HELP! Images are not loading in apps like twitter, tweetcaster, 9gag, tumblr - Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys.
I'm having this issue, images are not loading within tweetcaster, twitter, tumblr, 9gag and flipboard (so far). Since I can navigate without any problem on the web versions of them, I'm discarding any connection issue. Even other apps as youtube, facebook, g+ are working without any problem,
I've noticed this after installing TWRP 2.8.1.1 when I did a full backup and restore of the tablet. ( I wanted to try the CM 12 ROM. )
Do you have any idea what could be? I've already tried clearing cache and data for each application. I've even tried wiping cache and dalvik partitions. None of them have worked.
If I wipe data partition and then install 9gag, it works flawlessly. So my best guess is that something is wrong within data partition. But I don't know what!
I dont want to reinstall everything again, so any ideas are welcomed!
Thanks in advance!
PS: Sorry for my english!

I had a similar problem awhile back and I ended up wiping/reloading everything from the ground up. If there is a solution out there I'd love to know of it too so I don't have to do it again.

Yes, a pain in the arse. I had to do the same. Didn't find any other solution.

G-Tablet Possible Market Fix

Guys.. I may have found a MARKET FIX
I hold no responsibility for anyone having issues after doing this, or while trying it. As always, Nandroid backup before changing/modding important files. I followed this video, step for step in real time as he did it. On my CM6.1 b2 running G-Tablet and followed his instructions. After rebooting and opening market mine went back into the accept terms for a second, but then went right to market. (Make sure Wifi is on and connected) And now things that weren't showing up before are all now. Dropbox, titanium backup, Kindle, Tweetdeck and other things I was searching for when i realized we didn't have a full market. This is nothing hard. No changing Android ID's or anything technical like most fixes. It's all done on the tablet. Watch the video. And try it if you feel comfortable. I know this worked for some on zpad clean rom's, and not for others. You must clear the cache.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7l-nySibzeA&feature=related
Still not completely full market but way more than before. Most of the normal things are showing up now. Almost double the results now in the Android Market. Excellent!
Good Luck Guys! This fix was originally for the Winstech tablet, but it has also been said to work for Archos Tablets and almost any Android Device that's struggling with full Market.
This may also help some users.
KorbenD
I finally got this working by ending the tasks and then clearing the data for Google Framework by using Titanium Backup. Any of the other data/cache management tools should work too.
The quick test to see if it's working is to try running Market after clearing data. If you get an error, then it should be done. Reboot. Be sure you have a connection before running Market again.

That's awesome! Thanks a lot! I was going to try it in CM6.1, backup Titanium and restore. But, I was able to just do this in Titanium, running ZPad Clean .3
My Downloads appeared as well. Also was able to download and install purchased apps.
UPDATE: I tried backing up the Google Service Framework and Market after doing the hack via Titanium. I reloaded builds and GApps and did a data only restore(only option it gives) via Titanium thereafter. The market came up as expected.
Beat you to it by a few hours:

I put it in the Apps section as it seems a good place for it. All references were documented, however!
thanks for the shout.. Well. We'll just leave it here anyways.
Titanium Backup definately works!
And a big Thank you to everyone who figured it out! My Gtab is now officially awesome.

[Q] Catastrophic problem averted... or no?

Apologies for a long post.
But more importantly... "THANK YOU" to all the members of XDA-Developers!! (Too many individuals to list/remember separately)
OK, long story:
I have a 32 GB wifi Xoom. I upgraded from Tiamat kernel 1.4.1 to Tiamat Moray Rom 2.2.2 last week. In the kernel, I was experiencing sluggishness, FCs (launcher, market), and long (2 min. +) boot times. Moray fixed the sluggishness and the FCs, but boot time increased by 30 sec. (no big deal).
After about 6 days (yesterday), problems started mounting, and my device "eroded" (steadily crept toward what I saw as death.):
* The wallpaper had strange markings/moire
* Gmail FC'ed immediately
* None of my computers would recognize the Xoom file system (after having done so minutes prior on my work machine and that morning for my home machine).
So...
I attempted to reflash Moray-- things got worse, EVERYTHING FC'ed, wifi died.
I attempted to restore my nandroid (of Tiamat kernel before I originally flashed Moray)-- things hit rock bottom, it bootlooped.
This morning, I was about to give up. I had already placed a new Xoom in my Amazon.com shopping cart.
But, I tried again...
From you amazing contributors, I was about to find potential answers, and hope
One guy had the exact problem I did:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1240904
In other places, I learned about adb and fastboot and Motohelper PC drivers.
Now, I have just finished a nandroid of a "clean" Moray flash.
I'm ecstatic.
But, also worried. I have NO CLUE how/why the problems started.
If anyone who made it through reading all this has any idea to help me and others, or confident words that the problem(s) are gone for good, please pass them along. Basically, I would like to know if there are specific apps to avoid, filetypes to never save, actions to never perform, etc...
This ordeal has taught me that ANYTHING on xda-developers is potential gold.
Anyway, thanks again from a slightly-less-noob-ish Xoom user.
A lot of times, all the problems mentioned can be completely avoided by doing a clean install of any rom. I always do this even if the directions say it is unnecessary. by wiping all data, you are removing any incompatible or corrupted files from your device. For force closes with google apps, it can be caused by not having the proper signature from the maker itself. I have avoided this in all roms I have made by not resigning them and even removing them entirely, since they can be installed from the market.
As far as the long boot times, the incompatibility of apps and corruptions removed during the wipe process should have fixed this as well as the system isn't trying to start and piece together these apps.
I hope this gives you a little understanding as to your issues and why they happened...if you want a further explanation, please contact me. Also, I am glad to see your issues are fixed and you didn't purchase another xoom...
another tip...restore your apps only and not system data from titanium backup...a lot of times, the data is not compatible with the new system you put on your device.

Thanks. Your words are spot on:
1) I fixed the problem by learning how to install/use fastboot to get rid of *everything*.
2) My force closes began immediately after boot of Google apps: Gmail, Market, Video, Browser, and something called "ancore" (I guess its the core android os).
3) Between my original flashing of Moray and the disaster, I had installed two potentially "improper" apps: the ICS Gmail that was circulated in a Tiamat Moray thread here, and tTorrent. Neither will be reinstalled on my "new" Xoom.
4) In my panic to reflash Moray and restore my nandroid, I may have mixed system data and made things worse.
I may leave my Xoom alone for awhile until I have more thoroughly researched xda-developers.

There is a wealth of information here, almost all of it buried in the back pages. It's a guarantee that "someone" has had the exact same problem, and usually has been able to find a solution, and as you said, almost everyone wants to share.

[Q] How do you go about setting your phone up after new ROM?

It seems like every time I set up a new ROM, it takes me forever to get everything set back up and I always miss something, contacts are missing, apps go all wonky... I used to backup all my apps and data, but a lot of the time the new ROM will download many of the apps I had, so when I restore the backup of my Apps, it screws everything all up.
So I guess my questions is... Whats the most sufficient, easiest, most thorough way of restoring all apps and whatnot on a new ROM?
For the basics use the market app to backup your sms to google cant remember what its called, backup your contacts to google (highly recommend) that way you will never loose them.
For apps i would only ever backup downloaded apps with titanium backup pro. System apps can be a pain in the ass to restore.
Other than that everything else is fairly easy...

Hmm... Ive never gone about backing up SYSTEM apps, but like paid apps, that Ive bought and backed up, seem to get all jacked when I restore or reinstall them. Ive tried a few different methods of restoring my system and never get it to go smoothly. Didnt know if there was an easier way. Thanks for the info!
You might want to upon first boot of the new ROM, bypass initial setup with the tap corners trick, restore apps with Titanium, then resume the setup process. Market will see your apps as already having been installed and not bugger everything up.
Good idea! Hadnt thought of that. Will try with my next rom. Thanks! Anymore tips out there?
First thing I thought of was nandroid backup using clockworkmod on a rooted device. I have restored my phone countless times and everything restores exactly how it was.
sometime i got errors while restoring with CWM..
Titanium is still the recommended.
When I first started out, I actually had to make a list and check it off. Eventually, I found some apps that would cover those items (Titanium, etc), but still even with that I have to manually go in and do a few settings. MIUI ROMS have a backup program (I used MIUI on my HD2) and it seemed to do a decent job.
I usually keep a current back up of all apps from market(not system apps) made from my backup pro. Everything else gets a fresh start.
When I switch android versions ei, from gingerbread to ics, nothing gets restored, everything is a fresh install from market.
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
Was it through CWM rom manager or manual recovery mode? I mean did you install a kernel that installed cwm or did you install rom manager? After a couple weeks walking around blind I figured out that flashing the right kernel gets cwm to work without problems.
Restoring system settings is a big no no. It is just asking for trouble as with each update the source code is changed and then you are restoring outdated settings that may or may not be there.
TIBU is still the main app restore program. As for restoring settings that is never advices. Well unless you like troubleshooting random errors lol
Thanks for ALL the replies! Some stuff I hadnt thought of in here, and some stuff to try. If anyone else has any more info, please feel free to share. I have heard that restoring settings is asking for trouble, so luckily Im not too picky about those. I really only change the haptic feedback and stuff off the bat, anyway. It also sucks losing all my WiFi networks and having to have all my friends dig up their network passwords.
Anyway, gonna try out some of this stuff today as Im sick of the ROM I just flashed. Still waiting on MIUI getting that MMS workin

I concur, system restores after updates, different roms etc are a nightmare lol. It might be a pain in the a$$ but i ALWAYS start afresh after each flash and never use the same data image lol

[Q] Bean Stalk bug

I installed bean stalk 2 days ago and really like it except for my swift key 3 keyboard loses its ability to do predictive text. I have to force close it and reopen it to get it to work again. It seems the problem occurs when i uses a text box that doesn't allow predictive text, then it losses prediction util i close and restart it. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing it. Is there anything that could be done or an i missing something?
Oh yes it also has really poor battery life, is this normal? too

The poor battery life is normal cause i have experience with that too.. You have to be patient and let the ROM settle in for a few days.. But on your swift key i suggest you use rapid typing style and change your "spacebar will..." to complete the current word. If you use those options it should work fine for you. But good luck :fingers-crossed: (Hit that thanks button bellow please lol)

I don't think deleting them will cause any harm. Maybe you could move them to a different folder instead of deleting them, then see what happens and go from there. But I'm pretty confident that you'll be fine deleting them.

I've done it in the past, yes. You can add your own ringtones to it and they'll show up, so why wouldn't they disappear when you delete them?
...
Ok so I did it again right now, just for you, and yes they can be deleted. So it is clear you're not mounting /system as rw.

Where are you doing this from (es file explorer, etc)?
Wakelocks and other small issues
Hey guys, just to input to what has been asked here, I had problems mounting earlier as well, but with root explorer (Rom toolbox) and the file manager that comes with the ROM, but it worked with ES file explorer when I deleted system files. As for swiftkey, I don't have it so can't input for that. Anyway here's my problem (sorry for hijacking the thread, but just posting here as well since there was a reply much more recently than Beanstalk Q&A thread):
I'm new to beanstalk ROM and recently installed the kit kat build posted on new year's eve coming from carbon 4.3. I have performed all necessary wipes (data, cache, dalvik, system) and installed Gapps posted by vaughn in the dev thread. I am just wondering if anyone has experienced wakelocks caused by android system, exchange services and google services? So far, when I searched xda and googled the problems, I only found solutions for google services and exchange services which were to turn off sync (exchange services) and location (G-services), but for some reason my system is still experiencing a wakelock from g-services and I'm not sure how to get rid of it...by the way, I clean flashed the ROM a second time (but wiped my internal sd also this time) to see if that would help but so far it hasn't. I've been running the ROM for 3-4 days now if that's important.
My other questions are does anyone have misaligned icons in active display and also slightly misaligned number in the battery ring icon (i think this was reported in dev thread) and will installing SuperSu fix the problem with V4A asking for superuser rights, but then when I try to install driver, it asks me to check if I'm rooted or have su binaries? Thanks in advance for any help!
I have uninstalled updates for google play services and it updated back and now it seems to have gone down in my battery stats. Now only thing left is android system.

Removing App info

I've been having quite a difficult time with an application that simply does not want to disappear and I have no idea how they're doing this. There's a game called Knights & Dragons and after I used titanium backup to restore my game [not thinking] after flashing a new ROM it suddenly got stuck in a reloading loop. I've tried to contact the developers over the matter but 1. it's GREE and 2. they're probably under the impression that i've been cheating.
SO. I decided that I'll just whipe it and make a new account and start from scratch not bothering. I just played casually so it's not a big issue really. Something to do with my kids and brother.
I've done a full out factory reset more than once, installed different ROMS including different playstore versions, cleared data under apps options, looked under android/data/ for any game files i may have missed floating on the system, spoof data through XPrivacy which works on everything else, tried PDroid, made a new google account and downloaded through that and nothing.
Every time it still loads up my old game thats glitched/banned [unsure which it is] and I have no idea how. All data that I know of has been deleted and the phones data including google acc/key has been legitly changed AND i'm spoofing on top of it. There should be absolutely NO way the game associates itself with my device yet it does which leads me to believe that somewhere on my phone something is hidden. Does anyone have any ideas?
Same issue
Did you get it to work?
I'm also after what are they using to identify the device. Can't figure out.
If you fixed it, can you please let us know?
Thanks
Do you have a full backup from your stock ROM ? (you can restore and start over for real)
You should have your stock ROM and then flash other ROM over it, simply because custom ROMs are overwritten to the previous ROM and if some file are corrupted they should get fixed
Repair shops usually have devices to hard flash your android device into an stock Recovery and ROM, you may try that too
