I tried to custom install custom rom on my samsung galaxy S III (ATT). After several unsuccessful attempts, my phone is stuck in soft brick mode (shows Samsung Galaxy after reboot and get stuck there).
I installed custom recover mode apps (CWM, TWRP). I am unable to install custom ROMs using these apps in recover mode. I get NAND write error failed and also "No OS installed error"
When I put the phone in Download mode, the device shows the following.
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SGH-I747
Current Binary: Custom
System Status: Custom
Qualcomm Secure boot: ENABLE
Warranty Bit: 1
BOOTLOADER AP SWREV: 3
I am guessing Samsung is blocking custom installs. I am unable to recover the phone to samsung custom rom since I don't have recovery code from Samsung Kies. i can't get back to stock rom as there is no OS installed.
Can you suggest some ideas on how to get past the soft brick ?
-regards

I tried to ROOT my Galaxy Core I8262 (INS)-India || using KingoPro without making a CWM/TWRP recovery. But it resulted in soft/hard bricking (confused!) my phone. And its noot geeting booted again.
In Download Mode showing the following things:
CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD: YES (1 Counts)
Current Binary: Custom
SYSTEM Status: Official
I researched further and tried to flash Stock ROM again using Odin 3 And it resulted in the status in Download Mode "Current Binary: Samsung Official" but the process stucks during flashing "system.img.ext4" as showing in the Odin message box.

Hi,
I will have your thread moved to your device section.
Good luck!
I tried to root my phone, and after doing what I thought was the correct thing I am now unable to boot android. The phone has a screen saying Do Not Turn Off Target Device, and when I can get it in to odin mode usually goes back to that screen, occasionally I can get into the recovery, and I wiped partition data and cache data.
When it goes to Odin Mode it says:
Product Name: GT-I9305T
Custom Binary Download: Yes (29 Counts)
Current Binary: Custom
System Status: Offical
Knox Warranty Void: Yes
AP SWREV: A2
I believe you'd need a stock firmware flashed in order to boot.
Please post in Australian Galaxy S3 Thread so that one of the experts may be of help.
I have Galaxy S7.
I try to root the phone and put superman rom on and now the phone won't boot. I mean it's not booting at all. I try to boot in recovery mode and it shows
Recovery booting .... in blue and it goes to blue screen and it says in red custom binary blocked by secure boot (boot img) and also "system software not authorized by att has been found on your phone etc.
And when I go downloading mode it shows
Odin mode high speed
Product name smg930a
Current binary custom
System status custom
Fap lock on
Warranty voided 0x0
Qualcomm secure boot enabled
Rp swrev: n4 (2,1,1,1 ) k1 s3
Secure download enable
You can't flash a stock ROM from download mode with ODIN?
Well you can try to flash back a stock rom or try to recover the firmware with samsung kies 3.
I was rooting the phone and I accidentally erased the recovery partition on it. So i am unable to install twrp recovery to flash roms. I can't even put the phone in factory reset as the complete recovery is gone. Does anyone here know how to fix this issue? I have a Samsung Galaxy s7 edge model g935v verizon version. PS when I try to put the phone in factory recover this is what i get
Recovery Booting...
Odin Name (HIGHSPEED)
PRODUCT NAME: SM-G935V
CORRENT BINARY: Samsung Offical
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom
FAP LOCK: OFF
QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE
AP SWREV: B4(2,1,1,1,1) K1 S3
SECURE DOWNLOAD : ENABLE
and it just stays on this screen doing nothing.

I have a problem with my samsung galaxy s7. So i wanted to install a custom rom. It went wrong but there were no worries because i could still unlock twrp custom recovery. I had made a backup of my rom, i forgot to wipe the phone and then it got bricked. Now i can't unlock custom recovery and i have tried installing the firmware of my samsung galaxy s7 (android 8.0 oreo). It didn't work with odin because at failes the entire time. Trying a few times and i got another error: the error that says i should download samsung switch and do a emergency reboot. So I installed the smart switch software But it doesn't recognise my phone when I'm in download mode.
my SD card isn't corrupted. PLEASE HELP!!!!
