[Q] android development on my phone, is it possible?

Hello,
I have a motorola milestone 2 and was wondering if it was possible to setup a development environment on the phone itself instead of having to write the code and package it on the pc before installing it on the phone.
Sorry if it's a dumb question, I'm pretty new to the whole android world and couldn't find amything about it on google.

the monte is a mobile phone (yes, not a smart one) released in 2010 as a successor to the Samsung Star which gained popularity in 2009. the monte has a single core underclocked 311 MHz ARM 11 processor with 128 MB of RAM.

Devlopement Status:
development of montedroid started as a response to the success of porting android 2.1 to Samsung Jet. The actual android os for monte is ready, but without the bootloader it is nothing. Now the project is abandoned, and the project site changed to a porn site. THE kernel, Android OS are ready, but the creator of the bootloader went missing.

I can' t promise you anything, but by porting the os to a mobile phone, you can make history. Or you can get hired by Samsung.

is the same processor but i dont know if is the same characteristic

guys i need your help plzzz guide me and do me some favour .......now i am moving towards my last year ...pllzzzz give me some idea that my final year project should of what kind .....i am beginners toward android developer and want to take and develop some android application as my final year project...i already have start learning about android development ...sp plzzzzz help me around this problem i am not getting any idea so plzzzz suggest me something ....thnkssss in advance

AND if you are very good at android development then you can also start building ROMs and Kernels for your current android device - but this a very complicated process so many people usually stay out of this.... And its risky too, because experimental kernels and ROMs can also brick or damage your phone!

China Star N8000 MTK6582 compatable with LMT launcher

hi everyone just to let people know that the chinese device "china" star note 3 N8000 MTK 6582 is compatable with the latest version of LMT launcher...and as per all info your device must be rooted first before installation.
if anyone is a noob to android devices,(and i know i am as i have just been gifted my first ever smart phone this feb),and you need help with rooting your chinese device then head on over to "youtube" for some excellent tutorials.
the most helpful and clearest tutorial i found was by "ITXtutor" who has his own website dedicated only to chinese devices,(although they do sometimes help with other types),titled "Chinadevices" and his tutorials cover most problems and software including..rooting,CWM,flashing ROM..etc,etc....
And finaly may i point out that the latest version of "LMT launcher" is extreeeemly user friendly and of course i must give a big shout to XDA's very own "noname81" who took the time to give us all the LMT launcher info...have a great day.

I do not wish to use rom's, DESIRE TO LEARN how is installation
system from android without using SDK Rons I think.

Each device has its peculiarities that should be noticed before installing a O.S. Even, as a learning playground, you will surely need to experiment with your own device. Given your report, we could not determine the Manufacturer & Model of your device in order to better approach your request.
I will have to ask you to create a new Thread where you could be as detailed as possible regarding your devices information and needs.
