Nand Backup? - Ascend Mate 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello Guys,
i rooted and flashed cwm successfuly...i started Backup to sdcard..
But Where is My Backup...in cwm is present on system or pc i can't find it.
Thanks

If you have selected the first entry for backup in CWM, then on the internal, the second on the SD. Respectively in the folder ClockworkMod / backup.

i don't have a sd card yet so it must be on internal...i cant found there...

If you use an SD, then the folder is also created there. So always consider ws you choose, so you can find it.

Lost all of my backup roms!!

Okay so I just installed CM7 which worked fined and i was reading that i should partition my sd card. So I made a copy of my sd card on my computer and continued to partition my sd card 256/64. After the partition I just moved the file back to my sd card in recovery mode. I then rebooted which worked fine and syncd my google account. I installed simple2ext so i could move my cache to my sd card because i was unable to update rom manager and su or able to install any apps bigger than simple2ext. I installed titanium backup and noticed i had nothing to restore so I was going to go back to my original rom to back everything up again. I backed up cm7 then went to restore my original rom and all my previous roms I had backed up were gone.
Is there something I did worng? and am i able to get them back.
I did some searching and looked in my sd card from my computer and looked in clockwork folder and found my backup folder. I tired to move all of them back but said insufficient space and was only able to move one.
So now my question is did all my data from sd card not transfer over?
o noo that sucks man
if you made a rom backup, it would indeed be in the clockwork folder, as the progam that makes the backup is nandroid which is intergrated in the clockwork mod. Titanium backup is only for backing up loose apps and had nothing to do with rom backups.
If you still have the clockwork folder with the backups in them on your computer you should be fine. just transfer the one you want to use (they are named with dates and times) to the SD and go back into the recovery mode and use the restore option.
if you don't have enough space on your SD card, maybe you should make some available for the rom.

Yup found them on the sd card on computer. But how come they did not transfer after I recopied the SD card?
Had the same thing happen to me when I was on my GNEX. I now enabled dropbox to keep backup copies as well.
Something similar happened to me when I tried a ROM with 4ex recovery in lieu of clockwork. when i tried to access my backup it told me something about invalid md5 sum and backup failed. like it didn't exist. If all is still on your PC perhaps you should reformat the card then re-partition using a different source, and re-try.

Hi,
If you want to back up your sd card, take it out,put it in a card reader, and make a copy of it on your pc/laptop.
The backup you made in CWM/4EXT has to be saved somewhere.
It cannot make a copy of the place it is going to be saved.

The only partitions you will have from a full NANdroid backup will be the following:
Boot
System
Data
Cache
.android_secure
The only other information that might not get backed up would be the Dalvik Cache, which is reinitialized every time you start the device. Your applications that are moved to the SD card are backed up in the /data partition backup, not anywhere else. The only data that gets backed up FROM your SD card is .android_secure, which is a special folder Android keeps important stuff for apps in, but your apps truly are in the Data backup.

HELP!!!! No apps in titanium backup to restore.

Hi everyone, I recently installed cyanogen 10.1 for my note 10.1 N8010. It wouldn't install through CWM so I tried to install twrp through goo manager. It couldn't find a custom recover for my device so I flashed it through Odin. I was running android freedom at the time and had a nandroid of it. I wiped data in twrp, it said it would wipe data and cache only so I went ahead. After cyanogen flashed successfully I tried it out and downloaded titanium backup to restore my apps, they weren't there!!! Every restore option had a zero beside it, I checked the titanium backup folder to no avail. I decided to restore to android revolution as I had a backup. When I went to restore there were no files. No backup. I checked the clockworkmod folder and found the file but when I click properties it says - where size should be. Please help me as this is not my fault and I have a lot of important data in the backup. :crying:

Just check on your internal memory , there should be a folder named "0" , if you have this you will find all your titanium backup & CWM folder inside.

There's no "0" folder, would it be insidea folder itself or just on the SD card because I checked the SD card and is not there. :'(

Just move this to the root of the internal memory, get into CWM & you can restore your rom from there.
ok

OK, I'll try but I don't think it's going to work.
nope
I tried to restore in twrp and when it said to select files to restore nothing appeared, if the backup was made in CWM do I have to flash CWM recovery to restore it?

backup will be saved in SDcard/Clockworkmod/
you can copy this folder to your computer
then format SD and internal
then again copy this folder to SDcard and you can restore from CWM
Cwm backup and restore
This URL will give you a clear instruction on taking backup and restoring it through cwm recovery

Deleting nandroid backup made in CWM?

OK, so I originally had CWM recovery on my tablet and I created a nandroid backup through there to my internal tablet memory which used up like 5.5gb of my 11.95gb of usable space. Shortly after making the backup I decided to flash twrp recovery instead...
Now, how can I delete the CWM backup without having to reflash CWM recovery??
Just deleted the file

Thats just it, there is no file! The folder shows as being empty! I read somewhere that CWM now stores the backups as blobs or something like that and that you cannot see them using file explorers.
Edit: Nevermind. I finally found it! It was not in the normal internal sdcard folder like I expected... It was actually buried in the root of the device at /data/media/clockworkmod/backup
