best Buy gets them they sell the Surface w/ holster for $20 less than Seidio. It's called their Platinum series. But I needed some protection 2 weeks ago when I got the phone. This Seidio Surface is the 4th case I've ordered, the first three orders were cancelled. Between that and the glass screen protector issue it has been a real PITA trying to protect this phone.
My Seidio Surface is junk. It feels cheap around the edges, doesn't seem 100% snug, plus the the top section and the bottom section slide around a little bit at the connection. I am really disappointed in Seidio .

If mine fits like that I'll send it back. If I wasn't able to turn the Surface into the Convert model I never would have ordered it. I think it's way overpriced and underfeatured. Doesn't even have covers for the side rocker switches let alone dust caps for the headphone jack & mini USB port. For $35 + freight to me that's too much money for what the case offers.
to me it has the feeling of a cheap case made in china bought off ebay. ..
Why not look at getting a leather type case that will fit the phone with a case. That's what I'm doing. I have the Incipio case and ordered a leather belt pouch to hold it. I prefer a belt clip, but I am hesitant to use Seidio anymore since my Note 2 days. I had the Surface for the Note 2 and it scratched the heck outta the phone's frame.
I've had better luck with rubber base cases. On my Note 2, I switched to the Otterbox Commuter with its rubber liner and was scratch free. That's why I'm trying the Incipio 2 piece case that has a rubber skin and a plastic outer shell like the Otterbox Commuter.
Thank you all for all of your advice, I am going with the last option of adding a clip that will be detachable. I have to have white, I just don't like the black on white...being that my phone is white... So I ordered this case.

I'm a modder at heart. So most likely like the guy above did with the clip on the case, however I'm doing research currently to find a way to remove it so the clip can stay on your belt.
Something like this, but even more low profile..

Best Samsung Galaxy S4 Case - Protective Cover +

Best Samsung Galaxy S4 Cover - Protective Cover - REAL REVIEW - 720p @60fpsIn this review I did an unboxing, and explained why Samsung's Protective Cover is better than Spigen's Neo Hybrid Case. Before I got this case, I thought that Spigen's Neo Hybrid was best, but after less than 1 year of usage the side cover of Neo Hybrid broke up. There were also some other problems with the Neo Hybrid case which I showed in this REAL REVIEW.

I used this case in my device but I like more the Otterbox cases in terms of durability, The Spigen is easier to put on and take of but the Otterbox are made for tougher life. I use my device to do sports and I must use a case that is hard enough and not too bold to fit in my pocket.
I like this cover a lot. It has many adventages. It fits perfectly meaning buttons corners. It has cutouts in perfect places and with right shape. The back is made of tpu harder plastic which makes it quite tesistant to drops and hits. Tje sides are made of silicone which makes it nice in touch. Only thing problematic is that the back could be more sticky to avoid sliding outta hand. The rear cutouts for camera and speaker have small raise ups to help avoid scratches on camera glass and provide the possibility to jear spealer when the phone is on its back on desk or something. The front has like 1mm stick out part ariund screen which saves hits on tje gorilla glass when you put it upside down. The cutout on back for camera has a wall of material between it and led flashlight to male it more stable and avoid bigger rocks or dirt to get to camera glass. It looks lile it
I purchased the Spigen Slim Armor View good case. but.. the sview door broke in two months
Im a big fan of the www.lowprocases.com samsung s4 case. Its slim and make my phone look bad ass. Easily get asked what phone I have. http://static1.squarespace.com/stat...e12/1425585170209/samsungs4b.jpg?format=1000w
I had this case for my old Note 2. Great case, but I don't think the TPU edges offer enough protection from drops. I rock the UAG or Speck Candyshell. Amazon has it the green one for $3.50.
Pknockle, no one cares about your sh!tty cases.
i bought one of those before but it was a very tight fit, and when I put on my wireless receiver, it made it really tight and the buttons did not align. I use a simple roocase bumper case and a UAG case now. Both work with the wireless receiver .
hi, I wanted the armor Spigen slim but given the feedback, too fragile

I have one and I haven't had any problems with it. I do notice some lines in the plastic forming near the bottom of the buttons where I can see it breaking eventually. That's only because I take it off to switch batteries a couple of times a week. The case gives the phone a very solid sturdy feel and the rubber absorbs impacts very well. I've dropped it a few times and you can hear that the impact was absorbed.
Otterbox Defender
I used Otterbox Defender for the past 2 years, got it after a week of using the flip case that i hated. Its very durable but its not with flaws, after 2 years (i have no complaints or regrets), the screen protector / plastic is too scratched i just pull it off (im using a tempered glass anyway so no problem.. The rubber jack covers and port covers gives way as well.. and recently the side rubber also rotted more and more but it looked like Rick Grimes in Walking Dead, old and seasoned... haha.. it survived heavy usage as i practically bring my phone everywhere lol and my S4 practically looked brand new because of my Otterbox.. i would really recommend Otterbox if you're looking for heavy duty cover and if you dont mind the bulky appearance.
I have this case too. Bought a Spigen thinking it'd be better but it just added unnecessary bulk and didn't feel as good.
nice case
I use Spigen cases
still prefer bumper cover.. this case makes the phone bulkier..
thanks:good:
I personally think the Speck candyshell grip is the best case for any phone out there. You can't beat it. Great aesthetics, amazing grip, very slim/light, and fits perfectly on the phone, and not to mention, a very tight fight for the phone, giving you a ton of confidence that the case won't come flying off if you drop it.
And shout out to the body glove tactic case for the s4. The only other case that comes close to the Speck grip case, and on certain days, prefer it over the candyshell. Never thought I'd find a case as good as the Speck grip case.

I have a new candidate for best case for this phone. Body glove tactic. Less grip than the Speck, but still gives a good amount of grip, and what I love about this case is how slim it is when holding the phone. Feels almost as slim as a naked Galaxy s4 (not quite, but as close as you can get with the amount of protection you get with this case), and not as wide feeling like the spigen slim armor, or the Speck. The specks not even wide feeling, it's just that this case is so lean.

Nice case to look at, and very protective, but too wide, and doesn't have any grip.
If you want an all around great case, go for the speck candyshell grip, or the body glove tactic. Me personally, I'm done using cases. I'm not gonna sell or trade my phone at this point, so really don't care anymore if it gets a few scratches here and there. I'm still using a screen protector though, because the screen is the most important thing on the phone. Besides, I'm really careful with my phone, and probably dropped maybe 2-3x in the entire 4 years if owning this phone.

Holsters for LG V30

Similar to the LG V30 "cases" thread -- but specifically for belt holsters/wallet style holder for the LG V30. I do NOT like to stick my phone in my pants pocket, where's there's car keys, coins, etc that may scratch the display. Even with a bumper case, I also use a belt-style holster for my smartphones. My wife uses something similar to stick her phone in her purse, to protect against all the metal objects in there. We both have TPU bumper cases for drops. This is for additional protection when not using the phone and means to carry it.
These are my search parameters, but you can change them... You can narrow to type of material, design, whatever. Right now there's almost a thousand search results and that will probably only increase!
LG V30 HOLSTERS: EBAY LISTINGS -- LOWEST PRICES FIRST, FREE SHIPPING, BUY IT NOW, WORLDWIDE SEARCH.
SOME of the belt style holsters do attach to the back of the phone, so there may some overlap in the "cases" and "holsters" threads -- but I thought this category is also important as it's not the bumper cases or even hybrid cases.
EXAMPLES:
Leather Sideways Holster/Case for Cell Phones COMPATIBLE WITH Otterbox Symmetry (or Otterbox Defender)

Here's a leather belt LG V30 holster that is wide enough to also let you have a bumper case on your phone. Just specify in the drop down menu how big you want "Otterbox Symmetry" big or "Otterbox Defender" big? Of course, prices change, but that's the price right now.
Here's the rugged nylon type my wife likes:
Luxmo Vertical Holster Belt Clip Pouch Holster/Case
$5.95 with FREE shipping
Just specify in the drop down menu you want LG V30.
I usually do the seidio surface/holster combo but they are not out yet.

Hey, thanks for that. I will not buy this phone without a holster -- I need it for work -- and I hate the thought of running the V30 with an ugly case. Your setup might do the trick until a case-free holster is released.
On that note, I chatted with Seidio and emailed Encased.
They both told me there are no current plans for naked holster (Sedio "Spring Clip" series and Encased "Case Free" series). But the V30 is getting enough strong buzz that I'm counting on there being demand for it.
In the past, I've compared dimensions of other phones and found holsters that were a close enough fit to hold me over. I'm not finding a good candidate for this phone.

While that may be true, other phones are selling more. no holster sorry.
Hi
Hey Now! I've got my chosen combo.
For the holster, I picked up the Encased Duraclip that Steve841 linked to above. Note that unlike the Seidio Spring Clip, which has a great and easy to use mechanism to "clip in" and "clip out" the phone in a very fluid motion, this particular Encased holster requires the phone to be slid in lengthwise, and it's a friction fit -- there's no positive latch.
I also tried out faux leather holsters by Goalany and SumacLife from Amazon. The Goalany unit was too room -- it could handle a 3/4" phone or a thick Otterbox case. The SumacLife was a good fit, but not the swiftest to get the phone out.

I ordered a bunch of cases to try out. Didn't like the Ringke Fusion clear. It's two pieces and as shown in other posts, is going to yellow. The Ringke Onyx was acceptable but I'm not a fan of the raised edge along either side of the screen. The TopAce Ultra Thin was probably my runner up. The case that came with the Encased holster is hard plastic and durable, but interferes slightly with my Tylt Vu charger (I have to slide the phone about 1/2 inch up the incline to get the charger to activate, then I can let it sit in the cradle properly and it charges no problem. Oh -- all of these cases worked well with the Encased holster.
The case I ended up with? The Lumion Huey. It's pretty minimal. The case is every so slightly raised along the top and bottom edges of the phone, but its edges sit a little lower along the sides, unlike the others. It's a compromise of protection for usability. It slides very nicely into the Encased holster, about the same amount of resistance The design along the back reminds me of the Pixels. I really like how they created a symmetric cut-out for the camera and flash -- this design decision makes the other cases look weird. The sides of the case are every so slightly ribbed in the long direction for grip, while enhancing the slide-in / slide-out properties of the holster. All of the cutouts are excellent with the exception of the audio jack, which is just slightly off (visible, but less than a millimeter).

As an aside, I wasn't too sure what to expect of the Huey, but it showed up in a plastic retail display package that looks like it should cost more than the TPU case contained inside!
Just seen this on encased. I am ordering one now.

Ah, thank you but curses! Also available on Amazon for $16, I see.
I have five holsters for other phones in front of me, delivered yesterday from Amazon.
I was just minutes away from transplanting the spring clip from a Seidio iPhone 6 plus holster onto a Seidio holster for the Nexus 6, which would have given me the perfect fit for my V30 in its slim Lumion Huey case.
I'm ordering the Encased holster now, but I'm going to hang on to my collection of others until I receive it, just to hedge my bet.
I am just excited for a spring clip. I absolutely dislike the ones you have to slide. The horizontal clip seems way to finicky. Sometimes I have to use both hands to get it out. So it is an definite for me to have the spring clip. I asked them earlier if they were going to have them and they told me no. So I was pleasantly surprised to see this.
Well poop, the Encased spring clip holster arrived today and it's s no-go with the TPU case I'm using.
I'm sure it's fine with the big, clunky., ugly hard plastic case that's included. With TPU there's a 1/8 gap between the screen and face of holster; it rattles around like mad.
I think I'll have to go with my hybrid Seidio setup of the iPhone 6 plus holster and Nexus 6 clip.

I don't think the case that came with it was too bulky. But at least the hole for the headphone jack is a little better than the other cases I have. It looks to be off a bit still. But even having smaller cases, I still don't like the wiggle but at least it won't be in my pocket. I dislike having my phone's in my pocket. The spring clip is a must though.

I'm using at Lumion Huey TPU case, and it's very similar in dimensions to the other TPU cases I ordered up, made by Ringke and TopACE.
As long as I can find a way to get Seidio's pin removed from, then resecured back into the spring clip hinge, I'll be golden with their iPhone 6 Plus holster for the V30.
Frustrating.

You might need a link remover like for a watch band.
My Supcase Unicorn Beetle Pro case has a holster. It's ugly and oldskool 90s like but it's there. I just use it as a stand though for watching videos.
