[Q] Auto read/preview incoming texts - General Questions and Answers

I just purchased a Martian smartwatch. This watch allows basic texts and other info come thru my HTC one phone to the watch. Works great. When someone texts me I can see that text on the watch...BUT if I don't go into my phone and mark that text as being read, then the next time someone texts me I only see on the phone 'you have 2 messages'. I was hoping/wondering if there was an app or setting that would automatically mark each text as read or previewed on my phone so I could then see every text on my phone without having to grab my phone and do it manually. Hope this isn't too confusing.
thanks

Show time of old text messages

Hi, just wondering if there is a way to get the time and date to show when reading old threaded text messages. The time shows for newer messages of that same day, while older messages only show the date. Any suggestions? Thanks!
BTT...I am in search of a solution to this as well. I occasionally need to go back and see what time I sent or received a text, and it is frustrating to see nothing but the date on older texts.
Does anyone have a solution to this?

[Q] Two Generic Android Questions - Advice Please!!

What can I do with THESE Android-specific issues?
1. Mass Texts. If I send three of my friends a text, it goes into a thread with all three of their names on it and a group icon as the contact. Bizarre! On other phones (my old Touch Pro) it updated each person's message threads with the individual text. What is the deal with Android?
2. Pushing the Phone button, I got "Keypad, Logs, Favourites, and Contacts". First I might say that "Favourites" is interesting because no where else on my phone does it use British English. I wish it did, but oh well. Anyway, Logs displays everything my phone has done, and half the time the people's pictures disappear from it. You CAN filter the logs, but only by "Missed Calls, Dialled Calls, Received Calls, Sent Messages, Recieved Messages." I want to sort them by All Calls, and no messages.
Now, under Contacts, I have a "History" tab, where I can view my logs for Calls, Messages, Emails, IMs, Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter." That will display what I want. Why is that tab not identical to the one under the Phone button? How do I remedy this problem?
Thank you for your help anyone who reads this and have a Happy New Year!!

Droid X Texting problem

In my Droid X text app, if I receive a text from someone that was texting to more than one at a time, I get the name or number of the texter, and, all the numbers he was sending to also. If I answer his text, it will send a copy to every number he was texting. Then I get texts and calls asking me who I am and what I'm talking about. The new VTexting program from verizon has a checkbox to Not reply to all, but it does anyway. I can't find anyone with this same complaint on the forums or the net. Also, if I write a text with 2 or more receipents, a message is displayed that says "Allow Reply All" ,with a very small green circle with the letter i in it. What the heck?

[Q] Disappearing Text Messages

Hi,
Have a Samsung Galaxy Core. As of this morning, any text messages I try to send just disappear from view as soon as I hit send. The recipients do appear to receive them (I tested on a coworker), however there is no record of them going through on my end in the text conversation. Very frustrating as I'm not sure if they're going through all the time and there is no record of them. They literally just disappear as soon as I hit send. Spoke to my provider (Telus) who advised to download something called Samsung Kies, but the software doesn't work (can't connect to my phone). Can also no longer access the Play Store.
Has anyone had this problem and successfully managed to fix it?
Thanks!

Incoming text messages cut short

I have a Pixel 2 with Sprint, stock. If I get a text that is too long, where it would normally be broken up into multiple texts, I never get the rest of the text. I wasn't too concerned with it until I needed to set up Gmail forwarding to my text for an alert, and Google sends the phone a verification code. That code was cut off halfway through and the rest never comes in. Same thing with having twitter forwarded to my phone, I only get 2/3 of the average message.
I have played with the settings in both android Messages and the phone settings but I cant find anything that makes a difference. I have also tried switching my default messaging app to Facebook Messenger and it still cuts it short, so I have a feeling this is either a phone setting I am not seeing, or a carrier issue.
