Trackball colors? - Nexus One Themes and Apps

i remember reading that the trackball is multi colored and you can change the color and flash mode similar to how a sidekick works.....i have yet to see this on the phone in any menu...is this indeed possible and is it possible for someone to pump out an app for it? given the characteristics of the "white" light that the trackball emmits when notifing im almost positive its a multi color led underneath (or seperate RGB LED's)
*EDIT*
here is a link to the article i read it in, its in the 3rd paragraph

yellow background color

is there a way to change the irritating yellow sprint colors to something less obtrusive?
I did read somewhere where someone was able to change it but was unable to find it.
There is, I have it but cannot paste onto this answer.
Search for Blue Focus Highlight, either on here or PPC Geeks. There are actually several colors, I just chose this one.

need colorblind app

point camera at color,
push button,
phone reports color it "sees"
any takers?
Hell yeah, great when I'm shopping and can't decide if that damn shirt is purple or blue, or red or green
this would actually be a lot more complicated than your statement makes it out to be.
unless the photo is of a solid color with no shading or highlights of any kind, the camera will recognize all possible variations in all shades of the one color.
A programmer would have to call every highlight and shade of a single color as "RED"... I/E: Sangria, Burgundy, Rose, Crimson, etc would all need to just be "RED"...

But I'm colorblind! How am I supposed to tell if the traffic light is green or red if I don't have this app!!

Well, yes it is complicated, but narrowing the area of concern (like our own eyes' center of visual acuity) down to the central few hundred pixels of the photo, and then applying a histogram to the colors, it should be fairly obvious what is the dominant color. you could get exotic and report fancy color names (periwinkle). Even neater, interface this to voice, so the phone says "red", etc...

Could you imagine using an app like that to decide wether to stop or not. "Oh the light changed, where is my android? Hey why is that car pulling out in front of me? Will this dang program ever load? (after 5 nano seconds)" Nope, don't think this type of smartphone app would be effective. Plus for driving, the positional reference would be better (thanks to earlier poster).
i had seen an app on the market that claimed to tell you the main color the camera picks up... ill search tonight see if i can find it again
ok by searching camera color i have found a few
Color Detector uk 1.19
What Color? us $0.99
Color Blind? us $1.99
Retina euro 1.00
the one i had found before was a free app, guessing it was one listed above in beta stages. hope this helps you
I found "This Color What color? Free".
This app gives you the HEX code of the color that the camera has on the center of the screen. Maybe someone can build us an app to translate that hex into an audible color name.
Edit: Go to AppBrain and search for "camera color". You'll fine at least 5 good apps that you can try. I will be testing them tomorrow!!!

It is just a colored theme I guess. I know the themed Multitouch KB's are around here but this one is sick. I tried installing on CM6 and it's a nogo...
Asides from the color scheme this one is also transparent (or appears to be anyway). Normally when you go landscape it blocks out the existing page so, for example, if youre replying to an email in landscape you can't simultaneously see what you're typing and what you're responding to.
This MOD is the tits if we can get it

You know, that's what's always bothered me about typing in landscape, the text field and KB completely cover the screen.
I wonder if we could make the text input field transparent. Not completely but maybe like 50% so you can still see the page behind it. Although the text field will still take up the whole top half of the screen so it wouldn't change function at all, I just think it might look cool.

[Q] Is there a plugin for Chainfire3d that allows editing of *default* RGB values?

Chainfire3d thread (I cannot post to it due to my post count): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1087427
I love this app and the custom rgb night mode I created. I'm trying to emulate the f.lux settings I'm using on my laptop but I don't see a way to edit "day mode", i.e., the default rgb values that display when night mode is turned off. I'd like to tone down the green just a bit and the blue a bit more than that.
Also, it would be nice if I could enter exact values rather than using a calculator to input <desired value>/255 to get a rough percentage to approximate with the slider.
Does there exist a plugin for either of these things? Thank you.
Not sure if the rules allow for thread bumping, but I've read them and don't see anything, plus it must be better than creating a whole new thread, so ... /bump.
I would PM the developer but he says he does not respond to PM requests for app support.
OK, if this is in the wrong section or something could someone at least tell me?

[Q] Weird Color Correction

Does anybody else have weird color correction features? Its like a real time color changer that switches back and forth between all bright and all dark colors. I only notice it when I'm watching videos. I have my brightness set to a specific spot and I have tried both color correction options in the display section.
I saw someone else complaining about something similar on the nvidia website. Google geoforce forums and that will get you to the shield forum there. I would post this there so maybe a moderator will see it.
