How can I set Volume buttons to control ONLY "Music, video, games and other media"?
Hi, there's one thing I really hate about Smartphones, and it's the Volume button and it's function. Sometimes I accidentally press it and the phone goes from Mute to Sound, it changes the volume of the ringtone, etc.
So, If you go to Settings, Sound, Volumes, you see:
1. Music, video, games and other media
2. Ringtone
3. Notifications
4. System
I want that when I press the volume button, it only changes the volume of "Music, video, games and other media". I don't want it to change the mode of the phone, or the sound of the ringtone or whatever.
What can I do?
By the way, I have a Samsung Galaxy Core II with Android 4.4.2, though this is a generic question. THANKS!

Solved!
I did it installing Xposed framework and GravityBox, so awesome.

Volume rocker?

Is it possible to make the volume rocker *only* control the media volume? I keep my phone on vibrate, so I never need to change the ringer volume, but I find myself accidentally adjusting it fairly often when I want to change the media volume. I'm running rooted stock 4.1.1, and I do not want any widget solutions. Is there anything I can do?
I thought media volume was only able to be adjusted while media is playing and through the sounds section in settings. Only time notification volume gets adjusted is when media isn't playing.

:good:RATE in Google Play as many [STARS] as you can..
This was exactly what i was searching for, but the vibration on triggering is a deal-breaker for me. If you can remove that i could use it. Also, it doesn't disable the long press volume control, and instead it thinks it's a lot of two-presses, hence it skips a lot of songs in one go.
I'm using a Galaxy S3, stock rom, with Android 4.1.2 and the stock music player.
It doesn't work with my brand new S4. I have 4.3 stock ROM using Power Amp

Problems with volume

Hi
I installed JB and I have one problem with volume configuration
when I set normal mode, the multimedia volume is on, so I can listen videos. When I turn ooff the volume, with the power button, the multimedia volume is still on...so, what I want to say is that the control of multimedia volume is independent of the mode of the tablet (silence, vibration or normal)
how can I do to set off volume tablet & multimedia, and how can I set on together?
Thank you

Notification volume?

I'm getting desperate about the notification volume thing. I'm using volume butler but it's not reliable, especially when switching to DND mode and back. Sometimes my ringtone is very soft while the notifications are really loud.
Looking for a final fix for this, my phone is rooted. Is there some build.prop that can be enabled or a magisk mod?
Hello, you can use Button Mapper here in XDA.
You have the option to use ringtone volume instead of media volume with the + - button.
You can also make applications exceptions. I use that with play music while I use Chromecast.
That's work without root.
Regards.
I used Tasker and set up tasks that sets levels for everything in four different volume conditions... Vibrate, Low, Medium and High. Within each task, I set Alarm Volume, Media Volume, Notification Volume and Ringer Volume. I also created a pop-up to tell me what profile I just set.
Then, I created individual widgets on the screen that are simply shortcuts to the tasks - one for each volume condition. Tasker comes with that widget built in. When I want to change the volume on my phone, I just tap the icon for the volume I want.
It doesn't override DND and it sets the volumes exactly as you want them every time.
