[Completed] [Q] Need help... phone goes into bootloop - xolo q800 - XDA Assist

I tried to install custom rom given in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2729379 FOR Xolo Q800. But I don't know what I did wrong & now my phone doesn't start. Steps that I followed -
1) Installed CWM Recovery & rooted the phone. http://xolohub.blogspot.in/2013/11/how-to-install-cwm-twrp-recovery-on_16.html
2) Then I went into recovery mode and did
a) wipe data/factory reset
b) wipe cache
I didn't clear Dalvik cache because whenever I clicked on wipe dalvik cache, it refreshed the screen so I skipped it.:silly:
3) Installed zip from sd card & it went fine but when I restarted phone, it went into bootloop :crying:
Then I searched on google & followed some steps to get out of bootloop but unfortunately it did not work. Steps that I followed -
1) Went into recovery
2) then mount from usb mode and copied over the same rom from PC, wiped every thing 3 times (wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache, format data, format system, format cache, wipe dalvik cache) all of it (This time wipe dalvik cache worked).
3) installed custom rom again but still did not work.
Couple of things -
Whenever I reinstalled new rom & tried to reboot my phone, I got message "rom may flash stock recovery on boot THIS CAN NOT BE UNDONE" then i have the options of - no, - yes disable recovery flash, and - go back. No matter which one I choose (including - go back) my phone reboots & goes into bootloop
I have around 400 mb free on my sd card after I copied custom rom. Can this be a problem?
Please help & get me out of this thing.

Maybe you have to do a factory reset (wipe data).
But better to ask in the corresponding Q&A thread: [Q&A] [XPERIA][4.4.2-LIKE] PureXperia Z2 v4.3.5 FOR Xolo Q700/Q700i/Q800/Fly iq446/A.
There you should get better answers.
Good luck !

I actually did factory reset before reinstalling it but didn't work. Now I installed another rom (Baidu) & thankfully it worked for me. Not sure if the problem was with PureXperia rom or with my phone

Thanks for letting us know. Thread closed.

[Q] LG Optimus V stuck in android system recovery

i was running CM7 then i went back to stock and it kept saying my memory was getting low so i went to settings>privacy>factory data reset. then now it wont come out of android system recovery with any rom or anything! PLEASE HELP!!
if i were you i would just load another custom rom:
1. in recovery, wipe data, cache, dalvik cache
2. connect your phone to your computer
3. download a custom rom on your computer and transfer it to your phone (by enabling usbms toggle)
4. flash the rom
ok i did that and it didnt work, said it installed successfully then i went to reboot system now and just went back in android system recovery.
Do it again and again and again until it works. Which recovery are you using and which rom? Btw, I guess you now know why they say not to use the inphone factory reset on the phone. May want to check in the ov forum instead of the general forums

[Q] Phone not receiving calls after installing ROM to get out of fastboot

I was following a guide to root and flash a ROM for my LG Optimus V. I got to the step where I wipe data/factory reset, cache, and dalvik-cache, but I decided to continue the guide later and powered off my phone and ended up in fastboot. I got out of fastboot by installing the zip files for BACKside ROM from the recovery menu, so now my phone works but a few things are off like I can't receive calls, getting server errors on google play, and getting an error that com.phone.android stopped working. I'm not sure what to do next to resolve those issues.
Edit: I realized that before installing BACKside, I didn't wipe caches or format anything since I had done them before my phone went into fastboot. Does this make a difference and means I need to re-install BACKside (by wiping caches, formatting, and then flashing)?

1)maybe the rom and ur baseband don't match
2) maybe bcoz u didn't wipe so ders problem
3) or the rom itself has prob
so do a full wipe including formatting system.

[Q] stuck in fastboot Help

i have rooted my phone with gingerbreak and wanted to install gingersnap rom. i followed this methood http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1197991 and my phone is stuck in fastboot now.... i am able to press home+voldown+power button to go into clockwork recovery i think thats what its called and pretty much nothing else please help im new to this stuff
Go into the recovery, then use the volume keys to navigate around and either the search button or the menu button will select things depending on the version you're using. Once you're there, wipe cache and dalvik cache, then reboot it. The boot will take a long time, if after five minutes it's still trying to boot, then go back into recovery, wipe cache and dalvik cache, then install a rom like gingersnap. If after another five minutes that isn't working, boot into recovery again do a factory reset (this will wipe all of your apps, contacts, calendar entries etc), wipe system, wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache (do not wipe sd card or external storage) then install a rom like gingersnap and see if it boots up.
thanks for trying to help but none of that helped i dont really know how to install/flash a rom but i looked around a bit and found that i made a backup before i tryed to flash it so thanks

[Q] Problem booting custom image [A510]

Hi, this is the first android device I have played with so naturally I managed to mess it up.
The problem is with an Iconia A510, wrong forum but didnt find a Q&A for A510 so I tried here instead.
I rooted and installed CWM recovery. The custom firmware I have tried or stopped during boot and rebooted the device. Booted for 10-20 seconds, I see the animated logos before it reboots.
I upgrade with:
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache
advanced -> format /system
advanced -> format /data
advanced -> format /cache
install zip from sdcard -> external sdcard
Am I doing something wrong with the upgrade? Can I upgrade CWM from inside CWM so I can try the latest Android version? Is there a firmware version that will work?
Info:
Files from: acer shreps fr
CWM version: CWM Recovery v6.0.1.9 by NoThrills for A510 tablets. Apparently can try KitKat with it, so only tried older Android.
All installed OK but stopped during boot:

Thanks for the tip. I tried wiping the usual suspects, flashing a CM rom and then flash data and dalvik cache. Same thing; started booting, the CM logo comes up and starts spinning before it freezes and reboots.
I'll play around a bit more. Tried the 'fix permissions' in CWM recovery, no go.
Solved it. Formatted everything except external_sdcard, flashed with AOKP and booted fine. Magic!
