[Completed] AT&T Galaxy S4 Issues, Is it fixable? - XDA Assist

Hi XDA Community and Happy New Year!
This is my first post after I came across your community on Google and I registered immediately when I saw the level of professionalism you guys hold yourself to here.
Here's the run down, I'm a layman at this. I barely have any technical knowledge of working with phones but I am good with computers so I guess the apprenticeship begins here.
My sister owns a Galaxy S4 from AT&T and for a few days prior to it ultimately shutting down for good (bricked?) the phone had been acting up and operating very slowly. I tried all options in an attempt to turn it on and nothing. I connected it to the OEM Samsung wall charger and nothing happens. I also attempted to connect it to my PC and there was no recognition from either the computer or the phone. This pretty much leaves me to think it's either an issue with the microUSB port or there is another hardware issue.
I've searched the forums and attempted what I could (powering on trouble-shooting methods) but because the phone won't even turn on, my troubleshooting options are extremely limited. What can I do from here?

Hi,
Yup, without any sign of life whatsoever, there will be nothing to do. Have you tried pulling the battery, waiting a bit and plugging back in? See if it will even try to boot. Or try another cable and charger to charge it?
Basically, it's either gone from software frying it, or its the phones port and it won't charge and is completely drained. Or power button could be dead.
Either way, you likely need a service center unfortunately.
You can ask for other opinions here if you wish,

[Completed] Note 2 not charging after flashing back to stock Rom with Odin

I have been using Cyanogenmod for a while, and after installing a series of buggy nightlies, I decided to flash it back to stock. However, once I did that, I am now unable to charge my phone. Now when I open Odin and put the phone in download mode and connect the phone it recognizes the phone and let me reflash it. However, the phone is not being recognized otherwise by the computer and hence it is not charging via computer as well (It is only being recognized by Odin when in download mode)
The only time I was able to charge it post stock flashing was just after I flashed it, but that's just once. It wont let me charge again. I flashed it again, the same thing happened, it let me charge for the first time post flash, but not more than that.
It also charged a second time post flashing when I left it plugged in to the wall charger overnight. When I plugged it in, it did not show any sign of being charged or any LED indication as well, but when I woke up in the morning it showed my battery had 100% (without the thunder sign on the battery icon, I removed and plugged it back in, it did not charge again)
Sometimes, when I plug the charger in, the LED glows, but the battery icon in the notification does not show a thunder sign of charging, however when I open the battery details, it shows the battery as charging, but in reality, the battery simply drains. This too happens only sometimes not every time when I plug the charger in
Kindly reply if anyone has any solution
Edit: Not sure if this was the right place to post this, would be much obliged if anyone can show me the right place if this is not it. Thanks!!
You will get help from the right experts if you could post in
Samsung Galaxy Note II GT-N7100, N7105 > Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
If you turn off the phone completely and then plug it into the wall then it has to charge irrespective of any software or Rom. If it still has a problem charging when powered off, then the Micro USB has gone flaky on the phone.
Thanks for the link

I have submitted it in the Note 2 forum as well. I have tried different chargers and USB cables, none seems to work
Since You have posted in the Right forum, that would be the best place for the right experts to help you.

[Completed] [Q] S3 Mini problem

Hi all,
I have a problem with my S3 Mini, which restarts on it's own, whether it's fully charged or near empty, and keeps restarting until I remove the battery. When I look at my battery consumption monitor, I see a sudden drop in battery level. But sometimes, after starting the phone and plugging a charger, the battery immediately shows 60% capacity. I'm assuming it is a battery issue, but I can't be sure. So, has anyone had the same/similar problem? Thanks in advance!
Hi,
It sounds like a stuck power button to me. But I'd ask for opinions from members who own your device, here...

Ok, thanks!
Thank you. Thread closed.

[Completed] Goclever r70 computer won't recognize

Hi! I have a problem with Goclever r 70 tablet. I bought it 2 days ago, and when I plug in USB cable nothing happens. Not even a sound for new hardware/device. It's not new, It's secondhand. What do you think, is this software problem, or there is problem with usb jack. I tried on several computers, tried even to plug in power source, nothing happens. If it's hardware problem, is there a way to fix it? Thank you...
Hi,
Sounds to me like it's simply your cable is bad. Try another one, or more. Or more serious, it's the port on the phone. That would be trouble. You'd likely need a service center to fix that.
I can't find anything relevant on XDA for your device and issue, so for other opinions, You'd have to ask here,

[Completed] [Q] LG L70 Dual D325 keeps shutting off everytime i lock the screen

First of all, hello.
as this is my first post on this forum, dont give me a hard time i really need help with this phone.
I bought it recently, without battery
Than i bough battery two days later, orginal one but not new one. First two days it just kep showing invalid battery, please insert orginal battery and than it just stopped. I can power on the device and it works perfectly while screen is on, when i press the lock screen button after a couple of seconds it turns off and starts booting again. Same thing while on charger, but when connected to a pc its works perfectly. I just dont understand this. I took it apart, no water damage, didnt even fall once, i think its the cellphone but i am not sure as i dont have another battery to test it or money to get a new one they are expensive in croatia, about 40$. I would really like to get this phone working. tried diffrent usb cables, diffrent ac adapters, lock button didnt stuck even once, but the charging time is really bad too. all night got him to 89%, is it possible that maybe battery isnt giving him enough juice to turn the screen on again after a lock? i just dont know anymore tried everything and help would be great. Thanks in advance!

[Completed] Galaxy Note 5 Clone Power Up

Hi,
I hope I'm posting this question in the right place.
Any way, I have a Galaxy Note 5 Clone (Chinese).
I really like this phone. For my purposes, I am happy with its performance.
There is one thing that I noticed that is really puzzling.
I'm going to list the process in steps:
1- I power off the phone.
2- Connect the charging cable either directly to my computer (USB port) or connect to a wall outlet through the charger.
3- The phone starts to charge and I get the animated picture of it charging.
4- After a few seconds, the phone powers up on its own.
This is the part I don't get.
Is this normal behavior for this clone or is there a setting somewhere that needs to be turned ON or OFF.
By the way, it is running Android 5.1.1
Appreciate any help in this matter.

Hi and welcome to XDA.
There isn't much information about device clones here. Try posting your query in Android Q&A,Help and Troubleshooting or in the friendly Q&A thread here->[Ask Any Question][Newbie Friendly]. Experts there may be able to help you.
