my current machine is using the original room now want to install 5.0 how. machines without root, unlock and install CWM.
who have integrated software for all we ask, to thank everyone help
help me!!!!
You're not being very clear in your question, is your device already rooted or not?
If rooted, go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-s/development/rom-cyanogenmod-12-lollipop-htc-one-s-t2946468
this is a thread about the CM12 rom which works on Android 5.0. You will have to flash the TWRP 2.8.1.1 recovery as said in the Installation Guide (instead of the CWM recovery)
you can download the latest versions of the rom here: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B_THDHRTYTJTNXZBdnZNbFM0VGs&usp=sharing make sure you download the correct version depending on what hboot you have (2.15 or 2.16)
However this rom is not yet a stable finished build, so bugs can occur.
If your device is not yet rooted, and you're not really familiar with it, the best you can do is use the "all in one rootkit for htc one s" which can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1604677
Good luck! :good:

I rooted my phone today, but I have read that unfortunately the newest TWRP recoveries won't install some ROMs. I currently have the 2.6 recovery, how do I downgrade it without bricking the phone? Say, to 2.3.3?
Thanks a bunch.
EDIT: I managed to downgrade it to 2.3.3.0. Now, however, I cannot use the recovery because the touch screen won't work in recovery. Any help?
Where did you read that? That's not right. I think you misunderstood what you read. You want the absolute latest version (2.6.3.0) which has been modified by jrior001 so it can flash KitKat ROMs. You'll find it in the Original Android Development section.
PS. The reason 2.3.3 isn't working is because it's so old that it needs a touchscreen firmware downgrade. You don't want that version anyway, find the one I mentioned above.

even tried to instal cyanogen installer but found it doesnt support one s
any help much appreciated :crying:
HI did you use the modify recovery provided by the cm11 tread. It should fix your problem
Try TWRP, and dont forget if you dont have s-off - you need to "fastboot" the image
Yes, you don't necessarily need the latest version of TWRP, but the modified one posted in the thread. Try it! Good luck!
did it

I am also considering to get CM 11, but how do i get hboot 2.15? I've stock branded internationell S4, that is rooted, unlocked and s-off.
Hello,
Just rooted i9300 following this procedure
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...3-07-2012-cf-root-6-4-supersu-cwm5-5-t1695238
and here is says " istalled A custom CWM 5.5" o.k.
I decided to upgrade the CWM to latest version but always ends with error. Tried also with rom manager just to update ClockworkMod Recovery to 6.0.5.0 but also without success.
Please be so kind and direct me to right path.
Do I even have to bother with this if i want to instal latest stable 4.x Cyanogen mod ? ( what instructions to follow to accomplish this goal.)
Thank you for your time

I rooted / S-off and installed a custom ROM from day 1 with this phone (Verizon HTC One M8).
I have been using the phone for awhile and haven't flashed anything. Today, i started looking into upgrading to a new ROM and realized that I needed to update my firmware before hand. I used this to get back to stock with the new firmware - (http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver...ent/ruu-m8vzw-4-4-4-s-off-onlynewest-t2914914). I used the SD card and Hboot loaded the RUU from the 0P6BIMG.zip.
I am currently running this official software with s-off and root. I installed TWRP with flashify. I booted in to TWRP recovery and attempted a backup and it failed. I attempted to flash a new ROM (i verified the MD5) and it also failed. After some reading it seem as if the stock HTC kernel has write protection turned off preventing TWRP from accessing these files.
I think i will be fine if i get another ROM installed....The new ROM will have a kernel with write access. I would even be happy with replacing the kernel on the official ROM (therefore enabling write access).
I don't know, I'm stuck. Please help!!!

Yes, seems that you might be right.
Maybe flashing a cusom kernel will be enough to gain read/write access in TWRP recovery.
But first:
Are you on the latest TWRP version? (Check in the Verizon One (M8) Original Android Development > [RECOVERY][m8wlv] TWRP 2.8.3.0 touch recovery [2014-12-22] thread.) There was an update yesterday to v2.8.3.0.
The new version has updated support for latest SuperSu app. Check that you are on the latest SuperSU app (viw Play store) too.
If both versions (TWRP and SuperSU) are up-to-date and you still have the access issue, then you should try to flash a custom kernel.
Check this for available kernels: Verizon HTC One (M8) > Kernel.
And here is a discussion thread about ROMs and kernels for your device: Verizon One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > ROM's and kernel suggestions.
In case that you still have questions or need detailed help, please ask in the Verizon One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum.
Thread closed and thank you.
I have
1. s-off
2. rooted
3. super cid
Verizon HTC One M8 running on Android 4.4.2 . I am currently on T Mobile and want to install custom ROM to make it work with T Mobile properly .
I found thread on XDA suggested to install
Flashify, Unofficial TWRP v2.7.0.3 for m8vzw and Android Revolution v 3.4
I have Flashify installed , however this video is pretty old and i am not sure what version of ROM better to install now + what recovery i have to download
I could never get android revolution to boot on my phone, and I have s-off as well. I used the lolliepop ruu to upgrade firmware, and the only rom that will boot and work right is venom. After a lot of tinkering with, I have a consistent gsm/lte connection. This required build.prop editing. If you flash the new venom rom on updated firmware, I could attach a copy of my build.prop file, and you could try to use it to get it all working right. Getting pretty impressive download speeds using speedtest app.

If you are on 4.4.2,flash the latest firmware first before you flashing any LP ROM.
1.Go here.
Download APP/EXE version (which i did).
Follow the instruction & flash the exe ruu.If you encounter problem when flashing, just flash this latest hboot & reflash the app exe ruu.Do this only if you encount with any flashing error.
Let it reboot.That's all .
2.No matter which rom you are flasing SENSE or SENSLESS,just flash the latest firmware first. Then you can flash any rom.
