I've recently bought a lg g2 and after 1 month I encountered this problem. When i plug in the charger the battery level stays the same, I have to reboot the phone to display the correct percentage. While using it, the percentage doesn't modify untill I turn the screen off and let it for a time.I 've downgraded to 4.2.2 and it keeps happening. Solutions?

Hello, I have a very unique problem with my phone. My phone is not charging with the charger nor the usb port, and it just stays at 0%. I am using rooted DDKT3. I faced this problem two days ago, and I flashed the FW again and reset everything and the problem disappeared. I calibrated the battery and it was fine till one hour ago when i connected it for charging, the phone restarted although there was still 15 battery left. Now the battery is stuck at 0% for past one hour. I faced this problem after trying to change some fonts and boot animations using ROM Toolbox. what might be the cause?Anybody else faced this problem? If yes how did you fix the problem? Thanks for the help
Just remove your battery and check if there's any physical "lump"/abnormalities...
If yes, then you have to replace the batt...

Hi,
I am experiencing a strange battery indicator problem.
New GT P-5110 with stock rom, not rooted.
Whith fully charged battery, when tab is left in sleep mode or shutdown, buttery indicator goes down in zero time, or UP without being connected to charger.
Also tab will sometimes shutdown when in sleep mode. I suspect is has something to do with suddenly dropping charge value.
Any ideas if this may be software related and fixed whithout sending the tab to service center?
Appologies for my bad English.
Thanks,
Dimitry
Hi,
In case anyone encounters the same problem, the solution is to perform battery calibration.
1) while the device is switched off charge to 100% and leave the device OFF for at least 1 hour.
2) discharge the battery to 40%, switch the device OFF again and leave for at least 1 hour.
3) discharge the battery completely and leave the device for 1 hour.
4) repeate the steps above 2 - 3 times, then the problem disappears.

Greetings,
I had one plus 6 for a bit over 6 months, bought from them directly, use on TMO USA.
About a month ago, started having charging issues. I use old HTC wall charger. Never had any issues before.
Now, when plugged in, the phone charging starts to cycle every 2sec or so. The charging icon goes on/off. If I have less than 15% battery left, the "low battery" warning flashes on the screen on/off every 2 sec. If over 15% battery, phone just vibrates as charging turns on and off.
Sometimes, turning battery saver on or off, or changing default USB configuration, or even rebooting, solves the issue right away. Sometimes it does not
Is this software issue? Started after most recent software upgrade.
I run everything stock. No unlocking, no custom ROMs.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Mike
Why do you not charge with OnePlus charger & cable?
I just had my Xperia Z5's battery replaced due to it bloating up. After two weeks, I noticed that the battery indicator isn't working properly.
It would go down from 100% really fast (even during standby - not using the phone) but stay around 30% down for a really long time. No difference in usage. Then it also started restarting on its own even during standby. I would check my phone and it would need me to input my pin saying its required after a restart. Another instance, I was still typing out a text message and it restarted on its own. The battery was around 60% before it restarted but after it turns on again the battery indicator showed that its at 40 something %. I don't think the battery would drain that much just from restarting.
Also, just today, it won't charge properly anymore. It will detect the charger, like it would make the sound when you plug it in but the battery icon won't change to the charging icon and the battery will continue to drain. When turned off, it would show the Sony logo then battery level on the screen but will stay at 0% or whatever % it was left at and will continue draining.
So my phone just died earlier and I just went to plug it in hoping it would still work. The battery was stuck at 0% for the longest time so I just went and left it for a few hours. Coming back to it, I noticed that the LED indicator is green. I pressed the power button and it showed 100%, then I tried turning on the phone. It still turned on, showing 100% on the battery icon and could be used like usual.
I can still use the phone, barely, but this issue is really annoying. I'm not even sure if the next time it drains it would charge again.
So far, I've tried:
using a different cable and charger
doing a factory reset
doing a repair via Xperia Companion
But the issue still persists...
Is there anything else I can do on my end to fix this?
You should replace your battery
Hello.
I'm sorry to hear that your Xperia Z5 got this problem.
Here're some personal experiences:
1.Just replace a battery for it.My Xperia Z5 had same issue last month:Its battery lasts for only 2 or 3 hours, and charges much faster than before. Then I think maybe the battery life loss too much,so I bought a battery from taobao(A Chinese Website),then everything's fine just as when I buy it.
2.According to your description, maybe the sub board(It's responsible for charging and data transmission)is broken too.You can find a used one at ebay.
That's all.I hope this message can help you.And...I'm a Chinese so maybe you can't understand my Chinglish(It means "Chinese English" )...Sorry for that.
Hi guys I have a pixel 3 and it's stuck at 92% charge on the battery icon no matter whether I unplug it I have a plugin
Now the device seems to charge properly it just doesn't update the charging icon or show the correct status in the icon I tried to re calibrate the battery using accu battery I've also tried factory resetting my device with numerous different wrong and also stock and non stock tried different dates of stock roms so that I could go back to an older as it could have been an update so I was just making sure that it wasn't causing this issue
Any advise would be greatly appreciated as it's really quite annoying to have a phone that works well but the charging icon doesn't do the correct charge so I don't know whether I'm half battery or full battery
I had the stuck battery level indicator issue on my Pixel 3. Symptoms I had noted were the stuck battery level at 34%, random shutoffs, wildly fluctuating low amperage charging values. Tried many of the fixes on the internet without much luck. Finally tried a variation of one that has worked so far. The fix for me was running the battery out and powering on till no screen activity method. The twist I added to this method is that I then got a clamp and clamped the power button into the on position and left it clamped for 24 hours. I then removed the clamp, plugged the charger in and then turned it on. To my delight, the battery level had dropped to 0% and the charging current was 1.5 amps. I am writing this just after the fix and charge level is now 60%, so hopefully it will continue working as it should. I think the fix is that the battery must be thoroughly and fully discharged, but that is just me speculating. Anyway, thanks for all the info you share and hopefully this will help someone with the same problem.
