Hello,
I have been trying for the last 2 days to install the PurePerformance Mod without success.
I have a Asus Zenfone 5 4.4.2 KitKat T00J WW with the Philz 6.55 touch recovery CWM.
The first problem when flashing was a status 255 error which I think I solved by changing the recovery-update file by the one in my ROM.
Then I got the following issue:
set_perm: some changes failed E: Error in /sdcard/PurePerformances.zip (Status 7)
Can anyone help me please?

I am sure that mod is likely not compatible with your device. Where did you find it? Another device section?

It worked for my second phone (acer liquid e2 ) and it is supposed to work for every device, so the problem doesn't come from there.
I wanted to ask in the thread but I couldn't, I don't know why.

You'll need 10 constructive posts on XDA before you can post there. But I suggest you ask in the thread I linked above.
I'd say if it doesn't work though, it doesn't work. There's no such thing as a mod that works on every device . Or Android version. ?

Hi to all
I have a Samsung galaxy s6102 and some weeks ego I entered a code (*#*#2663#*#*) which supposed to update touch firmware but it failed and touch screen never worked again.
I couldn't repair my phone even by flashing ROM an kernal. I tried method mentioned in this topic but I discovered that screencast does not work on my phone,hence I used ADB shell commands to enter the code (*#*#2663#*#*).
unfortunately just after entering the code this error message pops up: "The application com.sec.android.app.lcdtest (process com.sec.android.app.lcdtest) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again"
I retried with different ROMs and got the same error.
I am wondering how should I erase touch firmware and flash new one and why flashing ROM and kernel do not replace this firmware?
It would be very appreciated if anyone suggest another solution for my case.

You'd be best served asking for help in your device section... This section covers your device model as well, just specify your model when asking for help and only flash files made for your specific model number, no other kinds...

i hawe tryed this file and the phone dosent do eanything after extrakting WWE_PadFone2_user_11_8_3_3_UpdateLauncher.zip and copying it to the asus Folder on the root of the fone

thx fore the help but thats fore the padfone 2 A68 i have padfone 2 A86 its the laitest one and i DL the file that is fore the A86 but when i put the file on the phone noting hapends the updater shold say there is an update fore the phone but nothingi tryed the root of phone and root of sdcard and ASUS/update/ but nothing hapends
its so anoing that i cant update whit the update file
You could still ask in the first thread... Just specify your model and don't flash anything not made for your model.

Generally to flash a kernel, you need an unlocked bootloader and a custom recovery, such as CWM or TWRP.

Following is the information that i know;
MAKE:Hcl
SERIES:ME CONNECT
MODEL:V3
ROOT:YES I ROOTED WITH VROOT
PROBLEM:Actually i was just downloading a song from internet but suddenly my touch screen became irresponsive and
after sometime the screen was all black.My tab has a small reset button behind it so i just pressed it and
everything looked fine but got struck with my boot animation nothing i can do after that ,the same thing
happened again and again.........
RECOVERY:I Have no CWM/TWRP only STOCK recovery but i still have access to it.
OS:ANDROID 4.1.2 JELLY BEAN
These are the info that i know but i can provide any info that you may need from me.Please help me xda.

Unfortunately with less popular and/or older devices... It can be harder to find help, as far fewer people use them.... Compared to the big name devices.

I'm a new user here. I ported a rome for my mtk6572 device . but the rome does have an audio bug. My loud speaker is not working , i replaced these (Attached Thumbnails) from stock rome but the bug not fixed yet ... what sould i do?

You should be asking for help in the thread you downloaded the rom from. It's likely a known bug. If you read back through the rom thread starting at the end, you may find talk about how to fix it.
Otherwise, you will likely need to flash your stock firmware again. You can ask for help here,
