Hi there,
I have a USB with music plugged into my Netgear router with 'readyshare'. I was wondering if I could add this local folder to BubbleUpnp and stream music from local network. The directory is available via Windows as well as from ES file explorer. I can send tracks to Bubble from ES explorer, but it would have been great if Bubble could access the local folder directly.
The local directory can also be access via h*t*p:slash/readyshare.routerlogin.net/shares/usb_storage
Please advice if this is possible. I would be more than delighted if I can get this to work.
Thanks! for a brilliant application.
PS - I am using the licensed version.
Regards
Bil

Hi,
I'm considering this tablet as a gift for my gf.
I'd just need to know if there's an app/mod (I'd prefer not to root, but if it's necessary, I'm no-problem) able to read music from a PC in home, an Ubuntu machine with Samba shares.
Also, which app would you suggest in order to see, manage and perhaps lightly edit picasa pictures and albums ?
Thank you very much !!
Fabio
I use ESFile Explorer, just add your lan folder/share in ES, and thats it, you can stream/copy any file from there.
I use it to stream movies from my windows xp download machine
ES File Explorer on android market
GoogleMusic. I use it on all of my Android products and I love it. Added advantage of being able to sign in to ANY computer and have your music as well.
With a rooted Transformer you can use CIFS to basically make any network share look like a local file folder on the tablet itself, as long as you're on the same network as the computer sharing the media.
- bubbleupnp server running on LInux, internet connectivity test: success on http and https
port 58050, 58051 and 1900 are open
- bubbleupnp on android: network settings: 3 networks, http, https via internet and http on local ip-adres
- select library: only local media server is found
- playlist containing some music from server (when it was still found) does play

hi
so some channels on TVPlayer app only works via wifi. i use the app on my android tv box to stream live channels like bbc, itv etc etc. is there a mod to this app or maybe a spoof to make the channel work via ethernet? cos i've tried 'Fake Wifi Connection' modules from Xposed and it works only on certain apps like BBC iPlayer and Tune In Radio but not TVPlayer. i think TVPlayer is a much better app cos it lets u stream different live channels, plus iPlayer and ITV Player is not stable on my tv box. Ethernet is better than Wifi anyway. anyone can help me out?

Greetings!
In the process of replacing an older streaming device from my PC to my AVR and the good folks on AVS Forum helped me get this far and suggested that I try here for a solution to my problem.
I'm attempting to stream/cast FLAC audio files from foobar2000 on my PC to my AVReceiver for playback through our home stereo speakers. The AVR has Chromecast Audio connected to it via optical cable. I have installed BubbleUPnP on our two android tablets and have successfully streamed FLAC music files from them onto the AVR for successful playback.
My problem is streaming from my PC to the AVR using the BubbleUPnP Server. Whenever I open the server I receive the following:
HTTP: ERROR: Cannot connect. Check that the public host name is valid and that port 58050 is opened on your router
HTTPS: ERROR: Cannot connect. Check that the public host name is valid and that port 58051 is opened on your router
I'm using an ASUS TM-AC1900 router but I know nothing about checking for a valid public host name or that ports 58050/1 are open or not. In other words I know little or nothing about programming a router.
What forum would I best be posting this on to search for a solution?
Thank you.
Hi,
Thanks for using XDA assist.
It would be best to post in this thread:
