[Completed] [Q] Posts keep falling into Q&A; Edit signature - XDA Assist

I know that when you have less than a certain amount of posts all your posts are moved to a Q&A section. How many posts do i need to prevent this. Also, would like to create a signature. Do i need a certain amount of posts for this as well? If so, how many? My profile shows that i only have 4 posts, but when i look at all my posts i have 10+.
Thanks in advanced.

Hi there,
Please read carefully this thread about your concern: Postcount limit in developmental fora

[Q] Why can't I acces the Market place forum?

The 10 post limit is supposed to be only for the developer section, so why can't I post into the market place section, I need some advice on buying a new smartphone...
Great...and now the forum about buying in the Marketplace sub-forum completely disappeared
PS: Why are there so many limitations? I like this forum but 5 minutes between posts??
After 10 posts all the limitations are gone. No captcha, waiting between posts or restrictions viewing/posting to forums. I'm a new user too and understand that on a forum as massive as this, something has to be done to prevent all junk posts filling up this place.
Just be patient and make some helpful replies in Q&A area.

Annoying rule

The rule that someone can only post messages to some discussions is in itself understandable.
However....
When a new phone does not have its own section, it is discussed in developementsection.
In order to be able to contribute to this specific discussion (Alcatel OT-995 phone) i have to waste everyones time to blabla 10 times about things nobody is waiting for.
This is number 3 btw
You don't need to tell us how many posts you have made, we can see.
this is 317 btw
If you wish to have a question or query posted in the development section, please read the thread I Will Post Your Question In The Dev Thread IF....

Please post help and troubleshooting requests in the Q&A section

Please post help and troubleshooting requests in the Q&A section
Here are some general guidelines on where posts should be created:
- If the question involves a help or troubleshooting request that benefits the OP directly, post in Q&A.
- If the question is open-ended and intended to generate a general discussion on some topic, post in General.
There's a large grey area, but use your best common sense judgement to decide where to put the post. All misplaced posts will be moved accordingly.
Please read the forum rules. They are done to improve XDA-developers.com and for you to get the best of this great community. Not following this rules you show disrespect to any other member.
1. Search before posting.
Use one of our search functions before posting, whether you have a question or something new to share, it's very likely someone already asked that question or shared that news.

Click to collapse
3. Post only using a clear subject and message.
You're most likely to receive a helpful answer to your question if you use a short subject title that describes your problem and a message that explains in detail what your problem is and what you've tried to solve it.

5. Post a message only once.
As a large forum we don't need unnecessary clutter, You're free to edit your message as you like, so if you do not receive an answer revisit your message and see if you can describe your problem better. Not everyone is online at the same time, it might take a while before you receive an answer.

15. Keep posts/threads on-topic
Whilst a minor amount of off-topic posting may be overlooked, the general rule is your posts / threads must be relevant to the Forum / thread in which you are posting.
General Forums - For news and announcements pertaining to your device.
Q&A Forums - For all question threads / posts. If there is no Q&A forum use the device General Forum
Accessories subforum - For posts related to accessories relevant to the phone model
Development Forums (ones with the word development in the title)- For developers to post release threads e.g. ROMs, Kernels, and mods.
Themes and Apps Forums - For themers to post themes and for app announcements and discussions.

Question & Answer section is not a place where everyone can open a new thread with the own question. It is needed to search before, read the sticky threads, read the wikis, read and read once again, and post in an existing thread, if necessary. Repetitive topics will be deleted/closed without previous notice. Topics like 'urgent help' or 'do I brick my phone?' and so will be deleted/closed. Infractions issued to reiterative members. Remember XDA-Developers.com is about development. Thanks for your cooperation. Best regards,

[Q] Need help on posting my query in developer thread

Hi,
I installed Zelly Cream ROM by Gagan and have issues to report. But i'm not able to post my issues in his ROM thread because im not 10 posts old.:crying::crying:
Im sad for not being able to get assistance from the developer for the issues im experiencing. I also have some nice +ve feedback for Gagan.
Its no point in preventing a user of a ROM, Kernel & ..... to post their views.i think
can someone guide or redirect me to the correct thread.

Please Read: New members (those with fewer than 10 posts) are not permitted to post to development-related forums. The developer forums are intended for experienced users and developers to discuss ways to improve technical aspects related to ROMs and Software. While you may be an expert, we ask ALL users to avoid posting questions about using or installing ROMs and software in the Development Forums. To encourage this new Users can read but not post in these forums.
To ask Questions about developing your device, installing ROMs, software and themes you must go to the Q&A or General Forum.
Remember, your question has very likely been asked already, so please search before posting.
Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
So better go to General/Q&A sections and just try helping out the fellow XDA members by helping them answer their queries, thus improving the number of posts.

thanks techpick,
I have read this post by admins and understood the restriction.
But, wt I thought is, as a user of Zellycream ROM, I should be able to post by feedback, issues etc regardless of the number of post i posted in XDA. initially thot of sending a message to the developer bt reaslised it may spam his messagebox.
I understand that this rule is to stop noobs and unwanted flooding of dev threads...but there are many posts in different threads by noobs n inappropriate comments, just because they are morethan 10 posts old.
I felt somehow its unfair to stop the users to post their views about their experineces.
now i have to post some or the other threads just to be >10 posts member.

The 10 post rule may seem unfair but it is set up to protect the best parts of xda...the development forums. It is really important that you try to make your first 10 posts count and not post 10 useless posts of spam. Here are a couple of guides: 10 post guide:

I am going to close this thread, because typically these kinds of threads get trolled pretty heavily.

[Completed] More that 10 posts and still showing 2 posts

I'm note being allow to post on rom treads, saying that I need to have more than 10 posts and I have 14. can someone help me?
Stand by...
Update:
Hello,
The reason your post count is low is because posts made in [Q&A] threads such as this thread where QA Bot, Guest is the author of the thread do not count towards your post count.
Looking at your post history in your profile most of your posts are in these types of threads...so those posts will not add to your post count.
Hope this answers your question,
