Hi!
I need help regarding my phone Sony Xperia Z3 D6653 - I followed the procedures properly on how to unlock and root the phone via
http://theunlockr.com/2014/10/08/how-to-root-the-sony-xperia-z3/
and
http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/orig-development/d66xx-cwm-based-recovery-6-0-4-7-root-t2890116
it went well with no errors at all but after the reboot and flashing SuperSU, the wifi won't turn on anymore, I tried everything in the advanced options on wifi but it didn't make any difference at all, Bluetooth, LTE and Mobile Data Works fine, also tried wiping data (factory reset the thing) but still no dice.. please help... thanks!
Edit:
Even the Wifi hotspot doesn't work, my only option left is to flash it back to stock rom
I have the exact same issue. Followed the same processes and with no funny vibrations or anything but WiFi won't turn on.

Do a full reflash of ROM with flashtool. It should fix it.
As i know, kernel handle the wifi, and if something is wrong in kernel this happens.
Since you are lockedbootloader if i am correct, i dont know why it has this behaviour.
But anyway, backup your things, and do Full reflash, let me know.
You said you are unlocked. Flash another kernel and test it.

Today out of the blue my Xperia J was self switched off and when I tried to start it - it restarts before finishing booting.
6 months since I have it and I never had this problem.
The firmware is JB 11.2.A.0.21 rooted with locked bootloader. and 32 GB microSD card for Internal Memory.
Any advice how to proceed ?
thanks.
Bootloop? Have you tried pc companion - repair?

If you haven't had any problems since you got this phone, then you should definately try to repair it with PC Companion, as the mate aboce said. It shouldn't normally occur if you haven't done anything to it, especially unlocking bootloader or doing other fancy stuff to it.
help!

Last week, my phone get this problem too. Have you installed flashboot and flashmode drivers in Flashtool?
hi guys,
I solved my problem with flashing the latest original ROM St26i_11.2.A.0.31_Central Europa.ftf with FLASHTOOL and the phone is working great up to now.
Later I will downgrade it to ICS and root and then flash rooted JB again. But now I want to test it.
So far it runs very smooth and is working great.
I don't know if the 31 update did anything or my previous install was full of apps and tweaks and that why the phone was somehow laggy.
Also I used to have problem with my Plantronics Bluetooth handsfree - it was transferring the call from the handfree to the phone and vice versa wihtout whenever it wants. Right now everything is working great.
The only thing is that the space for apps is too small (2GB) and that it is not rooted. But I will fix this once I see that the phone is stable.
desperate for help

am tryi g to take part in the development of this rom but because i am new to the forum, i am not allowed to post replies. Just to explain to Darkman that the new rom does not install on aroma using TWRP but does install on Philz. Having installed I discovered that the wifi is detected but cannot connect. I had to revert to 4.1.2. Did someone experience the same problem on gt n8000? Will there be a new version of this rom with a working WFI

I have just installed stock 4.4.2 on a GT-N8000, but, I cannot enable WiFi as the WiFi toggle button always stays "OFF"
I tried wiping cache, factory reset etc. I just don't want to revert to 4.1.2. If I find a way to get it to work I will post it here. If somebody else knows the solution, please share with us.
Thanks.

I have the same problem
Hi XDA,
Can anyone help?
I upgrade my Android 4.1.2 to 4.4.2 on n8010 using a firmware i find on the samsung updates website.
I flash it with mobile odin pro.
The firmware got installed correctly the only problem is my wifi button is not working. When trying to put it "on" state, it goes back to "off" state
Things that i already tried but failed to activate my wifi:
(Btw those are the solutions proposed on several websites)
1.Factory reset
2.Playing with the wifi button several time
3.Whack the n8010 at the back
4.Playing with wifi .conf file on my android using Total Commander
5.Turn it off for several minutes
6.Turning off everything including my router
I am considering of flashing a rom so that i get my wifi back.
But before i do that can someone help me find a solution to the wifi problem because i dont want to flash a rom??
But in case that the only option can anyone recommed me what roms is best to flash on n8010.
OR Maybe i should sell it since without wifi its useless.
Thanks in advance

You Can instan only by ODIN and PC.
You need the new bootloader in order to have a fully working 4.4.2 version by sammy, and mobile odin doesn't flash it, and like HUNited said you need to use the pc version of odin.

Hi, how do we get new bootloader and how do we replace it?
In my case bootloader is blocked on N8010ZCCMH1, this is china version and makes upgrade over pc odin impossible beside 4.1.2 and when I do the update to 4.4.2 over the mobile odin the WiFi is stuck.I have the exact same issue..
As far I understand, the bootloader is the key.But I was not be able to change it to any european version, any help regarding this issue will be highy helpful.
Thank you.

I'll give it a try.I see that lot of those who tried 4.4.2 are getting back on 4.1.2.
Is 4.4.2 really so bad?
hi,
I have a nexus 5 with lollipop 5.0.1, xposed (gravity box, amplify and greenify activated) and franco kernel.
My problem is that in the wifi settings i dont see any wifi available, my phone just connects to the few wify that i had already saved.
I donwload a third party app (wifi manager) and from the app i can see every connection available near me, so the problem must be rom related, not hardware related.
I tried flashing system and boot from 5.0 image, but that didnt solve the problem (i tought that going back to stock kernel and deactivating xposed would have helped). So i tried to flash 5.1 (i'm actually still with 5.0.1 because i want to use xposed), i flashed boot system radio and bootloader and that solved the problem, without wiping any data or app.
Since that solved the problem i thought that maybe bootloader or radio had something to do with it, ann i flashed again 5.0.1 with the new bootloader and the new radio but the bug was still there, nothing changed.
Is this a common bug?i searched in the forum and trough google but i couldnt find anyone with my exact problem, do you think you can help me?
If you need any log i'll post it here, just tell me what you need!
Thanks in advamce

Thanks for the answer but my WiFi actually turns on without any problem, and also connect to the few WiFi that I already had saved! And with a third party app i actually have no problem, It works as it should
Anyone?
Bump! I still have this problem
suddenly i bought this phone second hand. then when I tested Turning on my bluetooth it won't turn on.
Is there anyone experiencing the same problem?
I already did troubleshoot and performed this steps:
1. Wipe cache of Bluetooth Applications on System apps in settings
2. Force stop Bluetooth Applications on System apps in settings
3. Restart my phone
4. Wipe Cache on stock Recovery & restart my phone
5. Restore Factory Settings on Recovery
but suddenly bluetooth still won't open when touching it on notification panel nothing happens even directly on the settings toggling the bluetooth won't work. :crying:
my phone is untouch on rooting world.
So my questions is;
1. Will rooting and flashing rom can solve my bluetooth problem?
2. Is this a hardware problem?
3. Is there a separate chip or module for bluetooth on the motherboard of S7 edge?
to all XDA members I'm asking if you have an idea on this matter please feel free to reply to this post.
thanks you so much!
Rooting and flashing a ROM shouldn't be necessary, if you're willing to lose data I would just recommend a full flash via Odin as it keeps you on stock firmware, doesn't trip knox etc. There's stock firmware files and a guide on www.updato.com
Sometimes the OTA updates can be buggy and end up with issues like these. It could be a hardware problem, but I suspect it's probably more likely to just be something wrong with the firmware or bootloader.

I tried flashing newest stock nougat firnware XTC csc.
Tried it using ODIN
But still bluetooth won't turn on.
Can you say that our problem is hardware failure? But I think if it's a hardware issue then wifi should not work too. Because wifi and bluetooth is on the same chip module. ???
Update: I've talk to numerous technician and they think its not a hardware issue since my wifi is working. They said that wifi and bluetooth is on the same micro chip module. So if it is hardware issue on the bluetooth wifi should not work too. ???????? @dhawal4u
Same Problem here. Since 2 months after trying Badman Rom my Bluetooth doenst work. Now I load Stock Rom, Bootloader, Modem but no solve for the Problem
