I have a WiFi only version GT-N8013 Galaxy Note 10.1.
I purchased it at a local auction with the notation that it needed work and was stuck at the samsung galaxy note 10.1 screen.
The counter has not been set off. It shows everything as "official".
It will not connect in KIES or KIES 3 (I have other devices that will detect and connect in KIES)
It is stuck at the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 boot screen.
I can access download mode.
I cannot access the recovery program at all.
I have odin flashed it with CWM, TWRP, and stock recoveries (none of them seem to "stick")
I have flashed 3 or 4 different STOCK ROMS (Odin shows "passed" but the device usually doesn't reboot...it stays stuck at the download mode screen)
Even when it reboots after odin flashing a rom or recovery it hangs at the "Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1" screen.
when I check "nand erase" or "re-partition" when flashing a rom, recovery, or pit file it instantly fails in odin.
Again it's like it can't write to the memory.
Odin does it's thing, but it sticks at the samsung galaxy note 10.1 screen every time.
It has never gotten to thew samsung boot logo and I have never gotten it into recovery mode.
I am prepared to sell it on the bay for parts (the value of the LCD will more than cover the price I paid for it but I would like to get it going if possible.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am fairly proficient with flashing, etc.
Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone, hope i'm not repeating the question...
i had the note 10.1 for a year, perfect tab, i even use it as my daily phone, it was rooted and worked perfectly
i had a lot of ads so i tried blocking them, didn't work so thought about formatting... i use triangle away to reset counters (reset to 1) and i used ODIN 3.09 to flash stock rom (related to my country EGY, although i think the note was from KSA... does that make a difference?)
anyway flash finished perfectly but since then and the note only bootloops... startup page GALAXY NOTE 10.1 changed to a noisy screen capture of the download mode (not clear image just a noisy cheap copy of the download mode screen)... and the animation SAMSUNG works normally then resets...
i tried another firmware (from samfirmware as well, related to UAE this time) still same issue...
i can only get it to download mode, if i press the other keys combination to clear user data or cache it does the same bootlooping...
any ideas??!

What model note is it and what is the exact file firmware that you are flashing.
I have seen others having the same issue with higher build numbers of odin... have you tried trusty odin 1.85

i rooted it, and it worked
and working fine
all the propblem now is that it no longer has the welcome log "Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 N8000"... it shows a noisy screen capture of download mode screen...
any answers??!!!
Excuse me but i really need help... the note 10.1 now works fine except for the following...
- boot image "Samsung Galaxy note 10.1 n8000 (black screen white text)" turned into a total messed up image
- PC doesn't detect the note as a media device anymore (but detects download mode normally)
- USB OTG doesn't work, although it worked perfectly before all that...
Please i flashed all available stock and custom roms, i have no backups to restore... i only want it to go back to it's factory shape again fully operational!

Hi, my note 10.1 8010 suddenly went off and never booted again. It gets stuck at the very begining of the process "Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Logo".
I have flashed stock rom via Odin and I get the green PASS! message but still the same.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
I have the same problem. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2539276
Seems the only way to fix it is to send it in for repairs.

Hi,
Not sure why this happened, but while charging my tablet (galaxy note 10.1 GT-N8013 2013 edition) the tablet flashed and rebooted itself without user interaction. Upon reboot it froze on the samsung splash screen, so i pressed and held in the power button until the device restarted. When it did restart it no longer showed the splash screen, just squiggly lines thru the screen and it sits there unresponsive. I can boot the device into download (odin) mode, it shows that there is no custom binary download, shows the current binary is samsung official, but it says system status is custom, which is odd because i have never attempted to flash a custom rom nor have i tried to root this device.
i proceeded to install odin on my laptop and downloaded the factory binary from sammobile. I loaded everything up (as per the directions) but it fails, says there is no PIT partition. Im not sure where to go from here, i contacted samsung, but they are useless, says they cant help because the device is out of warranty. Any help would be greatly appreciated , thanx in advance.

Hello and thank you for using XDA Assist.
Sorry to hear about your trouble but fortunately there is an XDA area dedicated to the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet at http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-10-1 which would be a good starting place. I suggest you post your question with all relevant details in the friendly Q&A forum there at http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-10-1/help where the experts familiar with your device will be best able to guide you.
Good luck!
The last time I ever see my Tablet Gt N8000 (Made in Vietnam) :crying:
Before it happend I was eating a Hamburger, I just use my camera and made a video...You know, some random videos like crappy stuff.
Then after I stop recording, It just hangs and reboot.
It just got stuck on Samsung Logo, I was not scared that time, I tried to use recovery like pressing Volume Up and Power Button,
you guys all said it was easy to use recovery, but NO, NOT FOR ME.
My tablet is so different that he wont let me use Recovery.
When I pressed the Power Button + Volume Up, It boots. I was waiting for the recovery screen but NO! Something bad happend It boots again.
Whenever I try to use recovery, it boots again like
I pressed the key to go to Recovery Mode
it says "Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1"
Then OFF then there goes again "Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1"
But it didnt go recovery mode, it goes to "Samaung Logo" now.
Its like denying my Recovery Command.
Then I have no choice but to use Odin and the Samsung N8000 Firmware.
I used Vietnam, go to odin then put the md5 then start.
THEN SOMETHING HAPPEND! It FAILED! I did it again, I unplugged and plugged the USB then FAILED! FAILED! FAILED! F*CKING FAILED!
F*CK THIS SH*TTY TABLET.
I try to find a way but no! Nothing. Only a Legend can solve this problem.
If you comment about more firmwares..No! Just No! I Tried It.
I Even USED 2 DIFFERENT FIRMWARES! ALL VIETNAM!
This is harder than you think.
R.I.P Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 GT-N8000. :crying:
Some information may help .
What firmware what fail error in Odin .
Or see multiple identical Odin / firmware fail posts .
Mine is made in viet too. Fortunately, i dont have any issue at all. I suggest to bring your tablet to your trusted phone repairer and tell them what's your problem. Because it's hard to predict(diagnose) what's going on whit your tablet. It may caused by emmc/camera sensor error, so you need to replace one/both of them. if you lucky enough, it well be just firmware failure.
My Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 GT-N8013 got soft bricked and now not able to boot (Samsung Logo stays on screen and then just goes off), Cannot boot into recovery (twrp) either (TWRP logo shows and then just boots again). But can boot into download mode.
Tried stuff with ODIN mode but nothing helped to switch on into OS(custom Rom).
Pls help.
What exactly is STUFF ??
Where does Odin fail ??
Multiple posts on bricked phones .
Same problem. GT-N8013 won't boot, got to ODIN mode "downloading" but nothing happens and I know that the tablet cannot connect to current wifi since it has changed since this tablet was last used. I don't know where to go from here or what to do
Difficult to understand your post .
Download Mode then you flash stock rom via Odin .
