Had anyone found a retailer that sells either version the z3 for AT&T on contract or Next? I'm on Verizon and today they lost my business permanently. I want this phone but T-Mobile is no good in my area. I need to change to AT&T but I didn't realize they don't sell it. I need to buy one for me and another for my wife so buying them outright is really not an option. Thanks!

AT&T doesn't currently offer any Sony phones on contract and haven't since the Ion about three years ago.

Thanks! I was hoping to find a third party selling it like Wirefly. Sometimes they sell phones not sold by the actual carrier but I haven't had any luck

Sony Store appears to offer financing. I bought outright and use on AT&T (wife and myself) and its great. Also paying about $50 less per month because of it. So you could probably finance it out and pay about the same.
Expansys-usa is where I bought mine. Anyone who walks into a phone store and buys a smartphone is stupid (imho). Unless of course it's the cheapest one they sell.
As long as you're the account holder just call them and have them send you a nano sim card. Once you get it call back and activate it.

I went to Future Shop, Bell and The Source for a Sensation and none of them wants me to walk away with a Sensation FULL price without a contract!
I don't want to pay more then 550$ so the negri sites + other is not an option.
If ANYBODY knows where to buy it IN A STORE, (to pay credit) let me know!
Thanks again!

"The Phone Booth" at Sherway Gardens sold me one no questions asked. I had it home and unlocked from Bell in a few hours!
I got mine from the Bell Store, had to sign up for a 30 day plan. Tons of paperwork, don't do it. Futureshop/Bestbuy should be able to sell the phones unlocked in a week (according to the staffs experience)

Are you a T-mobile customer? If you are then they are in the wrong for not selling you a phone off contract. If your not a T-mobile customer than they can deny you the sale but nothing happens to them if they do. Just all depends if the persons being a **** and how much they have in stock.

Having previously worked for bell it is one of there rules is a phone needs to be registered to an account to leave the store. You either need to have an account (in which case it should be easy) or keep going in hopes to get a misinformed employee. Try small phone booths as well.

Yes I am a tmo customer. They told me they had limited quantities and they were reserving them for new contracts. When I called tmo to complain they called 2 of the stores and the one guy straight up lied to them and said they didn't have any in stock when 5 minutes earlier they did. And this was at 10th am when they opened so I doubt they sold all of them from the time o called until when tmo cs called them

I got my Sensation yesterday at Wireless Wave in Erin Mills Town Centre. No problem buying it outright with no contract. Unlocked it at home, and using it on Telus.
Got my locked virgin sensation!
Now how do I get a legal unlocked bootloader??? (want to keep my warranty)
I purchased mine from Best Buy outright without an activation. He even checked in his computer to make sure that it could go out the door without a plan. If it helps at all, I got mine from the Best Buy store in Markville.

How did you unlock it at home?
I realize this has nothing to do with our phones but maybe someone can help, which is better? Why? Thanks in advance!

I don't have Sprint, I have T-Mobile, but FWIW I opted for the black tie over the Asurion plan (whether you have Sprint or T-Mobile or AT&T or whoever, your insurance is still likely through Asurion).
If I lose my phone I'm SOL, but I feel I'm far more likely to break it or have water damage that I'd want covered, which Black Tie covers no questions asked with no deductible.
Also recently my back button started freezing up on me, so I took it in to Best Buy and they just ordered me a new phone and gave me a loaner to use until it gets here. So worth it.
Before anyone buys a phone from bb, do your homework with your cell company. I've seen many times, with sprint phones, that bb's price is considerably more expensive than buying it from the provider. I'm not talking about signing a contract, I'm talking about buying the phone outright full price. I've seen differences in price that were in upwards of $100 more for buying it full price at best buy.
Thanks Matt, Oscar the grouch I was asking about the insurance but thanks for the input

I have sprint insurance and I love it, but if BBC give you a loaner that's cool also. With SPRINT if you live by a repair shop (I do) it perfect

What I'm saying is don't go to bb just because of black tie and buy a phone. You might be paying more than you should. That was for other people that might be considering what you're talking about in future purchases.

If you want a refurb or quality used unit from a reputable supplier try eBay seller alltechwholesale. They are the company that powers eBay instant sale and handles trade-ins and returns for large companies such as Radio Shack. I have bought many devices from them, including my mint condition G2X for $255 plus shipping, and the condition is always better than they state in the auction description. I am in no way affiliated with this seller other than being an extremely satisfied repeat customer. Plus if you buy this way you can do a T-Mobile value plan with no contract and pay less per month. If you don't mind a contract the refurb units on TMO's site are now only $49.99 with online discount and rebate, and new ones are currently $149.99.
I'm not buying it on contract, I'm coming from Canada and bringing it back to use on a Canadian network.

Then try the eBay seller listed above. Units in very good to mint condition are going for $250 to $280 (some still in boxes), depending on the bidding. $10.99 delivery to Contiguous USA addresses only. I got mine and had it reshipped to
Thailand. Got the unit for over half less the new 2Xs sell here for in Thailand and got the Vanilla Android and GB also. New 2Xs here are still sold with Froyo also with GB nowhere in the sights.
Why don't you buy a Wind Mobile unit? There are the same exact model, P999, with no TMO bloat.
Cant find it, can you post the link to the seller please?
And i dont want the crappy LG overlay i want vanilla android, and i heard the wind optimus didnt get gingerbread

Just go to eBay, do an advanced search on seller for "alltechwholesale". All of their current listings will come up.

So I just lucky enough to win the bid for a used but new conditioned HTC Sensation 4G in January for $200 on ebay. I've been using the phone ever since and just 3 weeks ago when I called T-Mobile to make some changes to my data plan, they told me I was eligible for the premium handset protection plan for about $8 month and it will cover anything that's wrong with my phone at all. I, of course, took that offer within a heart beat to protect my phone that wasn't purchased from T-Mobile at all.
About 6 days ago, my phone suddenly started overheating (stock rom/stock everything) and phone just shut off after it got so hot and it didn't even charge or anything. The phone was COMPLETELY dead. I then remembered that I had the premium protection so I called T-Mobile and they quickly processed a replacement and they gave me a HTC Sensation 4G BRAND NEW. So not only was I lucky enough to save money on a used phone bought on eBay but I technically got a brand new condition of it for the same price... $200...
My question is. How was I even eligible for the protection offer. From my understanding, you can only be eligible if you purchase the phone directly from T-Mobile and of course the previous owner probably purchased directly from T-Mobile but still, how was I eligible? Because if this is the case, then I'll just start buying broken phones off of eBay and then get a protection plan and get a free replacement in new condition...
I work for T-Mobile and we were offering php as open enrollment but it was only to be offered if you received a sms for it ..... yes your very lucky keep the plan

I am not on Tmobile, but on Sprint. I always purchase my phones on eBay, I once purchased 2 HTC EVO 4g, one new in box, the other used. Both were eligable for sprints insurance for $8/mo. I have turned the used one in for insurance twice and subsequently sold it to a friend who also got the insurance.
I know I am not on tmo but both companies are just trying to make the extra $96/yr per person so I don't think the purchase source matters.
Just my thoughts

makes sense but then again, people can abuse it and purchase broken phones or make false claims and get the replacement.
I bought my sensation on ebay as well and had the same question. The way it was explained to me by a tmo rep is that the warranty is for the sim card, so as long as you have that sim card in only 1 phone the warranty will cover it no matter what the phone is.
