i remember reading that the trackball is multi colored and you can change the color and flash mode similar to how a sidekick works.....i have yet to see this on the phone in any menu...is this indeed possible and is it possible for someone to pump out an app for it? given the characteristics of the "white" light that the trackball emmits when notifing im almost positive its a multi color led underneath (or seperate RGB LED's)
*EDIT*
here is a link to the article i read it in, its in the 3rd paragraph

i assume u know how to decompile the apk... 2 ways to do this you can do it in the xml the part that refrences the background image it also has the dpi settings for the background in it color what not u can add the transparency setting for it to..
or you can take your image in photo shop or equivlent and change the layer of the image to transparency and then adjust the hue of the transparency to make it lighter or darker depending on the color save it and put it back in the apk
Wow dang thats easy... man thank u bra im about to try it ....!!

Without a full ROM change is there a mod or method available to change the background color of the 2 soft keys from white to say red or blue? Are the LEDs even capable of multicolors like the notification light?
I'm 99% sure that the lights are just white. They shine through whatever the phone color is and that's what makes them look different colors

You can not change the colors. It's a physical limitation, not a software limitation. They are not multi-color lights.

Not on my phone but on this website. I like the colour orange a lot. I like the orange theme used on this site except that it clashes with the ultra-brilliant-gloss white background. Makes it very hard reading the orange text.
I know that some forums allow the users to select a different colour scheme... is that possible here?
Other than that XDA is great.
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. I'm afraid it's not possible to change the colours.
I'm going to close this thread.

I've buy a Cubot X9 and I enjoy this phone.
This smartphone have a notification led and the stock firmware

To get more notification colors.
Someone can help me to modify this?
