Okay so this is weird and it's been really bugging me. I have had the Motorola Razr i on Virgin Media but after 21 months of using it the phone has bricked, apparently because i dropped the phone and it has a small crack in it it voids the warranty that "doesn't" cover droppage, which is BS and i'd have to pay £65 in order to get it fixed apparently, so as warranty is void i thought about rooting my phone to get it from being bricked (ironically)
So to start with i was generally on Facebook randomly searching through videos and all of a sudden it just stopped working, no reason for it, just froze. I had to wait 13 hours for the phone to die before recharging it, when the battery got enough juice to turn on i pressed the power button and it's stuck at the red and white M (motorola) logo and will not move off it, i've had it on charge and it's on 100% battery so power isn't the issue, the guy on the customer services at Virgin Media told me that it could potentially have been a virus, so i have no idea but either the boot loader is corrupt or the phone has bricked for some reason. I have tried the recovery section on the fastboot menu on the motorola and gone through the recovery section through that, it's restored it to factory settings and still only boots to the logo and doesn't move off that.
The rooting ways i've seen only root the phone if you can get into the actual phone and enable debug mode, but as my phone doesn't load up nothing will work. Are there any ways to unbrick my phone without having to first load it up and enable debugging, even if i can get the phone just back to loading past the logo i can root it myself >.<
Also i am a noob at this so please, dumb it down on the technical jargon
Thanks
Please understand,
You are in what is collectively called Boot Loop State. This is not a Brick. A Brick is where the phone refuses to turn on. Period.
A Virus did not cause Boot Loop on your phone. Potentially something you tried in order to Root might be the cause.
Please review RAZR i XT890 Firmwares SuperThread (Jelly Bean) Flashing the correct firmware from that thread to your phone might be of help Also review RAZR i Help Guide.
Please post on the second thread if you have additional questions.

Hi there everyone, recently signed up on here as xda seems to be the holy grail when it comes to all thing smartphone.
I'm fairly new to these type of phones and recently was given an infuse 4g that was suffering a power button problem.
The power button problem has been resolved with a new one and the phone was working fine for 3 / 4 weeks.
One day the phone shut down by itself and entered the boot loop syndrome. Factory clearing it hasnt seemed to do anything to resolve the problem as it continued to reboot continuosly.
I came across the thread about gtg ultimate unbrick guide in the developers forum and this seemed like a good way to go, get the phone all the way back to stock and then work from there.
Kies installed and all drivers installed fine. downloaded the gtg unbrick pack and followed the instructions line for line. Odin reports everything passed, took about 2:59 to complete.
phone rebooted and continued to do boot loop so went into recovery as stated and wiped data and cache and rebooted again.
phone is still stuck in some sort of boot loop, but it gets to display the 1st of the setup android phone screens, then just as you get a chance to select next to go onto the next screen, the phone reboots.
Any one have any idea what could be going wrong or as im fairly new to this, is there anything im doing or not doing right that is causing this.
The phone is an at&t infuse.
regards
Trevor

I've already replaced the power button with a new one, but the technician i use did say he will remove the power button completely to see if it does the same, just to rule that out

just redone the gtg flash and it boots into the os (ver2.2.1) and then within about 5 seconds turns off and reboots
can the new on off switch be faulty......im not so sure as in recovery mode, i can leave it on that screen forever and it doesnt attempt to reboot
Tried the one click repair with hemdial or what its called, updating thisnpost via a moto defy mini so excuse any typos.. The hemdiaOl just seemed to meas it up further. So got baxk into downliad mode with odin and reflashed to gtg brick recovery. Not fixed, still booting but at least the screen is now viewable.
To recover one of these phones, is there like a definitive guide as to what to do to first prepare one of these phones for recovery, ie, first, flash to this with cwm and then clear data, cache, dalcik etc. like an idiots fuide, i feel i may need one

I've had my shield for a little over a year now... never rooted, never bootloader unlocked. I've been on the latest firmware since it came out in November, I was extracting a pokemon game rom when I had a lockup earlier, and I force shut it down and turned it back on, now I'm stuck in a bootloop! I've gone into the bootloader and launched recovery mode, but when it gets to that menu, it has the normal android with chest open background with "no command." typed below it. I need to know how I can fix it lol. I'm not rich and have handfulls of expensive android devices, so if this thing is gone for good, then fml.
I've been considering unlocking the bootloader and rooting anyway since the warranty is out so I've decided I'll unlock the bootloader, flash a stock rom extract, and root it. hopefully I can pull it off with nothing but fastboot.
Moto G XT1032 Bricked (?)
Hey! I'm gonna start off by saying I'm pretty much completely clueless when it comes to rooting, flashing, or doing pretty much anything with phones, so if this is a well known problem with an obvious solution and everything I dont know about it, I've been searching for ages to try and find something.
Anyway, the other week I was using my phone as normal, and it stopped responding to anything, so I held the power button to reboot it. Now, the phone won't boot beyond the blue Motorola boot logo no matter what I do. I've tried booting into recovery mode in order to wipe the partition cache and format it, but neither options seem to do anything after waiting about 45 minutes each for something to happen. Any tutorial I've found on the internet ends up not working for some reason or another half way through the steps. If anyone knows how I can sort this out it would be awesome.
I was on Lollipop 5.0.2 (i think), but I took it to a shop and I think they tried to flash the stock software on it but it still didn't fix it, but now I don't know what version of android my phone is running at the minute. I know that the bootloader menu is on version 41.18 if that means anything.
Cheers!
Hello, My friend just told me about this website and all the wonderful experts on here. I have an LG G3 (d850)AT&T/Cricket. I made a huge mistake. I tried having my phone rooted through oneclickroot.com . Their technician was very unsucessful. In the process, once my screen reached firmware update, the phone froze at 0% , and while it was still at 0%, it started to reboot and the screen got stuck by the AT&T logo screen. Now whenever i turn on my phone it will not get further than the AT&T logo screen, it just freezes at that screen forever. It seems i have to factory reset the phone. However i have extremly important information on it that i do not want to lose. I was thinking of sending my phone to a data recovery business but that will be very costly . If there are any experts that can give me any solutions , I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you very much

There's honestly no way to retrieve the data unless you had it stored on an SD card. If there was a way to retrieve it you be looking prob 2 grand or more for data recovery for something like that.

Custom Recovery
"Thanks for the response! Is there a way I could check if a Custom Recovery was installed (Bootloader? ADB?) on the phone? If there was, could I boot into it without losing the data?"
Hello!
I recently flashed my Moto G with the unofficial LineageOS 16 rom by allstargaurav. Kudos to him for his work.
I unlocked my bootloader, got TWRP, flashed the rom, flashed Gapps,Magisk and started using it normally.
One night, after using it with the battery at 30%, I left it as it was and did not charge it.
The next day, I saw that it was not booting up at all. I plugged it in and the white led light started and did not go off.
The light was constantly on. I searched on google to no avail.
Nothing works and I have pressed the power button and power+volume down for more than 5 minutes.
I cant get to the fastboot menu or the TWRP, the phone doesnt power on at all so I cant do anything or get a logcat.
Please help!!!!
I also got the watchdogs boot animation. That is all I have modified.
Please tell me what is wrong and how to rectify it.
Please help quickly.
I am at wit's end and helpless. I should also mention that this was my first time flashing a rom on any device, but I followed the instructions very carefully. Before this the phone was on stock Lollipop rom, stock recovery and locked bootloader.
Thanking anyone who helps or even replies in advance.

Being unsure what the problem is, I also followed FabioSan's guide on unbricking the phone, but I got stuck on the part where we go to the device manager console as my PC would not recognise the phone no matter what I did.
Also, the warranty has expired long ago as the phone was bought in 2014 and it was only a 1year warranty.
Therefore, I am considering giving the phone to the moto support centre. I will also try replacing the battery as it may be a battery problem considering my symptom of the white light does not fit any hardbricked phone's symptoms. Will notify if it works.
Till then, please help and suggest what the problem might be.
