Hi can any help as it's driving me mad. I have a sony xperia tablet z late. With a locked bootloader that can't be officially unlocked. Is there any Way I can run a custom rom. As I have tried flashtool and it want would work. It won't even update the tablet to 4.4.4 with the time file is downloaded. Hope some one can help me.

Hi James,
best place to ask is in the Xperia Tablet Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > [HELP THREAD]Ask Any Questions! No Question is Noobish [NOOB FRIENDLY] thread.
There you should get quick and proper answers.
I found something about unlocking the bootloader here:
Unlocking bootloader tablet Z (Guide)
Unlocking bootloader
Usually you have to unlock the bootloader, then flash a custom recovery (CWM or TWRP are the most popular ones), and then you can flash a custom ROM.
But best to ask in the help thread for your device.
Good luck !
Thread closed and thank you.
Happy new year !

Hi, im new to this website and I need some help fixing my major screwup. I thought I could install TrueAncestor 2.3.7 and it put me on bootloop. I read a post on here suggesting I flash a relock bootloader ftf file (bootloader was already locked) and so I did and it didn't do anything! I have 15 bucks in the bank so this is my only phone for a long time! If anyone can answer me to whether this is fixable and give stupid me steps on how to fix his phone he shouldn't have modified , I'd appreciate it a lot! Thank you. :crying:

Go here, maybe you will find a tutorial for help you => [MEGATHREAD][GUIDES][18th Dec][4Noobs] All My Tutorials!
and this => [GUIDE] Bootloader Unlock Status: No / No Fastboot
Hello people,
I have tried rooting my phone but I failed, then I rooted it with UnlockRoot Pro. After few days, I tried to customize my phone by flashing kernel and custom ROM's.
I tried official Sony method and other flashtool but either it does not recognize my phone or it says that my phone cannot be officially unlock bootloader. (NOTE: when I tried *#*#7378423#*#*, my phone said Bootloader unlock allowed: Yes)
So, I decided not to flash kernel :crying:
Then, I tried to flash custom ROM's but again nothing seems to work on my phone.
Is it possible that UnlockRoot Pro software did something wrong while rooting?
I had 11.0.A.6.5 then new update came and the customer care people updated my phone to 11.0.A6.8.
I even tried to flash stock ROM, but that is also not working.
I have tried so many tools that I cannot post all the screenshots of their problems.
Please help me; you people are my last hope. Guide me please.

I followed this guide (http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/general/guide-rootrecovery-how-to-root-install-t3017056) to root and install recovery without unlocking the bootloader.
Now, my warranty is out either way and I'd like to unlock bootloader to flash the ParanoidAndroid ROM onto my phone.
How do I go about doing this? I'm running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
Thanks in advance!
